people are just reading into this to much again. This happens EVERY time a new mmo comes out. Just let the game come out , play or dont play, but all these speculations dont mean krap til it goes gold and is playable. I could not stand playing The Secret World, at first. But once I got use to the mechanics of the game, I was loving the shit out of it!!. Either way If a game is to different from main stream people complain about the UI and controls being clunky, but in actuallity (not in every case though) its gamers not wanting to learn something new, and i was one of them...unknowingly lol. I honestly dont think Games/MMOs should even announce a release date or much info on the game til about 3months from release date. To prevent the flood of all this assumption and negitive hoopla |

Originally posted by Iselin Ding, Ding, Ding!! Finally someone with insight :) As a lot of people have stated, you dont need flipping 30 hotbar slots to make a game engageing or complex, one person used portal as a good example. And as I stated in another thread companies/dev's can not win anymore when it comes to the MMO community, they just need to stick to their guns. Why? Well lets see in the last 6 years, devs have announced SAID game coming out in q1/q2/q3/q4 and for what ever reason usually...mostly never hit the mark on their first release window anyway. We should all be use to this, but yet a lot of people start pulling out the pitch forks& torches demanding reasons. Secondly if a company (investors included) start to feel they should release it before its to late, its usually released unfinished. So then begins the Post launch complaining about all the bugs, and people asking why they released it in such state etc etc....well I wonder why. |

E3 Elder Scrolls Online Coming to PS4

Originally posted by superpata My best Guess would be more than likely PC&PS4 will share the same server. FF11 was released for PC/PS2/XBOX 360 and all shared the same server. Not to mention TESO is using a Mega Server, should help with connectivity. I for one am all for it, the more the merrier!! keeps the population/community healthy. And the whole " Its going to get dumbed down for controller use" is just non-sense. TESO is going for a minimal UI anyway so its not like playing "Said MMO" that has 30 hot bar slots on screen...with a controller. |

Things that will make this game successful.

Hmm :) Player and Guild Housing: To me It would fall into the single player aspect of ES that their trying to go for. Plus its just adds that much more emersion to a game Like TESO. I Loved the Lotro housing areas, minus the fact of how far away it was from town. FF11 housing was right in town, so friends/guild mates were more apte to visit your house. So putting the housing neighborhoods, near towns would create more of community IMO. And make the Houses with in the instanced neighborhoods open IE people can walk in and check them out, but of course have a mechanic in place that would not allow people to steal stuff :) , or move it around. Music/Playing instruments: yes another one from lotro :) . I think the music system in lotro was genius!! and again another element to add to the players emersion. it created another community all of its own, bands, events, and plan old FUN :) Cosmetic/Outfit system: Just another way to make it feel more like your avatar. And we all know the,not wanting to look like everyone else at endgame feeling too :). Hell would be awsome if they gave you the ability to select a look from various options in crafting armor :). Farm Land: Ok, im not a lotor purist, but I did love a lot of their systmes, and for me it was great to get away from adventuring to do some Tiling :), not for everyone though. Most of these would be great in Xpacs to! if not in game at launch |

Originally posted by flizzer It could be added later, STO, CoH and I know some other MMOs that added this type of feature later on. Cant have everything in game, or there would be now room for an expation. But I feel ya would be nice to have some sort of mod'ish stuff for TESO at launch. |

So Tired of it too! I want to enjoy my lollypop! http://youtu.be/17CKHuYx51U?t=9s Exactly! Say you go shopping for furniture. If you go to the Furniture Store and don't like a piece you see that they have in stock, Are you going to contact the manufacturer? Odds are you are going to walk past it and move on to the next piece. So if you dont like what you see move on...not to be rude, just trying to be sensible :) /bow

Warhammer was not messed up from the beginning what people keep failing to see is the Big wiggs want to keep pushing games out before they are ready, to make as much money as they can, and could care less,as long as they make their money back +profit. And what they fail to see is the fact that if you give a game time to develop and be fully finished they would make more money in the long&short run. I had a lot of fun in WAR but could tell it still needed some polish, it was pushed out 3-6 months early. Swtor's planets just felt empty about level 30ish/2months post launch . Still had fun in it though. |

Again if people would do more research. There is going to be a feature that is going to be a little forum,so to speak, that you fill out, about your play style(s) preferences. And then the Game/server will put you on a shard with people of like mindedness. So If you prefer solo play more than likely you will be put into a shard with soloers..so ya wont be bothered. And same goes if you prefer playing with people/ socializing. We all need to get past the "OMG you can solo to the endgame" attitude and realize that games and especially online games need to cater to a WIDE variety of players/play styles, AND especially with a Elder Scrolls game that is an MMO. So they have 3 crowds to make a game for. ES fans, MMO fans, and ES/MMO fans. Oh the big one for me, My buddy is excited and so am I. We both love ES games and MMOs. So if TESO is at least fun, engaging and allows us to have fun as friends. We could care less about certain features added, not in,etc etc. The fact they are focusing on Exploration, character/Class customization, and minimal UI is the BIGGEST one for us. Studios/Devs spend all this time making these awesome, beautiful world to explore only to be cluttered by a bunch of krap on the screen. |

DC Universe Online: Sony Announces MMOs Headed to PS4
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 6/06/13 3:38:17 PM
With the new gen consoles coming out, Most MMOs would be smart to try and release it for console, it would only widen the player base. And all mmos should have 1 sever :) but just wishful thinking.

In MMOs, leveling is a mindless time sink prove me wrong
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/21/13 6:46:45 PM
All I got to say is "Final Fantasy 11" before the increase leveling speed. I spent about 6 months (half casually, half not quite hard core) getting to level 40. But ill tell you what I LOVED every minute of it. IMO FF11 balanced leveling/grinding/story and housing very well. Not to mention at anytime you could switch Jobs (classes) with just one character. Yes some you had to go on an adventure/quest for,but thats the POINT. it made it feel more worth it,more grounded because you had to earn that job(class). and it felt that much more rewarding. but the biggest dalema is you CANT please everyone. Devs/publishers need to just focus on making a fun game. back before betas and forums lol :) where you bought a game and either: Loved it, Liked it, or Hated it. |

Its stupid that mobs drop "grey" Shit you just sell to a Vendor, just to fill up your bags..so you HAVE to go back to town to sell it. I would rather have less bag space/inventory space, and see more meaningful things drop, for a player to pick up. and just have the mob drop currency equal to what kind of "grey" item they MITE have dropped. That way I could spend more time exploring all these worlds these devs are making then spending 40-60% of the time running back to town.
