haha excuse the pun but WOW is all I have to say, well that and wth who takes a game that sieriopusly good god. I am a adict of MMORPG's yes but I do get burnt out on them aswell and useually end up quitting and finding a new one or one i havent plaied in awhile. and ppl killing themselves because they think it will let them live in a game....who the hell are these morrons and why are they so foolish. Listen I can still discern fiction(ingame world) from reality and the moment that someone thinks that the game they play is based in anyway off of anykind of reality whatso ever is the point when mabie they need to be educated. holy crap ppl I hope that none of you would be foolish enuff to belive that when you die you become someones charictor. c'mon here are we gamers or total morons. I'm a bit stunned and a slight bit outraged by that video the fact of hearing that ppl kill themselves over a game...thats like when this one kid killed himself because his charictor in some MMORPG died he left a note saying and i quote " My best friend has died ..i failed him I was to guide him and he is dead I must join him in heaven now so I can fufill my duty" ok ....excuse me for this but WHAT THE HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS SANE. lol Stuff like this will make us gamers who enjoy our games and actually know the difference of things look bad just like anything if one person does it it makes all others become judged the same. anyhow ...wow..just holy crap wow thats retarted. just my opinion lol whats yours? |

Hey all I'm haveing one of those MMORPG ordeals lol you know jumping back and fourth like a hundred times between 3 or 4 old one I used to play but yet cant seem to get back into them fully. I'd just like some sugjestions on what newer or mabie a few unique MMORPG's you think I should check into. I'm a casual player I do like my big adventures and raids but some days i like to just kick back and have fun. I also enjoy a good comunity with friendly, fun, helpfull ppl (atleast most of them haha). So if your playing a MMORPG you think would be good for a person who plays all the time and enjoys a friendly comunity. as a player whos both relaxed and yet can be sierious when needed to be (aswell as a huge RP person). I'm haveing some trouble decideing what games might be fun to try out. anything that may have a free trail would be helpfull so I can check it out first hand. Just let me know please any sugjestion will help, give me some details on why you enjoy playing it and some of the things you think might interest me and I'll check them out thanks to all

Well as far as I can say be it on console or pc/mac doesnt matter as long as its a good game. on a sid enote i noticed you mentioned EQ online Adventures and asked if it was still around...um yeah they made a expansion but since the ps2 is dead basicly and the next gen has been usherd in well it might die out but not its fault hell if it wasnt for that game being on the ps2 console I'd have never started playing MMORPG's I didnt have a good comp at that time and didnt know what a MMORPG really was. its all about personal preference some like them on console's simply because theres less lag less chance your system will crash or be hacked and of course load times deminish a bit. Also um if you have to play WoW or any other MMORPG by rideing thottbot the whole way( mind you it is a helpfull service, well you suck. MMORPG's are ment to be an adventure where you discover things not follow step by step what someone tells you its like why read the book then go see the film right after. you know the story so wheres the fun. Now go ahead and whine because I badmouthed your reading thottnbot like a players guide. I have used them in the past but with MMORPG's ...well thats why theres other players ....they are suposed to help you with answers if they dont perhaps the comunity of that game isnt the greatest, and if so then by all means crutch yourself to the top. Why do I say "Crutch yourself to the top"? well its simple when your in the middle of doing something say like a raid or quest and you have to stop every 2 mins to read a page...um yeah that is a bit troubleing takes up time. So to end I would play it on either pc/mac or on my console because either way as long as its as good as they are saying it will be then its fine with me. |

ok on the note of ppl saying wow sux let me rant just a little about that lol and yes this will be entertaining so sit back and laugh if you feel the need......
well EVE and EQ2 and games like them have been around for awhile now and yet the one thing I can say is yes WoW does get reptative and sometimes boreing and frustrateing this is true. However blizzard has hit on the idea of makeing the game simple but not to easy or hard to play. I've seen 13 year olds learn WoW faster then they could pong lol. I like the fact that theres no xp debt, other MMORPG's have some sort of xp debt which gets so frustrateing it could kill you. I mean xp debt sux concidering when in a pvp server you kill some stuff, finish a quest, go kill more, lvl up. Then it starts, you sitting there trying to get a grp together and decide you need a bathroom break so you go do that well while your there(basicly your charictor is afk or also takieng this break with you)some jerk wad comes along and decides to bash the door in on ya like hes the terminator looking for john connor, then proceedes to kick you around like hes Jet Li in an action movie. You come back to find you little friend laying on the ground like he had a hernia and died and your left confused but now you get mad cause you have a debt to pay off before you lvl again. So you go repair your armor and head back out, you start getting the debt paid when suddenly he shows up again and whacks you updside the head with a stick because he thinks its hillarious to see you do a faceplant into a tightly coiled pile of dog crap then proceedes like the school bully to laugh in your face causeing you to loose your cool and wish that you could grab him through the computer and bash his head on his keyboard. So you make a goal to get high enuff lvl to smack him around but when you finnaly do you feel better but now your bored and your life goal at that point is finished. I love MMORPG's in general but wow seems to have a better thing because they give you a choice and dont punish you for getting whacked around. other games make you feel like dirt when this guy who thinks he rules cause he can kill you so easily (note: he is high lvl and your still getting to lvl 20) and is totaly unfair. so to conclude yes other MMORPG's might be better its all in personal preference of how you like to play and what you like. So instead of bashing one game cause you play another and dont like the one well so what thats your opinion everyone has one and none are always the same. Pick a game play it if ya like it then there ya go stop running around trying to suck up to the game you play by bashing one. its anoying pointless and...well come on its a waste of time. well.....unless you can make it so dam hillarious that ppl read it and wet themselves. which is always fun. so as i said everyone is different and play different so just stick with what ya know.  |

ok I have been playing for 2 years in that thing and its anoying I get bored fast and the LL folks dont care about the players much they just want more ppl like some social club. its insane yes theres porn altho i do question who really wakes up in the mourning and says" gee I really wanna spend my time today makeing a detailed sexual part for someone. Look I dont know about everyone else but i dont wanna spend my time doin that haha. also I dont think they will last out thi year they may have alot of players but 70% of those moved to the free accounts so they are looseing money but dont seem to care much. constant lag server shutdowns like 4 times a day. my account is up in april and I may not resume it and just stick with my other MMO's that I love much more.
Of course I neer fully understood Second Life I do kinda wish someone would make a better game of the same style but with less of the freeloaders. anyway just my two cents there. the sex thing and porn dont get me started I think every fetish is drawn out in SL lol. They even had that scandal where they found ppl doing child porn in SL I mean come on they responded yes but not till after it became public. Before that it had been around there for abotu 6 months and everyone knew it. I guess the point would be if you look in SL you will find out just how gullable and truely messed up some ppl really are. anyhow if ya agree with me cool if not eh make your own assumptions I guess everyones entitled to. so after april unless conviced(by changes) otherwise then my accoutns goin bye bye  And yes I know every MMO always brings in the ppl you love to hate lol but this one....its MADE of them.  |
