You're assuming that every MMO player wants the same things from an MMO. I know people who love WoW and hate SWG, I know people conversely who hate WoW and love SWG, then those who loved EQ but don't like EQ2, and those who love UO and think all 3d MMOs suck. You can't please everyone, so you produce a different product for each group of people. It shouldn't be that they make one perfect game, they should make as many games as they like and they should all be perfect. There is no excuse for a buggy poorly supported unfinished game, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY OTHER GAMES THEY MAKE! |

Developers produce multiple games to target multiple markets. SOE may have more cross over than other companies but they also have more MMOs, and the station access system. If Blizzard made World of Starcraft or World of Diablo, do you think it would grow their subscriber base or just spread out the existing WoW players across three games? It's not like single player games where you do sequel after sequel, the logic is different, it's all about branching out and diversifying. |

Fail. There is nothing low about CCG, micro transactions, item shops or non-subscription methods of supporting an online game. |

I'll get excited about Darkfall when I actually have a copy in my hands. The game has been in development for too long for me to really give two shits about it anymore. |

If other games are any example the good guys will always out number the bad guys, but the bad guys will be better organised and still wtfpwn in PvP. |

Planetside for twitch DAoC for conventional gameplay Conan would be up there if it was buggy and incomplete. |

Of note, I don't blame Funcom for anything beyond ignoring a few class bugs. I expected more from the way they'd spoken about the state of the game up to launch, but it's not really suprising that it's in the state it is in or that it will take so long to feature-complete it. After all, every other MMO company has taken us for a ride, and Funcom don't exactly had the pedigree of producing quality at launch.
Life sucks, get over it. |

It's not big secret that the game's finish state will be when it launches on the Xbox and not before. Most of us are just amazed at how much of it is still unfinished. |

Wouldn't buy from the spammers, it's like would you buy from the guy standing on the street corner in a long coat, with a suitcase full of goods and shifty look to him, or from the electronics chain with a known brand name and legal responsibility. So many of those dodgy RMT companies break the law and because most of them are based outside of the US, they get away with it. |

Neo Steam is a Korean grinder, the concept is better than the actual game. If you want a free to play Sandbox, try Mabinogi. |

Not sure how this has anything to do with WoW, SOE is basically introducing new gameplay features that can be found in other CCGs, whether they are in WoW's CCG or not is irrelevant, as that is more than just a copy of every other CCG out there. Seriously, OP needs to find a new hobby, hating SOE is so 2005. |

Okay, theme aside, BioWare planned 2009 as the launch year, it slipping a year isn't really a big deal. 2005 to 2010 is only 5 years from concept to release. |

Social sandbox eh... Second Life. If you liked PvP, then we could've said Earthrise, Darkfall, APB, and others that are in development at the moment. |

BioWare have already publically denied they are working on Kotor3 though it's possible their MMO is set in the Kotor universe it is not the third game in the series. Though given their statements on the matter and the timing of other Star Wars media, clone wars would appear to be the much better setting for it. |

Considering both BioWare and LA have publically denied they are working on KOTOR, I think this is a load of bull. And force unleashed for the Wii will have "lightsaber action" so that solves that mystery. These rumors are getting stupid. |

With your preorder you should've received a cd-key style code to enter in the Funcom site, without the code you can't do early access, whether you pay $5 or not. |

Are you talking about the OB client? It's totally different from the CB client. Whilst I couldn't get the OB to run at all, I had a try at the CB from a friend and it was perfect, performance wise anyways. So whilst this is going to be a terrible launch, it's not going to be the end of the world as Funcom will resolve most of the problems fairly quickly. |

Originally posted by Shannia O2 8mb plan, I'm less than a mile from exchange so get near maximum speeds for the line, where as previous address I was over 2 miles from the exchange and received half that speed at the best of times. Drop off is quite steep over distance for ADSL in countries with older telephone networks. ADSL2 is being rolled out this year though and I should see a boost in speeds when I get it in November of over twice what I have now. |

This is because there is two rmt companies operating in these games using stolen US credit cards to purchase stuff from the item shop, so all new payment options must be vetted by Codemasters to ensure they aren't using stolen credit cards or are of a high fraud possilibity. Seriously, you have screwed banking system in the US where you can just google for credit cards. |
