i'm looking for an MMORPG with a good RP community. it has to be free or have a free trial. i'm currently trying EQ2 but there aren't any active RP guilds on antonia bayle :(

edit: we are now recruiting all destruction races: orcs, goblins, chaos and dark elves (which won't be added to the game for a while i think)

We are currently recruiting these races: Orcs and Goblins of any career.
here are the requirments/rules
1. People of any age (i'm 13).
2. No racism or disrespect to other cultures.
3. No insulting your fellow regiment members.
4. No ninja looting (if somebody needs a piece of equipment, let them role for it).
5. No disrespect to the ways of other people, whether they are gay (i'm sorry for discussing this on these forums but i'm trying to say a guild rule)
or somthing else.
edit: 6th rule: no ninja looting! items will be rolled for. if 1 or more people need it, only they will roll

other info on the regiment:
server: U.S. roleplay
events: as far as i know, raiding contested zones
regiment slogan: We will crush all who fight us! We be da Irontusk Raiders! 
Note: we are very small as we just started out and hope to make the best of the guild. so far i have 1 other member who will be recruiting and spreading the word of the guild.

Star Wars Galaxies.  It's basically two games in one as you have the ground game and the space game.  The space game is completely twitch based and a joystick is highly recommended, although you can use a mouse if you like.  Your ship is completely customisable whether it's a TIE fighter or a YT-1300 as you can swap out any component in the ship with new and better ones as you find them.  Most of your components will come from Shipwrights (player crafters) on the ground, but if you put some time in you can spend time looting a set of components in space with complimenting stats that can be combined by a Shipwright to make some really great components.

There is a free trial available at www.tryswg.com.  You'll be able to play the game as if you were subscribed, so you should get an idea of if it's for you :)

It does, joystick control is optional.

And I'd have to say, there are about 4 people that keep Vendetta from becoming a successful game, just due to their elitism, snobbery and holier than you attitude. I bet one of the people that was being an ass was Dr. Lecter, I hate that guy.

Yeah, I played but didn't really talk to anyone.

I heard it's just a couple of long term players who have suber uber stuff and smash and ridicule anyone who tries to play.

If you're looking for a free Space MMO, then you're SoL unless you like Starport or Hostile Space.
