I did a little Googling to learn whether there's any restriction on the genders involved in a marriage. The answer: no. Win!
Edit: Or I could have watched the video... |

I too have noticed this. |

"It's just another Sandbox game many of you can't agree on or show any support for." This. Sandbox games are an endangered species because the very people who should be interested in them are turning their noses up every time they have a quibble. |

@Gamerlamer: If GW2 satisfies you, you're obviously not part of Dawntide's intended audience anyway. |

Ryzom has a system very similar to what SWG had. |

"EVE's design and quality have always been the best" Yeah right.
"Everyone likes Nexon" Uh-huh.
Why is there no link to the original press release, by the way? |

Aion: Empyrean Calling Officially Launched
News Discussion « General Discussion 5/26/11 6:48:16 AM
I dislike what they've done to the character customization options. Midgets were bad enough, but this... Having "realistic"-looking characters and manga-like characters in the same world? The ability to make your character look like a small child? As an immersionist, I will never play Aion again and I will never recommend it (except to those probably-pedophiles who ask for playable child characters in other games' forums). |

That's simply not true. Occupations (big update right there), new major live events, lots of "little" features added and fixes done (including a couple of small graphical improvements), a new homin boss, the PvP tagging system has been expanded, you can now alter your apartment's furnishings/decor and invite other players into it, players can now create custom chat channels, etc... |

The change to "SyFy" was, in the eyes of a science-fiction fan such as myself, a welcome and somewhat overdue acknowledgment that the channel's focus is in fact wrestling, reality TV, and fantasy B-movies. |

You forgot Ryzom. As for Istaria, there is a lot of breadth in that system but it has the depth of a pancake and the fun factor of drying paint by holding up a big, bulky, heavy industrial fan in front of it for hours and hours and hours. |

Ships in EVE absolutely do have crews. This has been confirmed in the novels, in Chronicles, etc. Even though the pod pilot controls things, such as when weapons fire is initiated, what is targeted, and where the ship goes, a crew is needed to maintain everything. They load ammunition, move cargo, monitor small details that the pilot need not concern themselves with, etc. |

General: Gameforge to Publish New Free to Play Star Trek MMO
News Discussion « General Discussion 6/14/10 5:21:38 PM
At least it's browser-based and not 3D. Gameforge knows browser games but is not qualified to run 3D games, much less create them, judging by their stint at running Ryzom (into the ground). |

Small correction, but it is one way to point out the fact that Ryzom is science-fantasy rather than simple fantasy: |

The Talrok looks good. Like a Daevi (from TCoS), an Orc, and a Blood Elf bred. |

General: Playable Alpha for "Love" MMOG Available
News Discussion « General Discussion 10/01/09 9:16:06 PM
I've been watching Love and will probably play the alpha. Mr. Steenberg's request for a small donation is perfectly reasonable when considered in context. |
