First of all, who cares.. every mmo takes ideas from other mmo's so it's hard to bring something "new" to the mmo-market. And yes maby wow wasn't that original, but it mixed the best elements and it gave me that "mmo-fix" I needed ^^ , Wow was and still is a great game, although I have to say I miss the pre-tbc times a bid, and I quited wow a few months ago, I can't say much bad things about the game. A good thing about wow is that it brought a LOT of new people to the mmo market, and that is a good thing right?

I don't  think I gonna return in the near future, I wait until WOTLK comes out and see what happens.

I have bought lotro and downloaded some other mmo's I wanna try first before I go back to wow

I found out ryzom has become free to play,

so I downloaded the game and i really like it ^^

But will ryzom stay f2p or will it go back to p2p after a while?

Ik heb nog niet zo lang geleden lotro gekocht maar eigenlijk heb ik daar nog maar nauwelijks op gespeeld (druk leven)ik heb eigen geen mmo meer deftig gespeeld sinds wow , dus ik weet niet of het een goed idee is nog een nieuwe mmorpg aan te schaffen. Nouja, nog veel succes met lowland elites!

So I made an account on ryzom! finnaly! I really can't wait to play the game! But ofcourse my firefox downloader had to chrash just in the last few seconds of downloading.. that sucks..

Now the file is broken and I can't install the game. So I will remove it and download it again! This time in explorer ^^ I hope I can walk around in Atys verry soon!

But my actual question is: Does this game run on VISTA?

EDIT: OMG!!! now I downloaded ryzom with internet explorer, and half away the download the downloader just quited service!!! jezus christ!!! It seems god doesn't want I play ryzom or what?? Downloading it one last time now... I hope it works or I will just smash my computer to dead! I got really fustrated by now "thinks of the angry german kid on youtube"... I give the download one last shot. If it doesn't work this time then... I will not play ryzom. I can maby try with torrents, but my download limit will be used very fast this way.. strange enough but I still got only 10GB a month... wish is not mush

I'm also searching for a long long time for such a game, and I still didn't find it.

I'm a wow vet, I played that game for years. I also played GW for a long time.

I bought lotro but I didn't created my account yet due to some financial problems.

I also hope to find a free mmo that's fun and isn't a total grind and I can tell you: It's hard to find!

You should try out archlord, bid of a grind but quite fun for a free game (at least for a while). I also tried it but i removed it from my computer because I had these strange errors all the time.

A fun game with pvp, nice world, quests ect is regnum online: www.regnumonline.com.ar But I can tell you those graphics sucks... But if you don't care you should try that one. The game has promissing features.

Another game I heared great things about is ROHAN online. It isn't added in the game list here yet. I don't know why but annyway.. www.playrohan.com take a look here.

If you haven't tried Guild Wars I would say buy the box! you won't regret It's a nice casual game and it has no monthly fee!

2 Free games I'm looking forward to is Perfect World and Runes of Magic. They both look nice and have promising features so keep an eye on those

I played the 14 days trail and i was impressed! so i bought lotro! But because I didnt have time in july to play the game I waited with buying a gamecard ( I always pay my monthly fees with gamecards, i find it verry easy )  a friend of me bought a gamecard in july. Now its half august and I can't find a gamecard for lotro! ( i'm talking about european stores in Belgium). So whats going on? it seems that those gamecards just don't exist anny more or what?

Have you ever read the (never-ending) Wheel of Time series? With so much info contained in the encyclopedia-sized volumes I always figured this could probably fly as an MMO. There are tons of large battles and political strife and factional goings on that it could be a fairly engrossing game.

The problem I found was it would probably not appeal to the hard-core fantasy types as there are no dwarves or elves, and you'd have to make the magic-using Asha'man a questable class like jedis were pre-NGE.

why needs blizz to get knocked off? If you do not like wow just quit it and play another game..
