They need to give FOF missiles their own launcher so Caldari don't not only have all the ECM useful ships, but ALSO the only offensive ECM counter.

How did "gank" not make this list at all? I don't think ten people could even agree on it's actual meaning now it's been so misused for so long. |

Eight starting classes, two named: Jedi Knight, Sith!

Well it's clear they're using the companion characters to help with the balance issues surrounding force characters. Maybe non-force characters get more companions. If non force characters can hire out an army against a force character it would be cool to watch and possible help balance out the pvp aspects some. You have enough companions to fight a single jedi with his companion that's already pissed off at him I'm sure you'll make him back off. |

This is a forum troll's wet dream. You get a free trip international, then you get to meet someone that DESIGNED a game with thousands of paying customers, and then tell them they are doing something WRONG. They never THANK you for your time and fly you home.

Star Wars Galaxies: June 5th: Demolition Day

There are more than enough people with station pass acounts that you won't see too many full demolitions.
The better question will be how much will be broken after they start this. Can't wait to see people screaming about how someone blew up the town hall but they are still a resident. Maybe they forget to remove the lots use from the player after demo and people return to the permanent 5 used lots to nowhere. I remember they bugged that up before. |

If it's a new IP, the better question is what genre will they conquer next?

I wish the reviews had used another gaming mouse as a comparision besides to MX518. The main competitors to the G5 are the Razer Copperhead, Microsoft Habu, and the Ideazon Reaper.
Considering the Reaper can be found for cheaper than the MX518 it would have been a better comparison to make. Just to note I use a Habu myself and considering it's cheaper than the G5 it's a better buy. |

I mean really, what is there to post about? Do we need more, "I need an MMO game because I'm too lazy to look at the left hand side of the window myself." posts?
Personally if there was more industry and community conversation rather than, "I have no money but I'm OWED entertainment" posts there might be more to post on. |

How to turn an immature community into a more mature one?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/20/07 4:12:29 PM
I found FFXI one of the most mature communities ever. Most of that came from how much an impact poor behavior could obstruct you from the required groups, and all but stop your leveling. You would be hard pressed to find immature player above level 30 unless they had real life friends playing with them. That community came with the cost that you also had to schedule your playtime for the grouping to work and the level of responsibility you had with your group partners would in most cases remove the fun from the game experience. |

I was discussing games like Planetside with the credits system and games like BF2142 with unlocks and thinking to myself how it's possibly the most balanced leveling system availible. Instead of giving the character more Health or raw power each level you give them credits to use certain powerups and abilities.
The main reason for increased health and power has typicly been for player to monster balance at higher levels. But making something hit you harder at a higher level is a what's stagnating the market. just making a monster than hit the same but could better catchup to you or do more to trap and overwhelm you with the same damage hit that it did at level 1. I remember the threat for the longest time in Asheron's call was when you had to run the monster snapped onto you while you ran and kept on hitting. You could still have weapons that are crafted to adjust base variables like total damge hit rate or accuracy so crafting would have a place. So why isn't this concept more accepted? Is it that they would have to make better IA and that's to much work or because players really don't want balance in reality? |

How to turn an immature community into a more mature one?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/20/07 1:14:15 PM
It's unrealistic to call for maturity is a GAME. Most people play games when they DON'T have to feel responsible for their time or others people's time. The best ways to reduce immature players in a game are already in place and used by many players.
1. Find mature friends. There are enough call for maturity threads posted that if you can't find that other person that wants a more mature experience then it's probably YOU that's being immature. Now you might still have to encounter players you deem immature but you're friends will be a protective shell for the most part. 2. Join a guild with common ideals. Guild mean numbers and can isolated themselves enough to avoid other users all together. 3. Play a different game. You see the list on the left hand side of the window and how long it is? That should give you an idea there are MANY options to switch to if the community of the game your trying to play is failing you. 4. You might not really need an MMO. I personally don't like PVP in MMO if I want to play PVP I'll load up BF2142 or any game for my quick fix. Most the time you really don't care to know the person you're playing against and certainly if someone's ruining your fun you can leave and no harm is done. Also death in worse case is a 10 second timer rather than someone undoing potiential hours of work you've done prior when you didn't have much time to play to begin with. |
