Gaming companies underestimate the importance of the death penalty. I'm suprised no one has created a game like Demon Souls. When someone dies they convert to soul form and can keep playing but certain aspects of the game are different. Heck someone could make an entirely unique game inside a game when someone dies. Just make it challenging to get yourself resurrected back to the upper living layer of the game.

On topic staying dead for a while could give the player a much needed break from the game.

Maybe they are "toning it down" so it's easier to manage on a console. Never know with Blizzard. First pandas, now Chuck Norris....what next? Personally I would have rather had Emerald Dream and have murlocks and naga as playable races.

Go where the money is. Any smart business will concentrate on areas of better profits. It's all about the benjamins.

42months x 50$ = 2100dollars deposited

I have withdrawn 3300dollars

My avatars tt value is around 2000dollars if i sold out now without trying to get market value for my more valueable items.

So I have gained approximatly 3200$ playing for 4 years. (my first 6 months i played without depositing)

The 3300 withdrawl was from a lucky loot, so if you dont consider it, I have spent 100$ more than my TT value in the last 4 years and had a blast playing and making tons of friends.

I have worked it hard, and studied every thing ive done before doing it. But even if you did 1/2 as well (excluding the lucky loot) it is still pretty reasonable cost for the entertaniment I have gotten back.

If you don't mind me asking, about roughly how much have you invested in your character since its creation?

I'd play it if

- Super slow skill gains, so slow there are only a handful of people on the server with high skills

- Random skill gains, you never know when you will gain

- Rare items are actually rare

- Open PvP with full looting

Instead of learning to play the game and get on with it if something like this happens we have this.

Over-active imagination + anxiety + never got attention when little + self esteem issues= crying to developers to change the game to fit their personal sickness. Games usually start out great, then the whiners move in and wreck everything.

Learn to play the game?

They will become more popular as time goes on. Why take the time to learn2play a game when you can drop $5.00 and get stuff to "help" you have more fun? Why take the time to explore when you can click a button and get an item to teleport you anywhere in the game?

I think the ESRB is a waste of time. If people want their 7 year old to have Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3 they will buy it for them even if it's rated 17+.
