Poll: Do you play male or female characters?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/03/13 11:38:14 AM
Hm well it doesnt rly have anything to do with sexual insecurity for me at least. If you have to wonder about if thats it is... that kinda means that you got a problem with yourself. Me being a dude playing female chars sometimes has something to do with ...the only time i can make a chick do allmost what ever i want! Wohooo! Try that IRL ^^ In WoW a gnome female lock was fun as hell In Aion female chanter was just evil and helpfull at the same time In Planetside 2 there is something satisfying about a lil girl taking down big bad guys...and in a bad way too XD |

My gawd so many people in this thread argueing over who, what, where and how much. ITS DEAD! Its like standing over a dead prostitutes corpse and arguing how good a lay she was!
PreCU SWG was awesome - people loved it - they ruined it CU SWG was tolerable - people adjusted - they ruined it some more NGE SWG was playable - some people where persistant - they killed it
Left shortly after CU launch but still closing SWG is like the death of an old friend. For me NO MMO or gaming experience have given the thrill of a PreCU jedi bountyhunt. No MMO have given me such an amazing feel of ingame community. No MMO have given a feel of a second life with housing, unique crafting and the possibility of a unique template (still preCU) Still thankfull for all the good times now 6 years later! Will never forget you SWG reset in pieces......bitch

Star Wars Galaxies: October Producer's Letter

Originally posted by KyBo Yes it had its bugs but to this day after 1000s of MMOs preCU still was the most diverse and complicated MMO by the means of choises you could make as a player. Never has so many proffessions been available to skill up in to mix and match YOUR way of living the true Star Wars saga (without zombies) Have yet to see a MMO as living as when you landed in Cnet and see 1000s of people everywhere doing their trading spam not only for their vendor but for their entire shopping halls with filled vendors, bufflines filled with newcomes to the game randomly interrupted by a bounty hunter capping his mark, people meeting in the cantina getting buffs (remember Jolen in the backroom), people clearing wounds after hours of grinding swapping stories preparing to head out again, 100s of medics training in the med centre (remember those days earning money by taunting/warcry to get healed?) Where guilds/klans where declaring war on eachother EVERYWHERE. The WHOLE world was a battleground! When krayt dragons where a rare and special occasion to find and fight (spending 6 hours a day looking to find one and for me.. I'll do it again in a heartbeat paying for it) SWG was alive!.... and it didnt f*ing suck ^^ |

I got the same story, coming back and leaving a month or two after. Also miss the game immensely. By my opinion it was the best sandbox ever made, most diverse with spacecombat, real crafting classes and the best ingame economy ive yet seen in an MMO. Now its just a clone. Removing decay ruined the amazing crafting system which made the game alive. Coming back is like visiting an old ghosttown. Theres the latecomers to the game who havn't seen what it used to be who disagrees. But the game is a mere shadow of its greatness. Everytime I come back I have some fun for a while but every single time I start missing the good old days.. the friends and the enemies |
