looks like those everything-is-peachy and positive-spin-on-everything press release writers never get a break.  I'm pretty sure that they were inundated with positive feedback and player love during this crisis.  

What would you have rather they said? You are a bunch of tossers and most of you exploited this crap, but here have this free item pack to shut you up? No company is going to say that. Just like Starbucks will apologise for the quality of your coffee if you complain and thank you for your feedback, even though its clear that you are just a twat.

Just saw the first reward pack they are giving out as an apology, and it includes the cape of catastrophe. At least they can laugh at themselves. XP boosts too, which is nice since I lost about 6 levels on my cleric.

Well I don't really see the point in trying to force a game on someone. Based on the OP its just never going to happen, so don't force it. Find something that has that initial appeal.

Someone could sit down and point out all the great features of EVE, but I will never play it because I hate sci-fi. Gotta go with your gut with these things.

Actually your credit card service or PayPal may punish you.  PWE isn't the only one that loses money when you do a chargeback.

Like they said, charging back without first giving reasonable opportunity for the company to resolve the issue is fraudulent and an abuse of process. Chargeback is for when the company refuses to voluntarily refund a purchase when warranted.

Chargebacks cause unnecessary costs for credit companies and the supplier, which neither are particularly appreciative of.

So I decided to download NW today and give it a spin.  Since the game is a F2P title I figured it couldn't hurt right?  I really didn't follow the game in development so I came into the game pretty blind.  My question is this:  what exactly is the draw to this game?  The foundry is a cool idea but I honestly can't get past the aweful graphics, character movement/models, and point and click combat.  Now, the combat may have a bit more depth than what I saw but the character animations and overall graphics of the game really made me feel like I was playing a game from 2006.  Did I miss something about this title that should draw me in other than players doing the devs work for them?

WoW beat EQ2 because EQ2 was terrible at launch, and most peoples computers couldn't handle it (hell, it still runs bad thanks to poor design choices, putting everything on the processor). WoW on the other hand was optimised for mid to low end computers and was in a much better state than EQ2.

EQ2 was also a fairly brutal game at launch. You couldn't level past 15 without a group, which deterred a lot of casuals. And there was a harsh death penalty (corpse runs and heavy XP loss).

The game has come a long way since launch, but it wasn't really a great game until just before the Desert of Flames launched.

Tell the people at blizz that, it was in fact the removal of meaningful OW PVP that cost blizz many subs. OW PvP in Vanilla WoW was some of the best OW PvP in any game.

The 10 million subs they had during the Burning Crusade must have forgotten to mention it to them.

To be honest you dont need anything from the store, but those 3 things I listed are the best purchases.The lockboxes usually payout way more than you spend as well.

I also know there are people in Korea trying to get in touch with the Korean news trying to report the problems with NCsoft.

I got people working on forcing ncsoft to repopen City of heroes. however calling time is impossible monday - friday only is a No No. I am working. its againt rules and regulaions to use work phone for my home use. and not allowed to use cellular phone. not allowed to use lunch time to use the phone. yes i am having a hard time trying to work this problem out

I do not want a new version of City of Heroes becuase i do not wish to start all over from scratch.

Iwant to contune where I left off. I do not want to bump 7 years  of game saves.
