The game is very good. I believe that when you have this much downtime though you can end up losing people. I had these past few days off with the intention to game and I haven't been able to play more than a couple hours. Unless its major, I think they should keep patches to once a week. In addition, I know that the Flashpoint missions were having issues and they did not announce that there was ever an issue but they fixed it on the DL, then people were confused by the patchnotes because they list very minor items, while the actual issies they fixed were major. |

I would like to get a key if I could. I have downloading the client the past day or so. Can't seem to enjoy other mmo's and Lineage 2 being the guilty pleasure of mine it is, I would like to check it out again. Kinda want to get a jump on GoD expansion, looks sick! Thanks |

LucasArts' Message to Star Wars Galaxies Fans
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 8/03/11 3:43:20 AM
even though I haven't played the game since SOE nerfed the crap out of it. I am still sad to hear SWG is shutting down. But Lucas Arts wants the new Star Wars MMO to be big, so there is nothing shocking about the timing of when it was shut down. I don't really think it had anything to do with the game making money or not. Its not like they did anything to sustain it. Just lef the servers on at night. One interesting thing is about this though, is that SOE loses the reputation of being one of the few gaming companies that didn't kill off their MMO's. With this shutdown they have oficially lost that. If EQ 2 or EQ 1 goes away, SOE is officially no longer an MMO company. Everyone knows that Vanguard is Tiny. |

Thoughts on whether or not GoD will bring people back...
Giran (General) « Lineage II 8/03/11 3:14:22 AM
Originally posted by Luminatti I really like Lineage 2, but haven't played for a while. But let me say this much. I have to agree with you on the GG part as well as the support issues and compatibility. Like I said, I don't play Lineage 2 right now, but what I didn't mention is, I tried to start playing again a little while back, but because of issues with the game running coupled with the inability of a GM to reset the password on the right accounts I just gave up. I mean, it was pretty bad. I gave him all the info and then he would reset a different one of my accounts, then say sorry, and then reset another account I had, but then not the other. Finally I just gave up, because I wanted all my accounts up if I was going to play again. When I have to spend several days to play a game, its just not worth it. |

Why does FFXIV have so many hits today?
General Discussion « Final Fantasy XIV 8/03/11 3:07:06 AM
Its actually an honest question. I don't know if its something with the weather or what, but when I checked the "most popular" tab today I saw that FFXIV was at the top, and then I was confused. As I remember this game was absolutely in a class of its own with being terrible. So whats the deal? Or is gaming becoming like Hip Hop these days, the worse it is the more popular it gets?
Thanks |

EQ 2 is one of the best MMO's of all time. I just figured I had to put it out there. In fact, with the state of all other MMO's out there right now and ever for that matter. I don't always play MMO's, but when I need my fix, EQ 2 hits ths spot! |

SO, who else quit DC universe because of sony?
General Discussion « DC Universe 5/04/11 2:32:51 PM
Not I. In the world of computers breaches happen. And much of the time the actual CC numbers aren't taken. So, to answer your question. This didnt effect my subscription with them at all. I have also had to deal with computer breaches in my own life. The good news is, is that Sony will have better security than the other companies now, and no one had their credit cards stolen. So you can say that their security is even better now, and they didn't end up having cards taken. I never think knee jerk reactions are a good thing. And I won't be blaming Sony for the breach, especially if they are taking action to ensure things are even more secure. I still feel safer having Sony having my CC # than the majority of other places that have it. |

Don't do it. The game is terrible on a very large scale. There are games that are not certain people's preference. Then there are games that have over 90 percent of their population vanish within the first month or so regardless of if its free or now. This is one of those games. |

Thats kinda pathetic to have a negative post about a game on launch day when its your debit card that is messed up and not the game. Seriously, I know its frustrating, but the reason your mad is because you cant play. Dont take it out on the game that made you excited in the first place. Also a tip, if your having issues with your debit card and you want a PC client, you can also use Steam, or D2D. I know I have never had any issues with my debit card on steam. I wish you the best of luck! |

I feel that Cata will be a major let down for me and others
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 12/27/10 2:18:15 PM
Lol! The new expansion is great. Not only is there more for high levels to do. But since the world has been re-created the experience of leveling up a new character is very different now and very fun. I have a levle 85 rogue and when I feel like mixing it up I will play my new goblin priest I made. Not only that, but I had some characters that were sitting at level 55 and level 70, and now they have some new content to explore, so it wont be the same as it was leveling my rogue up. There is no other game that takes this much care with managing their game and providing awesome content. WoW remains for me in a class of its own even though I do choose to play around with other MMOs for fun. There is just no comparing WoW with others. The fact that they have such interactive quests where you get to ride on dragons, run around in siege engines and wrangles drakes out of the sky, there is no comparison. That along with great cut scenes and interesting storylines, its a win win. I think sometimes people expect Blizzard to completely fullfill their life. Where Blizzard fails is actually when you should shut the computer off and go outside. They cant complete us as human beings, lol. But they can deliver us the most industry defining game in history. Enjoy Cata! I know I do. |

Is grouping better and more frequent since expansion?
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 12/27/10 2:12:43 PM
I find that there is definately more grouping in this expansion. Also of course, I am a rogue, so i do a lot of BGs, so I am constantly playing with other players. Also I enjoy how the new expansion smooshed alliance and horde together in a lot of zones so there is much more PvP in the normal world. I am enjoying every moment of it! |

I must say, the only thing that it seems FFXIV has done the best is create the best flame posts. I compltely agree that this game is the worst MMO of all time. This is coming from someone that bought the CE box for $85 the day of release. The great part however is, is that i have saved lots of money by not purchasing any more SE games. FFXIV was such a shockingly bad experience, it has completely killed my romance with SE. That doesn't mean that I can't still remember the days of FFVII that were brilliant. But SE is just a shell of what it used to be. RIP SE, September of 2010. I think Ill go wander around with Prinnies "dood" if i want any of my asian gaming fix, because the Chocobo's have Mad Cow. |

Finally the rise of Evil Gorrilas has been addressed. Lol, I thought the world had turned a blind eye to them. Thank goodness! |

Guild wars is its own special breed of MMO. They fill in the spots of the market that aren't taken. They beat F2P MMO's as players still have to pay to buy the initial game. However, they allow people to play either in a group or with friends. It also mixes a normal single player dungeon crawl game, with the ability to continually improve your character and not lose all your progress once you complete the game. I played the first Guild Wars before I forgot my account info to log back in a few years back. But I must say, I had tons of fun with the game. The ability to PvP in that game effectively without having to dedicate months to creating a level 85 character as I did in WoW for PvP was a nice change. I am hoping that guild wars 2 will allow me for that quick fix for PvP fun while i am not grinding out my honor points to properly equip my Rogue in WoW. All in all, I believe that Guild Wars 2 knows its purpose, and will do well because they aren't trying to be anything else other than what they are. |

Looking for a PC beta key. Send me a PM and I can see if we can work out a trade or something. I've played a lot of Sony games including being a GM for EQ. So I know what Sony is capable of, and I am hoping that this game will be the one that redefines them and brings them back to prominance again. Hence the reason why I thought it was a wise move to hold off on the launch of the game ot make sure that it was properly polished. Thanks in advance to anyone that can send me a PC beta key. |

World of Warcraft: Integrity Compromised
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/22/10 10:13:58 AM
The authenticator apps are free for iphone. So it doesn't cost you anything. I think it also may be for other companies as well. But seriously, this article gets front page? I think its fairly common knowledge that if you don't have an authenticator on your account. Don't just assume that it will be safe. Also, staged? Really? C'mon, your not that important that Blizzard is running conspiracies just to sqeak out $6.50 from your pocket. Chances are.... yea. It probably was your fault. |

Is FFXIV the biggest disappointment of the year for gaming?
General Discussion « Final Fantasy XIV 12/17/10 7:03:47 AM
Yes, FFXIV wins for the biggest dissapointment of 2010. In fact, it runs away with the honors in my opinion. |

My WoW account isn't active right now, but its not because I don't like the game. Its just that I get burnt out on a game and then i play something else for a while or nothing at all. That the good part about it though, that its just a game and the key for me, is if I am playing because I feel that I "have" to, thats no good. If Im not having fun I am not going to play. I think Blizzard makes brilliant games though. A game however cannot be a life, thats the problem. They are never going to be able to completely fullfill our every need. Lately I haven't been playing much of any PC games and have been mainly playing all the big titles that have come out on xbox 360, and before that I hadn't touched my 360 in several months and had only been using my computer. Do what you like to do, don't do what you don't want to do. Thats the beauty of it all. I even like to play some really crappy games from time to time as guilty pleasure, hehe. Take care. |
