Mining boring? Botting?

I know plenty of people that enjoy mining, find it relaxing and rewarding to say "This ship I made myself" though they cry hard when it dies...:P

Seriously all games have their 'grindy' part, if you don't like that in eve, don't do it.

1) Yes, although there is no such thing as leveling up.

2) Nope, currently just a room by yourself, this is why loads of people got very angry...also most people I know have it turned off.

3) Again as other people say catching up with vets is not an issue, there are many ways you can catch up.

- Money - Many people make Billions easy, the multi trillion of alliances you'll have to work hard getting

- Skill - Not worth worrying about this, most people only use BC really, think of other as aspirational points. I can fly carriers (2004 character = couple of years break) but never had a desire to fly them. Also if you could use everything from the bat or after a week as in wow you would get bored very quickly.

- Experience - This you won't have and will be hard to catch up, remember scamming and griefing (being killed where it is semi safe) is part of EVE. Remember never EVER fly anything you can't afford to replace a couple of times unless you are someone who doesn't mind working from the bottom up again. I know some people who see it as a challenge whereas others will emo quit and never come back.

Oh dear, some people are upset that a game isn't hello kitty online and the people who play it are not angels.

I don't support the Mittani and I didn't vote for him, but he said something silly when drunk and I really really don't care.

There are worse things said in game every day to people, in fact I've heard worse when I played wow alot.

If you think progression is level etc then you will be disapointed with EVE, skills train over time, but that doesn't mean you will not be able to do anything. A fleet of 40 people who have only played a week can kill most things other than a capital ship. To fly a titan you need a year or focused training or more, but you also need billions of isk and you would be pretty useless at a lot of things.

As for PVP, EVE is pvp either market, trading, manufactoring or good old blowing other people up.

Its actually fun and you just need to get over being scared of it. The unfortunate thing is when it comes on you when you are reading a book while mining, but then its just 'shrug' get new ship and be more careful next time.

EVE of course, nothing so far touches it in scope, vision and damn sexiness.

Perpetuum might come in after :)

That so looks like graphics, and I suspect you have a popped capacitor on your board. look at the board and see if you have any round things (the compacitors) with a domed top.

I had that happen to my graphics card after a power surge. The temp would spike massively also (I would be freaking out atih a 85C graphics card heat...)

For the non-tabletoppers: In 2011 GW switched to a 'resin' for all the models they used to make in metal. Games Workshop hs been like that since the 80's. Changing their figure size so that noone else's would look right in their game etc.

Yeah you really need to sort that graphics card out. Its a little behind the rest in terms of spec.

I chose galentee when I started in 2003 as I liked the back story...didn't like the idea of religious nuts or slaves or corporate people.

Starting out now I would either be caldari or Minmatar as their ships are flown lots, also ammar are good for that as well. Different training set ups for each of them though.

Galentee have hybrid guns which have just had a little balancing up on them, but not 100% sure on what people think of it as I don't theory craft in anyway :P

True depends on if the McDonalds is Franchise or not, in the UK most are owned by McDonalds and the quality is still good, using good british and irish beef etc

Not tried it in america recently.

The main problem with SWTOR in my opinon is its mostly going off both the Star Wars Franchise and the Bioware name.

I subscribe to 3 mmo's at the moment, and play each one for different things, I play WoW for the social factor and raiding, EVE for the strategy and epic stories and perpetuum for the open world feel I had in EVE back in the old old old days.

I did play Rift for a while when it started, that was when I had quit wow, but it actually made be get back to wow in the end.

From what I've seen, read and heard people say (who aren't star wars nutt jobs and refuse to think anything bad about a star wars game), is that it is like wow.

Plus they are taking the pee on the price points they are using! Disgusting in this current climate but people will pay it.

WoW Clone (well until I try it next week) :P
