Worst thing a curious person,looking for info about a game they may purchase,could do would be to make a choice based on these forums.

The majority of people who really like the game arent here posting,they are playing it.

The people who dont like it are here flaming,trolling and trying to convince others to feel like them.

But if the haters choice of games are so good why arent they there playing it? Seems they spend more time here flaming then playing their game of choice. Go figure.

So moral of the story --- Fanboi sites will have overwhelming positive reviews/opinions/etc.

                                            General forums like these will have more negative repsonses. Cuz the people that like said game are on the games site forums or are playing it.

Take every opinion with a grain of salt - esp the ones here. This site has more haters than most others, they flock here.

Really its simple math. The people who really enjoy the game are playing it and the haters are here posting. Thats why most of the posts are flames or trolls.

Been playing since beta, have yet to see a gold farmer,maybe your misinformed.

REALLY ?????????? Im not sure what your thinking. Its easily an hour+ wait after 7pm est time. Why the heck would you post telling more people to come and make the queue's even worse - just last night i had to wait 2 hour and 23 minutes to get on and that was at 11:30 pm est on a sunday night. ----  Your screenshot is from a slow night, i would love to wait 14 minuets. I think this post was fail, if anything its gonna make the queue's even worse- --- SMH Good Job

If that were actually true, there would be no issue. It's not true. Wait until you find yourself in a higher level zone with insufficient player population to defeat the invasion events. Unlike Silverwood or Freemarch, there are no areas where you can safely go quest and ignore the invasion. You will find the entire zone taken over, and there is nothing you can do about it besides log off. If you think I am making this up, don't take my word for it: keep playing. You will see.

I have seen it-- invasions dont last forever -- just go run some warfronts- you get good exp from that-- go craft--  or run some dungeons- you act like questing is the only thing to do- go do some open world pvp- cmon i have seen it in scarwood reach - that didnt mean there werent things to do to gain exp until the invasion was over - geez

when i open a rift solo it seems like it the rift is balanced to my character but later on loads of players saw a rift opened on their map and join in making it to easy so boring

your wrong, wait until you open a major rift 3-4 levels higher than you and the mobs rape you as they spawn. youll be wishing people were there to help :)

I hope the rewards improve for participating in the rifts. The starter area's really only offered one really nice reward as far as armor/weapons went. You did get a few things for crafting but I cant comment on how valuble they are as I never did crafting. 

I was under the impression that the "Rifts" would not spawn as much as they did in Beta, can anyone give me an answer on that?

Im kind of at a point where im not currently subscribed to a MMo and really wondering if I want to pay to play this for a few months.  I would just like to see the use of the rift events be less than they were in Beta, otherwise they will not seem that special. 

Your joking right ?? you seem very misinformed about the Rfits themselves..... You dont do rifts for the actual loot, you do them for the planarite and shards (currency). SOME of the best loot comes from buying stuff from planar merchants with the currency you earn from rifts/invasions. First zone alone you can get 3-4 blue weapons and armor and at least 1 purple armor also rare essences and sigils and warstone enhancements. Which will be better than most quest rewards/loot you will get in the first zones. And that fact carries on thru other zones.

Planar merchants sell awesome stuff and the their rewards teir up in each zone. Yeah theres pvp gear,dungeon loot,puzzle loot that are really good as well. Planar loot is a lil more easily attainable for folks who may not want to pvp grind or dungeon crawl.

RIFTS spawn based on zone population-- game just came out zones are packed,so lots of invasions and rifts are there too--when you go to the next higher level zone, the rifts and invasions dont happen as frequently. Also as you progress thru zones the Rifts and invasions change, so your not doing the same things for 30 levels.

At the high end game you do raid rifts which are for your raid only, others can help but they dont reap the rewards your raid wouldget and the rewards are some of the best in the game.

I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE PLAY A GAME CALLED RIFT BUT COMPLAIN BOUT  RIFTS  its kind of like playing need for speed and complaining about having to drive --  GO FIGURE.

Quests are only semi linear -- u can skip around quests and move on to the next quest hub or even the next zone (if your high enough level to live)- Quests hubs dont have to have all of their quests done to move to the next hub - once your high enough level you can pick and choose quests hubs you want to get quests from.

I did about 30% of the quests in one zone and moved to the next zone and started questing there, maybe a little to low level to quest efficently, but was still doable and reaped better rewards(exp and loot) since i was a little under level.

This game is one of the least linear games i have played in a while- if you make it that way-- there are so many different ways to progress (warfronts,invasions,rifts,quests). You can make it very linear or not very much at all.

Zones are level based sothat would probably be the most linear part of the game.

I never had a problem with fps in rift-- they drop a lil low when theres tons of people fighting around me-- but still smooth and playable---i think your pc just maybe a lil outdated--- other than that game is running smooth as butter

With my limited exp with Rift (couple toons to 25+), it seems they actually have a quality  PVE experience. Dungeons,quest lines,exploration are all there and seem to be well built and thought out. Rfits and invasions are not your typical PVE content but they seem to fit in well and give you an option from grinding quests and dungeons. The lore is there but seems a little on the lack luster side.

Overall im impressed with the PVE content i have experienced so far.

I preordered before beta, and since beta i will be keeping my preorder. Im not head over heels in love with the game- there are some things i like and some i dont , but over all i think the game will be fun. Theres alot of different ways to progress which will keep me busy for awhile.

 The biggest reason why i will be keeping my preorder is there just isnt much else left to play. Im one of those folks not really playing any mmo's atm the moment cuz i have played them all and have gotten a lil bored.

Rift will be a breath of fresh air at least for a lil while, i truly feel i will get my monies worth out of it but i dont think i will be playing it for years to come, like i did with EQ and others have done with  WOW.

 I think the game will be what you make it. My beta exp showed me a different approach/mindset to this game will make it fun so thats what i will do. I will make it fun and thats what it will be.

It will be hard to find any mmo that will capture you like your first did

The bugs and performance at release  are what did VG in .... i played thru them all but the world being so large and playerbase small because of  those issues made me feel alone in the game -- and you really needed groups  etc to do alot of the cool things in the game---- some of the quests and rewards were "to me " some of the best things about VG -- i really used to like some of the dungeon quests and arena area stuff and the crafting was top notch-- i miss VG i wish it wouldnt have had such a crappy release

Why do people always compare real life to a game ??? In real life would you even want to be under heavy live fire at all?  I mean if you want to compare a game to real life - once you die in game your done, there is no more playing it,you gotta buy a new copy,THERE IS NO RESPAWN IN REAL LIFE !!    Its a game not real life. Jumping doesnt seem so bad compared to that huh ?

lol 2 largest servers lol--- there are only 4---this game has been going downhill in a Ferrari--- population is not even close to what it used to be --- for the most part only the diehard fans are left,so of course they are going to tell you the game is good.

Majority of the game is dead --- t4 is the most populated which its supposed to be, but warhammer isnt bringing in alot of new players so most of the other teirs are dead unless people are leveling alts.

They had to dumb down the so called endgame content cuz the population just isnt there anymore to play the so called end game like it was supposed to be played. So they had to make it playable with half the amount of people it was supposed to be played with.

One good thing tho there was a patch awhile ago that really improved the performance of the game whem large numbers of people are around. Thats the one improvment i could think of

Waste of 15 bucks imo to just do a review. Soon as another big name mmo comes out that has a good pvp base to it, could mean the death of WAR. Cuz AION almost killed WAR but once people realized it sucked some came back,but it has never been the same.

SGW was horrible anyway-- none of you are missing anything--- maybe another company will pick it up and do it bettter

Guess you weren't around in the beginning or over the past year /shrug  or you would know how unpopulated it really is. From like 15 or so servers down to 3-4  and only T4 is populated - thats the little dedicated fanbase it has left that even keeps it on life support. I played from beta until octoberish 09.

The only reason it feels populated was cause of the dark crag merge. And considering it has 4 tiers and only t4 is active should tell you its not getting any new players--- so if they lose the few people that are left--- the life support plug will be oficially pulled.
