Hello! I recently started playing DDO, and I have to say I am enjoying the game. I'm crawling through the dungeons of stormreach atm ^^ And I really like it. But I have a bid of lagg sometimes, probably cause I'm located in Europe, and there is my question are there anny plans from codemasters to bring the f2p version of DDO to Europe?
EDIT: -I edited the title of the topic from "will the f2p DDO come to Europe" to "f2p DDO comes to Europe" -After some forum and website crawling, I found this: (http://www.ddo.com/ddogameinfo/developer-diaries/899-ddo-unlimited-state-of-the-game-2010-) """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" InternationalIn 2010 we will be working to maintain our positive momentum from last year and grow our service to more players both in North America and around the world. A few of you asked about our plans for Europe, and though I can’t announce any specifics, I can say that we are working with our partners to get the new content and business model to our European players as soon as possible. We will share details with you as soon as we can. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
There you have it, it seems DDO in Europe will also go f2p. I hope I can transfer my char, otherwise I need to reroll :-) |

I knew warcraft before wow came out, I didn't had a warcraft rts, but I played warcraft 3 sometimes at a friends house. After wow came out in europe he started playing. I joined him 3 months after wow was released. |

None at the moment. I have DDO and ROM on my computer atm ( I uninstalled all the rest 132gb on games yay! bye WOW,WAR,GW,Archlord, TCOS...and all the rest I had on my pc..) I don't like ROM, I really tried it but I can't get into it.. It just doesn't suck me in. DDO chrashes sometimes, that sux indeed, and.. I don't know.. It looks really nice, but I think I need to have a few more game sessions with it, before I decide if it goes of my computer or not. I gonna uninstall ROM for sure now, tried it enough. For the rest, I still have my steam account, so I play CSS. And since this week I have portal (steam gives it away free!) and I really like the puzzlethings in it. Maby I'm out of mmo's I dunno.
(edit: spelling, I really suck in spelling) |

Can we get some people into the Game? (Poll)
General Discussion « The Chronicles of Spellborn 5/13/10 4:59:59 PM
I've played it a bid. The combat system is really awesome, and the world looks great and has a special sphere But I dunno, I didn't get into it, I need to get sucked into a game, or I won't keep playing it ^^ and that just didn't happen, but that's just me. Apart from that I have to say that TCOS is really a gem |

Codemasters lost the license and they had to shutdown their service. There is indeed nothing you can do I guess, you could go to court but.. would that help? I don't think that the people who spend money on it would get it back. Frogster cannot do annything about this I think. They could try to make an agreement with gamersfirst and runewaker to stop the IPblock, but I doubt that will happen |

as I said, you get what you paid for, you paid 'free' so you actually get nothing.. the moderators of ROM cannot help you, so don't blame them, it also are just people. |

mh that sux indeed.. But I guess frogster has a contract with another company that will host the Turkish ROM service. In Turkey another company has the license for ROM, cause it's outside Europe so it is another territory. I think there is nothing you can do, Frogster has to respect their license so if they don't use IP blocks they might get sued.
This is what I find on the forums:
But, I guess you can find a way to get around this IP block , just google a bid goodluck.
EDIT: I've read a bid through the ROM forums, it seems indeed that they didn't even inform their players about this. They just blocked the Turkish community. Unbelievable :o one of the worst customers services I've ever seen, a reason to stay away from ROM (this is why some games are free and others not, you get what you pay for). I would say mail of call to customer support and ask your money back, or some sort of compensation. |

Mh, ye I think so :p ah annyway, It will only take some time before we can make a topic in general with: "watch this: leave Derek Smart alone" :p Ah well, it actually became a bid pathetic, everything what happened around Alganon became more entertaining then the game itself. Derek Smart has to stop with sitting on forums and websites all day and posting stupid comments. He has no time for that, I thought he had a game to fix.
(now, we're ontopic again ;-) ) |

for me, Alganon now just lost all his credibility. Really everything about and around this game became a joke, Mr. Smart is what I call an idiot. It just became one big joke... I think it will only take some time untill they run out of money, I mean who wants even to invest his money in this project?? |

Former Players Poll. Are you resubbing for CAT ?
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 5/10/10 11:07:49 AM
I don't know, I might give it a try when cata comes out. I'm getting out mmo's a bid. The little spare time I have, I spend on playing aoe2 and css online with a few friends. I tried ROM and DDO, but meh... I don't get the 'mmo' feel in those. So, if cata comes, and I got more time to play, then yes, I will be there again |
|

hahaha ^^ we'll this is actually a rlly fun game (for 5 minutes, or more! ) It could be the perfect facebook mmo :p |
|

you don't need to get to a pve server to find good raids. Just go to dalaran and check the general/trade/lfg chat. There are raids everywhere |

will you play wow again when the cataclysm comes?
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 4/28/10 11:25:18 AM
I was really burned out of wow but I was just wondering how manny people will return to wow when Cataclysm releases. After reading what will change on their website and on the wow forums, I might return when cata comes out. It sounds really refreshing, a lot of things will change. true it isn't the oldskool vannila-wow anny more, but.. you can still have fun :) ! What do you think about Cataclysm? and will you return? |

As long as the devs release new content, the mmo won't end, cause there is always something to do. An mmo ends when they pull the plug out of it. |
