Correct.  The game isnt for you if you enjoyed sitting around a campfire and throwing emotes, because the emote bucket isn't as great, but then, as for roles, DF has as much role-play depth as any other mmo.

Sounds to me like your planning to play Aion anyway and that CO would have just been a filler and a wasted purchase for you, plus I thought ppl could already get their hands on Aion, so long as they are ok with playing a different version.

 

Yes, will be playing aion, but does not change the fact CO would have been great to get started on.. As far as a waste of time and money, no 2 months +  for 50 bucks is great a waste of money is the dinner me and wife got, i ordered a small pizza from there and wife got chicken, they put this weird cheese on it and hers had a very funny tasting  sauce, tasted nasty, but that was the way it was made.. then get a bill for $49.00 plus tip. now that was wasted.

What is taking this game so long to open up for the west ?  don't give me that crap about getting the language right , that would take 20 people a month to get it done. i think more then likly they are finished and just don't care how long it takes to open up in the west. i would almost guess we don't see this untul next year and the rest have the first expansion out .Then we may get our shot..

Where are those posters? They couldn't admit that they were wrong? That is a valid idea for 99% of games, but much like what they pride themself on Darkfall is again in the 1% here. The game took 8 years to launch, will take another 2 years to fully launch (not the limited crap, and including the US release in that 2 year marker) i would doubt anyone would see a "Trial" for this game before 2013ish.

In all, I think that Darkfall needs to work on some sort of digital distribution to ease people playing. Then after that, if there is a problem, fess up to it. They need to get their reviewers to stop using paid review time as a good time to smoke pot. And start actually reviewing. I also knoticed some of the images used in the review look suspiciously like images publically available or available on other sites. They need to check this, becuase if their reviewer is plagarizing without even a slight "image taken from" or "Cropped image from". Then they are liable for that image. I've done reviews for quite a while myself freelance. I spend no less than 1-2 weeks for the review, and plan on a minimum of 12 hours of gameplay time and 12 hours of writing time. With 8 hours spread incase of needing a re-write or re-play.

 

Once I can find this game, I'm going to do a comprehensive review. And we will see how much of the eurogamer review is right, and how much of the overhype is right. Which I'll try not to get on all the overhype reviews right now. IF someone can tell me exactly how to find a retail box or digital download, please mail me on mmorpg.com.

This is all based on if Tasos is telling the truth, from what i have seen he lies alot. so i will guess that EG really hated the game and gave a little worse review, but played it longer .
