my favourite place has to be the desert closely followed by zoira homeland. The desert just feels like home. Not a big fan of tryker I try to go there as little as possible.

Yeah this game is the longest to login out of any game I have played, but no biggy it sure is worth it hehe

When I first started playing ryzom all I was interested in was offensive magic, so thats all I pretty much did. Sure I picked up a few heal levels here and there on the way but my main focus was off magic. My friends and guild helped me out with equipment at later levels and I went all the way to 250.

Now that I had magic set I wanted to set myself a new goal. I played around with diggin and crafting but wasn't feeling it so much. I decided to max my melee and gain those extra HP points. I mostly leveled in light armour, I had less protection but a higher dodge factor. This also enabled me to easily switch between melee and magic.

All gear has Pros and Cons it's your choice how you mix these combinations to get a style of play that suits you. Ryzom is about setting yourself a goal and then achieving it, what that goal might be is entirely up to you.

You could aim to have the best PVP character and Gear.

Maybe you'd like to be the best crafter and make the most player wanted gear.

Maybe you just want to make some friends you can hang out in thesos bar with and for a chat.

Or even run from one side of the map to the other wearing just your pants!

Its totally up to you.

I just don't even think about jumping in this game, I don't feel the need to. Jumped around like a clown in other MMO's though hehe

I'm glad to see it move up in the rankings, hopefully it will continue to move up to show some face on the front page. It's nice to see a lot of the new players having positive comments

I love the fact that this game is not classed based as mentioned in the previous post.

I love the fact that I gain experience from doing a particular activity rather than some crumby quest.

And Ocyx too... they are cool

Ryzom is a complex game, there is a lot to explore and see in all aspects of the game. Most of which are not obvious when you innitially start playing. This is one of the things that keeps me so interested in ryzom.

I remember seeing it in stores, but I actually found ryzom over on File Shack. I went there looking for a certain set of graphics drivers and stumbled across it there. It was on File Planet too. But the game was pretty obscure, finding it was mostly pot luck. I only downloaded it out of total boredom.

Since they have started giving out free accounts I have told lots of my friends to give ryzom a go. None of them had any problems creating accounts or getting the client to work. They simply followed the basic instructions on the website. Click here to create your account. Click here to download the client. Very easy.

It doesn't quite make sense to me, the first thing I would do whilst downloading the client would be to hit the website to look for account creation. Maybe thats just me.

In all my years of playing ryzom I have never had a problem running the client and I have had it running on some really low spec machines! These days the average computer is likely to run this on max settings easily enough.

I quite like the graphics in this game, they feel so much more 'real' than other MMO's. The enviroments have life that other games dont seem capture. But thats just my personal opinion.

The Prime Roots are PVP areas where you can kill the opposing Faction. It's in Prime Roots that Supreme materials are found for making the best equipment.

I would love for them to impliment some new mounts. The meks are cool but can't go wrong with a bit of variety

Love the Ocyx think they are one of the best looking mobs in the game... and they breathe fire!

The Ryzom community is one of the friendliest I have found in an MMO. A large majority of the players are mature and there is always plenty of people willing to help you out with any aspect of the game.

Considering it is completely free for the time being well worth a go!
