While I agree with you in large part a lot of people want in the beta to get an "edge" on the rest of the population on release. The industry has taken notice and is using beta phases to promote games as much as gamers are using them to play instead of test.

Here's the deal: No one on our staff wants to play Tabula Rasa so we are offering a permanent staff position and a free copy of Killer Guide's Tabula Rasa guide. We need a review of the guide and the game, if you want to review the guide and game itself then create an account here and post in the forums and we'll get you setup asap. There are a lot of other perks to being on the staff like banner placement and outbound links and what not. First come first serve.

Ha.....I feel ya. Although I did notice that quite a few things had changed for the better.......maybe someone will have something else to contribute thats worthwhile besides fanboi banter.

If you are currently playing Vanguard tell us what has changed since the server merge and patchs and anything new you know about the game. Is Vanguard any better?????????

I played early beta to a little while after release and I liked the game but server pop and bugs just ruined it for me....I had huge hopes for Vangaurd.

I am going to jump back in tonight hopefully and I hope it really is better. I have a 30 Cleric on the FFA server and I hope it will be fun to play again.

Lineage 2 had the sexiest dark elfs ev4r.....no contest.

The best upcoming are Age of Conan, Warhammer, Spellborn, and Darkfall (vaporware).

Age of Conan edges out Spellborn and Warhammer both in my book for several reasons including, guild mechanics and features, siege mechanics and features, the dark and sexy adult theme and look, and PVP features.

Don't buy vista yet unless your rig is almost exclusively for gaming and all of the games you want to play are brand new......there are appearently a ton of vista fanbois running around here commenting on my blog about how awesome Vista is.....trust me if you use your rig for resource intense applications other than brand new games just wait...

definately not.....in 06 I was like wow this is going to be amazing.....now Im like wow VG bombed and everyone else ran for 08...nice.

Where does it say Halo 3 is releasing in a month for PC?

Here's the deal...there are a ton of things that vista can do that Xp can't. DirectX10 being the big one obviously. Just because a system can't run direct x 10 or anything else doesnt mean it can't run the game. For example games that run certain pixel shaders run fine on video cards that cant handle those shaders you just don't get the full effect until use a card that can run the shaders...then everything looks better.

Developers and publishers make games that work with XP and Vista so that they can sell more games. Microsoft is sticking  to their guns of unethical business practices reasoning that they can make more off the sales of Vista that the game drives than the additional sales of the game that XP users who refused to upgrade to Vista would buy.

In short they are betting on at least a large percentage of the gamers that want to play the game lining up to get Vista......honestly they are probably right but I won't be one of them. I'll go to Vista when it works properly not because I got strong armed into it.

Well there is no doubt that attitudes haven't changed over there at Microsoft...I guess we will see if the gamers line up like lemmings to buy the "Halo 2 Package Bundled With Windows Vista" for about $250....personally I'm looking at Crysis and Quake Wars: Enemy Territory to fill my shooter void.

OK everyday that I read about more Halo 3 for XBOX 360 the more pissed I get. Once again Microsuck is using it's market leverage to force something down our throats....the difference is that this time I actually care. Yeah I hate what they did to SUN over open office and Microsoft Office. I hate the hostile business practices they used in the OS market......but trying to strong-arm us into buying Vista by releaseing Halo 3 and Halo 2(and I assume all other "Vista gaming" titles) exclusively for Windows Vista is going to far. I watched as Microsoft renamed my favorite gaming magazine "Games For Windows" and said to myself, "Well I hope this isn't what I think it is." It most definately is.

While I agree that we play for bragging rights in part it's because it makes it more fun for us. Our guild doesn't go around jacking people up for no reason but we do have a lot of fun seeing asshats get what they deserve.  So yeah we do play for fun...there are other aspects of the game that make it fun as well but but watching someone run their mouth on the boards and then posting a vid of them getting raped is still fun.

If you enjoy gaming then buy a PC..........Apple is reaping what it has sown with it's proprietary eliteist attitude....I have worked for a more than one game development company that did business with Apple and if you had any idea how they treat developers then you would know exactly why there are no decent games for Macs. Apple doesn't care about gamers they care about jacking up the price for exactly the same hardware with a little Apple logo on it. Apple abandoned gamers a long time ago so they can go get ********* for all I care.

Vanguard after the server merge is said to have improved but who the hell knows.........I have yet to relogin and check it out although I have been paying the monthly since release......I guess I just feel sorry for Brad...poor lil fella.

2moons is free but it's a korean grinder to the "T"....plus it's item mall supported which I despise.
