I have to agree with Blackwatch replied to Tones post, I'm happy he did in fact, I would have been less tactful. You are pretty dead on... I still don't see VG as a failure, maybe it's not what ppl wanted it to be "the next WoW killer". There was some good things and some bad.. still some left on both side! I did like Brad vision of the game and the original team working on it.. it's just sad how it ended up when it went retail.. but then again don't tell me you didn't see this coming a mile away. The second M$ pulled out we knew something was wrong... going back to SoE just to try to save it, probably put a lot more presure and rush to finish the product.

In the end, you either like him or not.. it's your opinion, personally I liked him, I did enjoy his vision, very happy I played it... Now would I play another MMO he made? maybe if it wasn't produce by SoE

From old to new they just don't seem to get much better, Warhammer seems as if there playing the safe road and just do the WoW thing, BUT Age of Conan is trying to give what a lot of people are screaming for high end graphics. Actually, WAR went with the way thing been done for 20 some years for them! Look at anything from Gamework Shop and you will see, it always been like it from 40k to fantasy... and in fact WoW copy the format.

The problem is not technology, but the _avg_ computer setup, I played all those games you mention, and agree on most part of what you did say about them. But if you want something that is visually stunning and want to be able to run it at more then 10 FPS, then you gonna have to cut some corner. We all know not everyone can afford a brand new pc every 3months to keep up with "Moore's Law" 

I played all type of games, from instance all the way, to small zone, to large zone... and to tell you the truth each time I found a flaw. It's like I can never be happy. Instance you lose on ppl interaction, large zone you have to much ppl interaction, small zone well train and to many ppl.  Wait a sec, I'm totally off topic now :( but my point being, you have to balance the two, the zone type will determine what type of graphic your game will support. Character model is a large one too, I mean, we all want diff type of armor, we all want to be special looking.. and yet we want to have the game run at 1000 FPS, well this can't happen.

I'm starting to believe that yes a physic card would greatly help the gaming industry, you could have the card run most of the partical (sp) effect, cause we all know the most laggy zone in any MMO are those with a lot of partical effect, Fire come to mind.

Don't know why you so upset with Brad. on white paper VG was amazing, in practice that's another story... But I do have to agree, he ain't a good manager :(

I'm happy that you are happy with her... but personally I'm not at all. The fact that when she started crying to the entire guild (cause the first few officers just laughed at her) the current petition was more clean then a bar of soap! So maybe you should get the fact right before making assumption or getting info from one side. What make this more funny, the petition in question was a valid one concerning a NPC mob that wasn't poping up after a kill that was a few days prior.

As for the strat they used on Core and Koto ... what does that tell you, if a playing GM is in a raid that is EXPLOITING and nothing is done, like maybe a warning... But from your opinion there, it's ok to exploit as long as you don't get caugh!? So the rules only apply to those not having GM in their guild? Here I though GM were suppose to show the way for other in and off the field.

But maybe that is just me... Not like She gonna BAN me, she can't cause I did nothing wrong. She just didn't want to do her "job".

To bad VG is turning into a WoW clone and EQ 2.5 or a pre-eq, guess the Dev that are left need to recycle old ideals to make VG more fun, Jboot was pretty nice

So today I get the great news from an officer in my guild that, I'm not permited to summit /petition in VG anymore or face being BAN ! rofl... oh wait I can't petition BoW exploiting Core? BoW exploiting Koto? BoW training group in OT? or how BoW is exploiting Blood Mage ?

Oh wait, you guys didn't hear this one, cause SoE quickly deleted the post on the forum, but about a month ago, we had someone afking near one of the name in APW minding his own business, when BoW decided to attack the mob.. when they notice him. First reaction to this was to TRAIN HIM.. that didn't work the way they wanted since he lived. so then they had to get creative

The funny thing, is that the person who train our buddy, actually said that he was order to train him in /general chat for all to see ... (so what happen to that monk? NOTHING, he's still playing VG in BoW) if anyone else would have done that... instant BAN .. I know, I have an EQ1 account BAN for what the gm called "training" while I was fearing mob at the entrance of the zoneline trying to kill this one dog.

... took a Blood Mage and went to a section where BM heal actually dmg you and your Defense target... seem the exploit here was that there is NO RANGE... so you can actually kill ANYONE in the zone that you wish. When that person was reported the GM basically just laugh it off. When this was posted on the board about why no action was taken, the post was quickly deleted. Oh well, what can I say, Que sera sera.
