I'm on the first server too, it's often the most populated. I'm playing Acc though I've not had much time to login over the past few weeks |

I think you may have to be logged in to use the web site mail. Basically their website is unbelievably shit. Who ever built it needs shooting. |

I have no idea tbh, the only thing I can suggest is sending them an email from the website quoting your account name/ characters and what servers they where on.
I'm not to sure if they even mail out warnings to players which is pretty sucky really :( |

A Help from fellow gamers. Entering the console market
General Gaming « General Discussion 11/26/09 9:27:47 AM
If you want to do online gaming then Xbox 360 all the way. If you are a film buff and watching movies is more important to you then PS3 is the one.
I wouldn't worry about spec too much people will argue untill the cows come home which one has better hardware and which one will outperform the other. Numbers on paper don't mean much once everything is running in the home at the same time. A lot of the spec results are from controlled enviroments in stand alone tests. At the end of the day there is not a lot of difference between the two (waits for the fan boys to arrive with flaming torches and pitch forks) PS3 does anti alias better, 360 has better colour output. Big whoop.
I love zelda on the Wii, it's about the only game I play on the Wii and the graphics suck BUT after about 2 minutes of playing the game it's got such good gameplay I couldnt care less and don't even notice.
Don't get hung up on hardware and spec, at the end of the day it's about games! Go with the console that has the most amount of games you'd like to play along side features/services you will get the most use out of.
edit: just a note about online play: PSN may be free but it's nothing compared to xbox live, I know a lot of people would argue otherwise but M$ have simply had the time, development and experience over sony. I have a lot of friends with both PS3 and 360 and they all use xbox for their online gaming. Using their PS3 for PS exclusive titles. PSN is getting better but it's just not where live is. |

There was another server merge on the 12th November, why they keep adding new servers only to merge them again I'll never know. If you have a toon I'd advise you to transfer it to one of the new servers even if you are not currently playing to avoid any loses. Some players who did not transfer their toons in the previous merge for a long period of time lost their toons. |

Everyone seems to think the new site is an improvment but to me the old site was far better than this one. The old one was messed up by the new owner by some poor video placement but I think the new site looks amatuer and has lost the Ryzom sparkle. |

It's been a long time since I've done any missions in Ryzom and a long time since I've been on the started island. I know on some missions you can right click your compass, select mission and target the next NPC (in that stage of the mission) and point your compass to their location along side how far away they are. I really cant remember how many missions/ aspects this applys to or if it is ever bought up in any of the tutorials on the starter island? Just thought id bring it up for discussion |

Have games lost their soul as a result of graphical realism?

When you have less to work with you have to be more creative. |

Sould we stop the Boycott to Funcom?

With MMOs I always download the only thing the box is good for is the serial. Once you have used that its pretty much useless. MMOs update an awful lot too so discs will quickly become out of date. Any other type of game I will purchase a disc for so I can lend to friends/trade/sell. |

Ryzom great sandbox game. It's had its run of bad luck with awful owners running it into the ground but a new owner has taken the reins fixed most of the bugs and is beginning to add new content. Definately one to keep an eye on if your a sandbox fan. |

The Real Effect of Star Trek Online and Star Wars the Old Republic Online
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/16/09 11:28:55 AM
STO looks pretty rubbish from everything I've seen so far. SWTOR has great potential. IP is hugely popular and it's backed by a great developer. I know star trek is also a huge IP but it has nothing on star wars. |

Ryzom is amazing! You need a certain amount of wits and brain power to survive on Atys. It's not for all. Population is a bit low atm but that can easily grow with time now that a decent owner is running the show. |

The whole website for that game is a load of crap if you ask me. Don't get me wrong I love the game and play it often but CCRs website sucks balls and runs like balls. The download was slow as hell for me and when it had finally downloaded the install file was corrupt so i had to go through the whole process all over again *sigh* I also found it impossible to download with Fire Fox and reluctantly had to use crappy IE. It seems the website is designed soley for IE.
IIRC the server is in Korea.
We need better websites hosting the installer. Not that CCR would link to them on their site but at least people could be pointed into better locations. |

It really depends on what level you got to, the gameplay changes dramatically from 40 - 45 upwards. There has been loads of changes and updates since beta to make the gameplay less annoying (auto potting, thank god!). Also in this version you get Returnee weapons from the word go. The only requirement is to be lvl 1 and they basically have the stats of a lvl 40 weapon. This helps you quickly get through the first 40 lvls or so which are well... a pretty bland part of the game. Id suggest giving the game another spin and see how you like. Its free to play so you wont be wasting any dime if its still not the game for you. |

On the CCR server what races are doing well in CW's?
General Discussion « RF Online 8/17/09 4:56:50 AM
I play ACC on chiron, we win a fair few CWs but I've also logged in to having the scar of defeat a number of times. So as far as I can tell its not one race owning all. |

Aftermath: Servers merged Novus+Dahin+Solus= Chiron
General Discussion « RF Online 8/10/09 5:08:16 AM
I'm ACC myself and was on Novus, chipwars where bad times. Now on Chiron I've seen ACC win a fair number of wars. Like you said since the merge its nice to see HQ well populated and a mass of players all bundled at the AH. It's now much easier to get a team. I hear that if you log out then back in your storage should re apear. I hope this is true because I've not checked my storage and I also didn't take anything out before the merge! |

I must admit I don't do a lot of reading in CCRs version so thats probably why I've not noticed many. My suggestion would be to give the game another try since the big update and see if they have managed to correct these. |
