The combat system is good. At first it will seem like mashing on any unguarded area is the best thing to do. But then you realize if your combo finishes in a unguarded area, then thats the best damage. So at first it is gimmicky, but when you get more combos, and chain them to get the best DPS then its diffrent. I dunno about spellweaving and range though.

I know there are player made cities and I cant tell from that video if the place is a instance or actual part of the open world.

Haha Mor hopefully they do that with AoC and replace cities with Player Made Cities!

Also anyone know what the Borderlands are? Is it like a instance or controllable part of the world..(Hyboria?)

TBH OP is kind of immature. But yea blood and boobs are the least of the things that intrest me and I could care less if both were removed... Although I will miss my blood splattered screen.

Like many other real players (not fanbois nor naysayers) I can see the immersion in some of the features. Like climbing, although it may seem like a very minor thing, its it diffrent when you are in some ruins, and see a huge ledge. Then finding a ruined ladder structure that saved you a bunch of time from traveling. To me this climbing aspect puts me deeper into my avatar shoes. If only it adds a layer of strategy/tactics during pvp sieges. I can understand that climbing may not mean anything to you older vets.

Also even though the combat is, lets face it almost does nothing diffrent then autoattack, I still like that you have to think before you attack. Right now I have a few combos and most of them use a left attack to intiate. So usually I have to either open up with a top/right combo or attack those sides so I can do lots of dmg when my opponent tries to block these sides. Although its not totally redefining the MMO genre I like the steps it and WAR are taking. Also a shout out to Aion : ). And trust me I am not a graphics whore, Id much prefer a old school game of xcom.

I will admit also that I always desired mounted combat. Hopefully it isnt to imbalanced. My one main gripe about AoC though is PvP minigames, unless they can give players a reason to world pvp it will be hard for me to enjoy a RP-PvP server. One of my fave things in WoW was RPing and then raiding cities for RP reasons. (Read not ganking, although these raids always ended with high lvl horde coming and running us out, we did have a few successes though)

Blizzards a pretty good company, although many say otherwise. With both diablo 2 and warcraft 3 they still did patches even though they could have easily just let the games be, since they both still had strong numbers.

Even though they are charging for BC and WotLK they have released plenty of free content. I think they will support WoW for at least another 5 years, and then updates will slowly come around every now and then.

By then they will defintley have another MMO, probaly even have another one up competing with WoW.

Hehe lets just say I feel a lot more comfortable with how Retail will look performance wise, still gonna see about overclocking and ram upgrade.

If I bought this PvP pack would I also be able to make any of the classes? Or do I also have to buy that expansion pack to make that particular class?

Well how would they be able to tell the diffrence. Its still a thrid party program that caused this. The program for the joystick probaly had autofire on or something.

Unlike all you fools that have loyalty to two games that arent even released yet, I will enjoy both WAR and AoC.

Both look great to me in their art style/visuals and both are gonna offer new ideas.

Im not 100% up on either although I am in the Conan beta, but the main thing that stood out in war to me was the community quests, where people actually you know work together and the rewards are spread to many people.

I believe both games also are gonna have avatars take up actual space (no going through people) which opens up new tactical strategies.

1st: Where is the official forums? I couldnt follow any links from the main page to find one.

2nd: I applied for beta back in halloween of 07 and it says my activity was that same day. Im sure this affects me being accepted into the beta and can not find out how to update my activity. I did however update my system info.

Honestly if he doesnt know to post specs and it seems like he just got into PC gaming because he heard a friend say WoW was fun, I doubt he would be able to put together a computer.

And to run wow a prebuilt would almost be same price as a newegg built one.Savings start to come in when you are trying to get good quality brands/parts like CPU, memory, video card and such and arent getting over charged.

For like a few hundred dollars he can go to any comp store and get a decent computer.

I think a major gripe is that sniping someone in the face with a rail bolt should be instant kill.

I was fine with sniping except for that part which meant snipers only went for body shots.

BFRs assisted in killing the populus. I much prefered tanks, gals, reavers, and transports. If they were gonna add mechs, they shoulda made them the size of Aliens loader.

Yea sorry about that link. Been a while since I messed with ram so I saw the price and 2x 2gb dual channel and thought it was a steal. Seems thats the norm now though.

I will have to look into overclocking and such. Always been intrested in doing it and my first attempt I got scared and set everything back to default : (.

Yea I read somewhere in one of the "Help boost your performance guides" on the beta forums and also theres a sticky here that 2 gigs in a minimum while 3 gigs is what you need for smooth performance, and 4 being the most needed.

I have no idea if i have 32 bit or 64 bit xp either.

So that memory is not compatible with this mobo? And all that info is from Cpu-z or some program.

I want to get some good performance and was reading how 3gb was nesscary for smooth game play....

Any other info please ask here, also this is my current pc (Not one i am trying to build) So yea im thinking right now my weakest part is my memory or graphics card. Everything is stock clocked and i probaly will need to order fans if you guys recommend me to over clock.
Since the only fans i have are on the PSU, CPU and one on the back of the case.

Njai15 we adhere to all NDA's set forth by MMO companies, so unfortunately we can't answer that question.  But, come launch we will be ready to chop some heads off on the PVP-RP server.  It is open pvp everywhere except major cities and the RP part is just a stricter naming rules, so you won't see people named Konan, OMG34LOL, or PewPew running around.

If u can run cod 4 on high on MP then you should be able to run this at least on medium

Lol its not just the SWG burn victims... Planetside was a great game under SOE... it deteariated.

Other then EQ games I cant think of any SOE games that havent had an uproar with its community because of something dumb SOE did.

Sound emo if ur not gonna try WoW just because everyone hates it because its popular. EQ2, or if just being able to solo in WoW makes u in cringe, I suggest final fantasy. You cant do anything without a group past lvl 5ish.

I don't think theres anything you can solo in FF11. Watch as you try to take on just one mob equal to your level

And for the record, wow is dead to me for the gay ass new Hero class that they will release, and stopped subbing a long time ago. And still waiting for AoC!
