Depends. If you've already played every quest based mmo like eq,eq2,wow,warhammer etc etc.... then you're def not missing out. I've played em all, including lotro ( got mines of moria expansion too ) and they're all quite similiar.

Requiem: Bloodymare. I heard so much about how awesome this game was for being F2P. One of the shittiest games I've ever played. The most overrated F2P on my list.....

And I'm trying to get into it. I'm like completely new. Just started off at the trial - I would appreciate if some more experinced players could help me out and answers a few questions if i run into stuff, i started a live stream so that some friends could experience it with me. I don;t know if they are totally revamping Avatars but I did read about armor graphics changes and additions like showing off belts and braces.

I also know they had a couple reskinned heads they showed off when they were working with Ogre engine.

I can't put my finger on it, but comparing different aspects of WoW and LOTRo, LOTRo usually comes out a winner in most aspects, however, i still find WoW more fun to play. I got bored with LOTRo pretty quick for some reason ( a couple of chars in their 20's ) I think it might have something to do with the combat. LOTRo's combat feel slow and boring while WoW's seem a bit faster to me.

Sry for stealing ur thread JG, i just have one question. I haven't really been up to date with AO and it's graphics change, but i wonder if they'll update character models too? last time i checked no one was sure. Thanks!

Meh, why look at the company instead of the actual product? Most successful devs started out small before they got big.

The Star Wars movies are epic, the older ones were so ahead of it's time in terms of technology etc. Movies released 15 years later + has crappier and more fake looking effects. I was amazed when i re-watched the old series, i can higly recommend it :P

There are alot of games out there that i don't play. That doesn't mean i hate them. People who rant about HATING this game and HATING that game really needs to get a life - There has got to be something better for you guys to do rather than expressing your hate for a game.

I've never played DF before, however, i do hang around these forums enough to hear how bad it is...tho i got to say this sounds like a lot of fun, GL defending :P
