Wounder why they named the company GOA? Is it bacuse they r just a bunch of french pot smoking hippies? But, hey, seriously, nothing beats a MMO launch, in complaints and oppinions |

Servers will prolly be up at around 3 or 4am CET (just guessing), so no more playig tonight. Hopefully we'll get a whole day tomorrow. But since GOA doesn't have the best of track reccords, I guess that won't happen and we can kiss CE goodbye, as well. u cant even put in your pre-order yet!! Im starting to get fricking tired of this!! It's a shame I relly like this game. |

So we have an other day of playing! Thought the servers would be wiped Friday night. On EU servers that is... |

What about the EQ II' esque grafix of Vanguard? Where are the dense forrest for example, all I've seen so far are some trees dotted around the landscape 5-10 yards apart. No real mystery there . I will prolly give it a try though, since it will be released about half a year earlier than HJ. |

True! A totaly seamless world seems like a hard thing to pull off, and has yet to be achived (my money says that Vanguard developers have a hell of time trying to get a good balance). Thats not really what I want either. I'm just afraid that we are giong to sitt with another EQ II on our hands. With loading times every friggin time you go into a new zone. That more than anything ruined that excperience for me. And what was the deal with that friggin bell!! I quit playing after just three weeks mostly because of that. But im not a fan of games that does total inctansing either. DnD was just as big a flop as EQ II was. No, a smooth blend of both ways seems, to me, the way to go. You say that WoW does Okay job, but I haven't really seen any one game do it any better (I might be wrong on that account). If you can do it even better, I would be more than thrilled to pay my hard earned wages for this game |

As the topic sugessted, why?? Part MMO's is the fact that you step into a new and fantastic world through your computor. Where the grafics, sound and storyline will come together so that you together with your friends can have great adventures away from the mundane "real" world. Why in gods name don't they just make the game seamless so the immersion gets even better and more complete? Loading times makes MMO games feel boxed in, thats just a fact. And it saddens me to see that this game wants to use such a tool. It clearly has the best looking grafix, monsters and world I've seen so far (not to mention a neat looking character creation system)!! I say we need to rally, ladies and germs. We want this game, we want this game badly, but we want it seamless!!! |

Tell that to the poor buggers who still are stuck on EQ or DAoC. The fact is for a game to have a longer lifespan than the gamecontent is, foremost, the comunity, and seccondly, expantions for the community to interact in. But other than that, there is no way in hell!!

True, they look extremely alike. But for me thats not exaclty a bad thing. The things that ruined EQ2 for me war the points that Mike#### said. |

It looks cool enogh but the fact is, that the Ingame video seemed to be lagging like crazy! |

The thing is that a lot of people are starting to get pretty fed up with Wow. Don't take me wrong! I like it a lot! But the fact is that it's starting to get boring to play. After a year and a half (since EU relese), you've seen the world, done the end content (or most of it), grinded your ass of and fell asleep while crafting. Burning Crusade wont change much of it either (as far as combat and crafting goes). I say the world of MMO's is waiting for something new and more complex. Mabye not new, but different. To get excited over a cool spell, to see a new area, to get someting satisfaction from crafting and to meet new people. It doesn't matter if the game is 2nd 3rd or 10th gen as long as it feels fresh!! I hope Vanguard is that game, cus otherwise ... |
