If a modern MMORPG were done right, and still had fantasy elements it could be good.

Shouldn't mmo gamers in 2007 be ASHAMED of the shallow, non-challenging mmo that we have embraced??

"We really should be ashamed for supporting such mindless, un-challenging, all-reward, no risk eye candy today." - Zaxx
You really should speak for yourself. We all have our own tastes in games, maybe you like staying up at 5 in the morning with your "legendary" horde of friends so you can have a story to tell to all of us... But theres also plenty of people who can't afford to play the hardcore games. With Work, School, and just Life, it's not that easy. |

Almost everyone who has suggested Idea's are suggesting ideas that are would just turn warcraft into the hundreds of other Less Successful mmorpg's out there.
Honestly, we all give the suggestions like we know what is best for the game. With 8 million suscribers I think they know what's best. If your not one of those 8 million, just keep waiting and maybe that game you're waiting for will come. But for now, just let WoW be WoW and not try to change it. |

Its funny because, theres so many of these little forums all over the internet of people bitchin about whats wrong with world of warcraft, and complaining about how many people play. Then people reading them who have never played need to know why theres so much talk about it. So they try it, and they get hooked. Blizzard should be thankful for people like you!

Well game companies know that good reviews equals more players (commonly). That's why pepole review games. Yes, some reviews can be brief and unfair... "Dont play this game it sucks". I must agree there. But a well written review on a game showing why you like or dislike a game, can only be helpful.

Soloing in a mmorpg, will it ever be interesting?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/01/06 3:20:16 PM
Sometimes i personally enjoy it, but its almost always when i need to get something done really quick, or catch up to my friends etc. But I agree with the fact that groups are just as ''ocd'' as soloing, just much less noticable. It would be interesting to see a game that makes solo play... more interesting? |

MMORPG.COM News: Stargate Worlds GDC Preview
News Discussion « General Discussion 3/31/06 8:51:54 PM
Stargate being the enhanced and futuristic show it is, it can lead to a VERY promising game title. Of course you would want to stay away from looking like some other futuristic, space type games. But I believe they could make this an outstanding title.

Dynamic NPC's and balancing skilled based games
MMORPG Game Concepts « Developers Corner 3/31/06 8:47:08 PM
It sounds like an excellent idea. Often players are portrayed by the amount of enemies they have killed, determining their "skill level". Solving puzzles is a real life skill that would affect your abilities in the game. Sounds awesome. |
