A lot of the retailers don't send out seperate head start keys, for those saying they haven't received their key. I pre-ordered from play.com and received a "Pre Order Key" which included Beta access, Head Start access and my perks for ordering from play.com. Agree with most opinions here though, it is clearly stated that different retailers have different perks for ordering through them. Head Start access is not a given with ALL pre-orders. Most people tend to READ what they are buying first, so that they know what they are buying and what to expect / not expect. Simples! Hardly Cryptics "screw up" as stated in the thread title! |

Good luck, let us know if you have any more problems but once you've created your account you should be good to play for the rest of today until it ends. The next beta event schedule is a few posts above so hopefully you should be all set for that one. |

It is telling you incorrect username and password because you have not yet created one... And no the servers are not down. This weekends beta event ends today (3rd August) at 8pm UK time. |

So, forget "Potential", Who will actually manage to launch a playable game by end of year 2010?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 7/29/09 12:53:06 PM
Aion and Chapions Online i'd say. Not sure if SWTOR will be 2010 to be honest but IF it was, that too! |

I must admit, I loved playing in the beta for MxO. The combat system was different and refreshing to watch, and the abilities and skills very interesting. I remember Super Jumping around the entire Mega City. Class swapping was also very well implemented, being able to just plug in and out new skills at will just by heading to a hardline. The game just went downhill when Monolith / WB dropped it and passed it to SOE. This isn't an anti SOE bash though, as it was in decline a bit before. All the events once the game went live, leading up to Morpheus' death were great. After that, it seemed the team lost interest. With each patch new features were few and far between and the updates just consisted of bug fixes and an extra story arc video to watch, and even these were half-arsed with most of it changing to animated at opposed to ingame movies. I cancelled my sub shortly after it was handed over to SOE, but if the game would go back to how it was at the end of beta / start of launch then i'd resub for sure. |

In a game thats purely at internal alpha stage, with all the post graphics effects missing, I think it's looking quite attractive in my opinion. That was not a video of "here is our completed game", that was a video showcasing the voice acting in the game. Take a look at, for example, some of the AoC alpha videos. Broken visuals and no post processing effects at all, just basic textures (and granted, they are quite nice textures) but still, the game turned out 20 times more attractive than it's alpha videos, so why is it different for SWTOR and assumed these are the final visual look of the game? Either way, I'm still not put off. The only thing i'm still a little bothered about is the proportions. Saber hilts still seem a little large, or maybe its just the fact that the hands are massive in comparison to the heads? Shoulders seem much too broad, especially on the smuggler they've showcased. |

Is it really? funny how I just keep going from enemy to enemy, without slowing down or having to wait my turn. Seriously, do you guys ever open the options menu in games? KotOR is not turn-based, you simply have the "pause action" option turned on, which still doesn't make it turn-based it just makes it simple for n00b players.
Turn based is not determined by if there are "pauses" for you to make choices. So that point is totally irrelevant. KOTOR, however, IS 100% turn based. Behind the scenes a dice is rolled, attacks are timed, you and you opponent take turns attacking even if there is no pause, it's just all number crunched behind the scenes. The combat system is even described in the game as turn based, complete with dice rolls etc. |

The learning curve isn't that steep at all. A comprehensive tutorial pretty much covers the first few levels and eases you into the main game nicely. As for timing, now is as good as ever, if not better! There are still newer players joining due to Moria's release, plus the 2 year anniversary offer is a good deal and is bound to attract a few more players. Plus, with alt rolling so popular in LOTRO, there's still a nice spread of levels thoughout the game. I'm on the EU servers, so I can't speak on behalf of the US servers but all of the EU seems pretty populated and busy. I've been playing since launch and never had any issues finding groups but now is even easier when I roll a new alt.
Good luck! I'm sure you won't be disappointed! |

550 Watt Power Supply enough for my Quad system?
Hardware « General Discussion 3/14/09 3:43:54 PM
I had problems with a similar system and a 500w power supply, which is why i've now gone to a 800w power supply.
I'd probably recommend going a little higher? Try taking a look at www.aria.co.uk, can pick up a bargain there! |

Pre-CU SWG. Pre-CU SWG. Pre-CU SWG.
Oh and Pre-CU SWG. Nothing will beat it, ever. Even if they reverted everything back, wouldnt be the same without other people actually playing it as well. *sigh* |

More kittens please.
Seriously, I had to vote more kittens purely because you left "Once the game is finished" or "Once the game breaking bugs are fixed" from the poll. Kittens would be a start though... |

Well im in the UK and i managed to get a key and register it with Mythic perfectly fine. So if this was US only does that mean I'll need to download the US client and scrap my EU download with the WAR OB Downloader? If not and i've wasted a key I'm sorry |

Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: 7,000 More Beta Keys!

Please tell me these are Euro (although i doubt it)
I have the EU client and this is the only key I have so im hoping it's an EU one |
|
|
My apologies for this seemingly stupid question, but I have just grabbed an OB key from the givaway on here, through fileplanet, yet I have the EU client downloaded. Am I right to assume that my key and account with Mythic with this OB key will not work with my EU OB client? Or by some stroke of luck will I be good to be on Sunday (fingers crossed!)
Had I planned this better I would have sorted my key out much earlier but I have only just got this sudden rush to give WAR a go (at 11:55pm on Saturday 6th September...lol) Cheers! |

Hear hear! Whilst understanding the few (and only a very small few) flaws that LOTRO has or could be improved on, I too am very content with the game and will be for a while to come. I have not had a continued subscription to another game before LOTRO since SWG was alive and kicking between 2003 and 2005. All other MMO's i've played have only been on and off and not lasted half as long. Good for you! And good for me too! |
