Does this mean you have to be 18+ to buy the game? Please say yes. |

Is there any data out there which estimates the average mmorpg players age? |

WOW. mature rating? Yes. Am I getting this game? Yes. I might try out war but I've had enough kiddy graphics if you catch my drift. |

If your a fan of diablo 2, enjoy being able to party or solo, love leveling, fighting 5-10+ mobs at once, finding uber loot, and killing bosses, then Dungeon Runners might be the game for you. Its free. There is only 3 classes-mage/hunter/warrior. Level cap is 100 Rich 3D graphics with dozens of instanced dungeons to explore. Tons of different items-blue/yellow/purple/mythic(rainbow) The game is simple and straight forward. Level and get loot. My addiction for diablo 2 was because of the loot. Wanting the best duel leech rings and sojs, then wanting Shako and GF,WF, ect. The game seems to draw the gamer with that motivation. In order to really "play" the game, there is a members fee which allows you to equipt the higher level loot as well as to use the storage(bank), and ingame voice chat. Monthly cost is 5 bucks. I have heard people say they didn't start paying the 5 bucks til they were level 50. If your interested, check it out here. http://www.dungeonrunners.com/ In my opinion, its a fun game everyone should try. Also they will be adding pvp. |

Vanguard: With an updated computer.

Let me just say that I played the open beta with 1 gig of ram and a radeon 300x graphics card and I was getting around 4-8 FPS. Lagging like crazy. I enjoyed some of the graphics and layout however. Since most MMO's are a hobby rather then a past time, I decided to upgrade my graphics card to a GeForce 7900 and put another gig of RAM.
After spending a couple hundred dollars, I said to myself, "the game better be 10x smoother now." As I logged into the character screen, I was extremely happy. Finally I could move around without ANY LAG. I made another new character and logged in-my new FPS was 25-50. I could actually PLAY. Before, I couldn't get past level 2 because the lag was so bad, now I actually got to lvl 7 and was loving the game.
Question to the people who hate the game so far. First, whats is your FPS-Frames Per Second? Do you lag a lot? If you say "no," then why in the WORLD would you say this game is horrible? I've played about 7 different characters in open beta and found each newbie zone unique and easy to venture forth from. (To find FPS you hold down Ctrl and then press P) Honestly before I upgraded my computer I blamed the game. I said to myself I'll just wait til they fix the servers but then I couldn't stand it anymore. Final note: I've played WoW since it came out-(3, 60s and a lot of lower levels)- Let me just say this game will be able to compete from what I've seen so far. Most people complain about the performance of the game-but now that I've played without any lag-it is amazing.
To the flamers: Chill out ok? I'm just giving my opinion from what I've experienced so far. To the people who havn't been in open beta-hopefully they'll smooth out the game to everyone who doesn't have 2 gigs of ram and a 300+ dollar graphics card because this game is going to make history as one of the best MMOs.

After downloading the beta version for 2 solid days (I even have cable), I finally got to see Vanguard and judge it for myself. First off, The graphics are amazing and when you create a character there are so many classes and options for how your character can look. Once you start playing, its very easy to get going. The only thing I had a problem with was the lag but DUH its beta 5 and they're working on bugs/lag ect. For me, after playing, I honestly think they aren't rushing the game because all that needs to be fixed is what beta 5 is working on right now. Once the game is smooth and I can easily wonder around Its definately a game worth investing in. Now finally, take what I say with a grain of salt since I've only been playing for a few minutes but so far I'm very pleased.

Stupid Question about Open Beta
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 1/06/07 12:20:47 AM
Lets say you make a character in open beta, will the name and the character be saved for the final release date? What about if you level him, will that be saved or everything will be deleted.
