Game runs fine and looks good to me.  People saying the graphics are from 1990 are clueless drama queens.  Yes, I've seen MMOs with better graphics, but not many.  The sad truth is that those MMOs with better graphics didn't keep me playing anyway, and I'm assuming they didn't keep the complainers here playing either.  Otherwise, they would be happy with their shiney graphics and not bitching here about SWTOR.  Wierd, huh?

The game is decent as a free to play type game. But it is not an mmo its more of a single player RPG with some chat thrown in. Who is actually willing (Be honest) to pay $15 dollars  a month for a game not worth one penny???

Odd....  Today I've joined a guild and grouped on and off for hours.  I don't recall doing that in Skyrim or any other single player RPG I've played.  I guess if you want a game to not feel like a single player RPG, you have to be social?  There's plenty of group content in game if you really want it.  Who would have thunk it?

Oh, to answer your question, I would and will continue to pay a monthly fee as long as the game is entertaining.

Day 3 Update - Still bugged and unable to accept missions or clear my pending rewards.  I finally got a response today stating that they were passing the info on to their support team and thanks for my patience.

I have already re-rolled on another server and spend the better part of today leveling that character up.  THe server load on that one is now showing Heavy.

IMO, It's a really fun game but Bioware is showing it's lack of MMO experience.  I hope they get better with time.

Pick a less populated server?.

How long would it take to get to where you are now? Can't be that long since early access haven't even been a week yet

 1.  Nearly all the servers are either listed as Heavy or Full.  And we're still into pre-release early start.  Yeah, I could pick another server and hope it doesn't fill up like mine did, but chances are it will.

2.  I've got several hours invested already and don't really want to start over and play through the same hours and hours of story that I've already experienced (don't like re-runs on television either -- same deal).

3.  I am annoyed that my main can't do anything until they figure out this bug and fix it.  According to the post the devs made about it yesterday on the forums, they need us to code the bug as "blueberry" so they can gather data on it to figure it out.  Given that, I'm assuming they're currently clueless as to what's causing the issue and my main will sit idle until they come up with a fix.

It's a great game when it's working, but right now (FOR ME) it's frustrating.

First, long lines to long into my server, and now my main has a bug that keeps him from accepting mission rewards, new missions, or even crafting.

Yeah, the game and story are amazing and fun and addicting, but hitting long wait times and game breaking bugs in the headstart phase of the game is very concerning.  I hope Bioware gets their act together quickly.

There are times I actually hope they never release ArcheAge in the West because I don't think we really deserve it.

Speak for yourself.  I just checked, and we definitely deserve it and a bag of chips too!  I can double check it if you like...

I'll buy it, but not until I'm done with my new Skyrim fix.  I haven't missed playing any MMO since I got it.

STEAM is the best thing to happen to PC gaming in a long time?

What about those of us that live in areas where our ISP don't allow STEAM?

That's terrible, but it seems more like a "your ISP sucks" issue than a "Steam sucks issue."  It also sounds like a good place to start an ISP.  I smell a business opportunity.

MMO Companies - Take notice.  This is what your games are missing:

Huge world

Lots to do - not just a series of predictable quest hubs

A REAL sense of exploration

I've had more fun the last 2 days playing Skyrim than I've had in the last 2 years playing MMOs - That includes betas.  Seriously, Devs need to play this game and get a clue.  This is the foundation that MMOs should be built on.

I can understand that, no problem. But in future you shouldn't make threads about it in that case. It kinda upsets people for no good reason at all.

My tip is to only start threads about stuff you either have good knowledge about or to ask for such knowledge. Keeps the forum more interesting, :)

Kinda upsets people?  Are you serious?  How could any rational adult get upset because some stranger posted an opinion about a game looking a lot like WoW?

These forums are  all about opinion.  Don't limit your threads just because you might upset someone with a thought.  Believe me... they'll get over it 3 seconds after they walk away from their computer.

How about an MMO based on the tv show "Sliders"?  You could slide from one dimension to the next and it would allow for any and all possibilities for gameplay.  Anything from dinosaurs to magic to a world where Germany won the war would be possible content.  The sky would be the limit.

zombie games dont make good MMOS. they make good MMO hostile mobs thats it. reason being.. how do you get more zombies??  lets say for example everyone in north america is a zombie then magically 5 people (avarage MMO size grouping) comes along and after awhile wipes out every zombie in north america... what then?? zombies do not reproduce they feed/spread but if there is no one to spread to or feed on.. and 5 people wipe them all out??? where do more zombies come from?

they work as a mob only as there will always be an untapped grave yard or morgue or some isolated infected group turns ect..

dead island is an RPG thats it, it will not work as an MMO.. as once that island is devoid of living bad guys and zombies and anyone infected is dead... how will you get more zombies?

im kind of burned out of zombie games..

be it a slow shamble or a speed freak zombies are zombies.. brain dead... easy to trap and wipe out once its dead.. its dead..:/

Are you kidding? Where do all other MMO mobs come from?  They just appear.  Ever wipe out an entire dungeon or village only to find it completely repopulated in 5 minutes (same mobs just happen to be standing in the exact same spot as when you killed them last time)?

This isn't just an issue for a Zombie MMO.  It's an issue for all MMOs and the reason we have a lot of instancing now.

I don't like to say never, but it's extremely doubtful I'll purchase anything in the future from:

Square Enix - Absolutely the worst MMO purchase of my life -- FFIV.

Cryptic - Just when you think a company can't put out anything worse, they top themselves.

SOE - They put out good games and then gut them.  It boggles the mind, but there it is.

Before I'd ever purchase anything from one of these companies again, I'd need to see a tidal wave of good reviews and one hellova free trial to try it myself.  Come to think of it, this is quickly becoming a rule of thumb for all my future MMO purchases.  I guess I've been burned one time too many.

It's not the lack of players that make the game not worth playing... it's the lack of support.

I like them.  If yoiu're sick of them though, why not just not go see them?  There's plenty of other great flicks out now.  Rise of the Planet of the Apes was amazing! (for example)

This thread is just another "hate clone".  Where's all the innovation huh?  Why doesn't this thread rollerskate backwards on rocket powered hoverskates instead of just walking forwards bipedally like all those other threads?  It even uses the same font and typeface .. I mean come on that's soooooo 2003 hateration.

I'm bored with this type of thread, I want something new and exciting like I dunno, maybe dinosaurs with lasers!!1

Don't you mean "Frickin' Lasers" ?

There's a lot of things in this world to be offended by -- Huttball isn't one of them.  Sorry, but SWTOR is just a game, Star Wars isn't real, and if something isn't fun, you don't have to participate.

More to do in game = better in my book.  All work and no play makes force users boring anyway.

I'm all for realism... please note realism... not exaggerated perversion... unless it's an anime style mmo where perversion matches the atmosphere... in that case it is realism to the world/environment.

Denise Milani?  Dolly Parton?  They're out there and they're real.  I wonder what they'd look like as anime?  Scary....

Boobs, hair, wind, whatever.  I want my MMOs to be immersive and as real as it gets to suck me into the world.  Yeah.... bring on boob physics.

SWTOR.  Already preordered.  GW1 never did anything for me.  I doubt GW2 will be much different.
