I didn't like it much when I played this in alpha because there wasn't much freedom in the beginning of the game, you just got told what to do and the explanations wern't actually that good so the game was hard to understand, I ended up getting lost when I was supposed to be finding some NPC which I had no idea where he was!

Try Rakion, it's a good break from all the normal MMORPGs or try Flyff although I don't know if it takes more than 2gb or not.

Looking for a good MMO, non-fantasy

I would reccommend Voyage Century and Guild Wars too but you could try Pirates of the Burning Sea when it comes out. Voyage Century and Pirates of the Burning Sea are both sailing games like sea and pirates and that kind of stuff, it would make a nice change from blowing bees up!

It didn't last longer than 2 weeks on my computer, I didn't like 9Dragons much because something about it made me not like it, it's hard to explain what it is. But for most people this is worth a download and to try it out because it is free!

usually the really confusing ones make me dizzy

I agree with you lot, it's a bit boring but apparently things get more interesting as you get to high levels, not that I've gone far with the amount of grind, although they have cut down in the grind a teeny bit. Graphics are alright but I don't like the point and click and there is a lot of walking to do from mob areas and town once you get to higher levels but thank god to the quick running skill that lets you run at insane speeds.

Hello all I got this mail from Acclaim and thought some people may be interested Dear 9Dragons players, We are pleased to announce the start of pre open beta testing for all players! During this testing phase, there may still be some significant bugs, errors, and technical issues that leaked out as we patched the game to make it up-to-date. We could have delayed while we conducted internal testing of the latest patches, but this would only mean that you would wait longer. So instead, we decided to let you play now and help us look for any potential issues while enjoying the game. All closed beta characters have been wiped. With the start of pre open beta testing, all players will be creating new characters and starting from the very beginning. But after this, there will be no more character wipes! Our official open beta is scheduled for around mid-January when we will be patching in every last bit of content. But until then, we need you to help us test the game. As promised, 9Dragons will be free to play for all players, supported by in-game advertising and item purchasing. Advertising will be done with respect for the player, and we will not delay the gaming experience at all. We were careful to insert ads only in locations where there was already a natural pause in the game. We realize that this is the only way to make the game both free and enjoyable to our players without being too distracting. To play 9Dragons, you must first download and install the new open beta client available at http://9dragons.acclaim.com/downloads/9Dgame.htm. Please report any bugs and issues to the Report a Bug forum on the message boards at http://phpbb.acclaim.com/9dragons/viewforum.php?f=16. Thanks for your patience and help in testing 9Dragons! I'm not sure what you mean but I would try Silkroad Online's thief class, you get it after level 20 and simply you kill traders (another class) to steal their goods and sell it for money but you have to look out for hunters that protect the traders from you.

NOT funny, I couldn't stand one minute of this stupidness. Oh and by the way now you owe me 5 minutes of my life |
|
|
OR they could be hinting that since the dragons and the people from Jade Empire are in the same picture it means they are putting the two games together to form one big thing!! I know it's a ery stupid suggestion

Hey everyone, I just found this in the newspaper, interesting development in digital hair. What will this latest development in graphics mean for games and animated films? Does hair really affect the way we see things
Simulating galaxy-wide space battles? Not a problem. Showing dinosaurs rampaging through New york? Easy-oeasy. Recreating a Hoxton fin? Now, that's hard. For years, the challenge that has had the computer animators scratching their heads is creating realistic digital hair. "Simulating a mass of curls is one of the most complex problems out there." says Frederic Leroy, director of the physics department at L'Oreal's Advanced Research Laboratory, A typical head (Matt Lucas and Patrick Stewart aside) contains 120,000 to 150,000 strands of fuzzy, wispy straight or permed hair each moving independently when you move your head, takj ir sunoky stand in the wind. "Motion is the hardest part to simulate," says Leroy, "Up till now, computer models just haven't been able to render moving hair in a realistic, physical way." If you try to copy hair and get it wrong the results look terrible. The film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was the first computer-generated imagery movie that tried to show real people. Despite good skin colouring and smooth movements, it's digital characters made audiences uncomfortable and the movie flopped at the box office. It seems that while we like animated toys, robots and animals, digital people often just look weird - and much of our distaste is due to stiff, unnatural virtual haircuts. This is the problem that researchers at L'Oreal's laboratory set out to tackle and, after five years of pulling their hair out, they think they've cracked it. "We started by modelling the physical characteristics of a single strand of hair. Even with powerful computer and the latst algorithms, that took two years," says Leroy. "Then it took three years to integrate that fibre into a model of a head of hair. But we've now got a well-rendered and physically realistic description of hair." |

One thing to say, poor you

I agree with everything you said there, the game graphics were terrible! Movement was jerky and I hated the character control, there was so much lag I got so dizzy and it gave me a headache, there is nothing new about Dungeon Runners IMO it really sucks.

I never liked it when I tried, I have tried to come back but something about the game puts me off. It may be the dated graphics or the jerky movement/low frame rates.

Why is Ogame not on the game list?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/19/06 1:26:17 PM
I'm sorry but if Guild Wars is on the list why should "Ogame" be on it too? By the way you describe "Ogame" it sounds nothing like Guild Wars.

I'm sorry, you must be mistaken, AO's rating is only 8.1, the highest rated games are DAoC, Ryzom, EQII, GW: Nightfall, GW and Eve with 8.3 rating. And to answer your question in my opinion Anarchy Online sucked because it is a kind of old game so it doesn't run on my computer probably because the game is out of date.

It happened to me too, my rank seemed to drop like 20 overnight! What is going on!!

Sorry about the extra zero, it slipped in. I meant 1,000,000. WoW only has 7,000,000 or so subscriptions in total, they are so hogging the market to themselves! It's so selfish why can't they give other games a chance |
