So... is the campfire still the same or have they actually added a flame to it? The lava effect is silly.

I've looked under game options but don't see the option to un-tick "off-set camera." Anyone know where the option is?

Do old accounts get all the expansions and adventure packs for free? My account is from 2004 and I'm pretty sure the only expansions I ever bought were DoF and EoF.

I noticed they are selling the game nowadays with all the expansions (even the new one) for about the price we payed for the base game. I'm wondering as a long time customer do they open up old expansions to the general population or do you still have to buy them?

The fact that we pay for MMO's is stupid. What suckers we are. We buy *copies* of software and then pay $15.00 bucks a month to be allowed to use it. Jesus, how dumb can we get?

Why don't they just make 1 single server? Then the game would be 'heavy' populated almost 24/7. When will these SOE people pull their heads out of their asses?

Well, if they don't add social features it will hurt the game. Those kind of features are what make a game feel 'alive.' I don't play MMOs anymore. They are ALL crap. I have a feeling this one will be more of the same (no matter what hype these business men try to sell us).

Years ago I said that "the new Star Wars MMO would be a WoW clone." A lot of people said they thought I was wrong.

This game is going to suck hard. I've been reading Old Republic comics and novels for years (since the 90's). I like the setting but really, does LA think "millions" of people give a rats ass? They are clueless corporate tools.

First off, "mainstream" Star Wars fans want whats in the films (namely, the classic trilogy).

Second, the only reason they set it in the Old Republic is so everyone can have a lightsaber (glow stick, yay!).

Thirdly, PC games are actively trying to become Console games (instead of the other way around).

This game is going to attract a huge WoW-type community. The same immature community that haunts games like Warhammer and LOTRO.

This game is so obviously going to suck it's not even funny. And it will fall far short of the hopes the corporate tools behind it are aiming for.

"Star Wars should be outselling World of Warcraft." Lucas Arts, much like George Lucas himself, has zero clue about entertainment.

I feel sorry for all you fanboys who hope for pre-cu-like openness and depth in this WoW-clone. It ain't gonna happen.

And please tell me you are kidding about the 30 second duration! If the damn thing is only up for 30 seconds what the HELL is the point?

We have been asking for campfires with a REAL purpose (ie, aggro reduction) and for the prupose of role playing for almost FIVE years (what ever happened to MMORPG?).

The campfire should remain in the world until you either disband it or move too far away from it (and also not be allowed near cities).

If they push it live like that then I give up.
