How many will play Ryzom if they launch a fresh server?

Never got the pleasure of trying it first time round. Definately plan to check it out this time! |

In exactly the same boat as the OP. Yes i've moved on and am happily playing other things but no where near as devoted as I was to SWG. I would log on religiously every day and have fun even if I was just sat in a cantina with my guild mates doing nothing at all, it was something to me and thats living MY Star Wars saga. I too sub for a month now and then and just take a look to see what things are like and as soon as i step out of my Large Tatooine House, I just want to step back in again and log out. Even if there is something in there which i haven't discovered I have no urge to go and discover it as I can't do it the way I used to and the way I loved I have to do it with a horrible cross hair in the centre of my screen making me play differently, looking like everyone else who shares my "profession" with the same skills and same gear. What pisses me off even more is the 50/50 GUI. In some windows theres my old "Rebel Flight Suits" original SWG GUI teasing me, reminding me... but the main UI and some other windows have this horrible silver...shitty (for lack of a better word) UI, just sat there reminding me that the old one has in fact gone. My empty friends list, dead guild chat, empty mailbox (apart from maintinance mails)... I dont want to be there. So i just walk right back into my Large Tatooine House and log off once again and hit the cancel button once again. *sigh* |

Entropia Universe - As it is along the same lines as Second Life which you've included; open world, complete customisation, real world economics etc etc. |

To answer the OP, MEO became LOTRO when Turbine took over the project from Vivendi.
Sorry just thought i'd drop that one in! |

Didn't MxO have a similar system if i'm grasping the idea right? Back before SOE got the game, there was a big Events Team of devs that logged on as the main movie characters and there was scenarios and story events which the players were able to play out along side or against the move characters who were controlled by the events team. Of course most of this is long gone now, but im sure it's the same sort of idea, no? |

Just as a sidetrack, anyone know why exactly I was sent a 10 day trial of TBC through my door?! I left WoW over a year ago after only playing for a few months anyway, got extremely bored and carried on with the other MMO's i was happily playing at that time. I have never expressed any interest in their failure of an "expansion". They really must be trying to push it on people, what might that say about their sub numbers? |

Ahh, here's to my memories on Ahazi, and all those people that made it truely amazing! *sniff* Twin Suns, you may still be around but I miss you how you used to be. Bustling with players, a filled cantina, lively guild chat. Now it's like playing alone in a ghost town, seeing only 10 or 12 people online on the whole server. Here's to all those people! *clink* |

back to EQ2 from WoW: a pleasant surprise
The Tavern (General) « Everquest II 1/04/07 6:37:30 AM
Also agree. I like WoW but can only spend a few months playing before i get bored. It just doesnt have the diversity that EQ2 has. I have reactivated my WoW account 3 or 4 times andplayed for 1 or 2 months then gotten bored fairly easily, but EQ2 kept me a lot longer and the only reason my account expired there was cos I maxed out my credit card (lol!) Now im back after about 5 months and i'm straight back into the swing of things! Great stuff! |

Petition for a few PRE-NGE Servers (Read)
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 1/04/07 6:30:24 AM
Ugh this has been and done ages ago so many times. Petitions had no effect back when the NGE was first released and they still don't now. People that dont like NGE have either given up and gone to play someting else or tried to adapt to the new system. At the moment SWG is reaching a new peak. Updates and bug fixes are now frequent and actually useful, people are being listened to more and support levels are increasing. No it won't bring the greatness of the skill trees / points and the player diversity back but this is how it is now like it or not. This IS SWG, pre NGE no longer exists and will not exist live on servers again. As hard as it was to see it go, it has, get over it. /burn petition |
