Star Wars: The Old Republic: Things SWTOR Isn't

Facts can be irrelevant. Like the fact that I ate french fries for dinner is completely irrelevant to this conversation. I have to agree, though, the way this website pays its bills is irrelevant to whether Jon is confused over what speculating is. Speculating is not a stated fact, but an implied opinion. There is no reason why we must preface our opinions with IMO. We should be smart enough to realize what an opinion is. I think they teach that pretty early on in elementary school. |

Hypocrisy of Age of Conan Tortage and Star Wars the Old Republic
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 10/21/10 8:02:06 PM
I'll believe it when I see it. If you're trying to say SWTOR is going to be like LOTRO you're actually supporting the skeptical crowd. I can appreciate that you like a game with the depth comparable to a small mud hole in my backyard, but that doesn't mean it will excite too many people. |

Its also not a hamburger.
I don't understand why the people here who are complaining about opinions and speculation even come to this site. If you're so thin-skinned to let others offend you by meaningless opinions and speculations about a game, then do us, and yourself, a favor by never coming back. The opinions and speculations will never end. They've existed since this site came online. Get over it.
Calling people trolls, because they disagree with your perceived direction of the game does not mean you took the moral high road. |

Which Mmo gave you the best bang for your buck in the first month ?.
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/21/10 4:03:06 PM
EQ. I played the heck out of that game for the first 3 months. I remember always reading the Kunark strategy book. Learning about new spells, and reading about zones looking at zone using eqatlas.com, using allakhazam to find out about mobs and spells. Playing MMOs used to be such an adventure!! |

PCGamer edits their article: "GW2-release content plans - Updated"

Really, he did nothing, but say its a maybe or maybe not. I have nothing against buying additional content. After all, it just common sense if one wants more they have to buy more. |

If I can solo them I will buy them. Otherwise, its not worth buying content when no one groups in MMOs anymore, or its a huge hassle just to find a group. |

News at 11: If a game is bad to you, it doesn't mean its bad for everyone else & it certainly isn't a "Fact" that its bad...
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/20/10 4:50:31 PM
Can't say that I have ever read someone's opinion and confused it as fact. Does this happen to you a lot OP? Do you wish people would stop proclaiming their opinions as fact, so you can more easily tell them apart? Or do you just want people to conform to your way of thinking, because you are tired of reading dissenting opinions. I'm sure there are websites that cater to your way of thinking. Usually its the company's official website.
I can't say that I have seen this "phenomenon" occuring as much as people seem to be claiming. I read a lot of people say "this game sucks", which is clearly an opinion. Heck, even if someone says "in fact, this game sucks" they are merely pointing out in their reality the game sucks. Opinions don't need to have disclaimers on them. To suggest or imply this is idiotic. |

Why SWTOR won't be like FFXIV(?)

And I don't know whether I should be kind and feel sorry for you, or malicious and laugh at your situation You don't see those as inflamatory, eh?
Surely, a person who believes theirself so intelligent can see the derogatory nature of these statements.

If the Smuggler doesn't smuggle...
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 10/11/10 12:33:53 PM
There will be no smuggling. This will not be a very complex game. Sure, a quest might say you smuggle something, but you won't be able to get caught. At least, that is my opinion. |

Why do you say the hype is low? Seems pretty high to me. TOR and GW2 are the most talked about upcoming games on this site. TOR is ranked number 3 in terms of hype, but it seems to be number one or two based off the number of post. |

How many new mmorpg clients have you purchased In the last five years where you didn't subscribe after the first free month?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/11/10 12:26:19 PM
I learned my lesson from EQ2 and AC2. Both I quit within a week.
The only MMO I bought before it was properly reviewed in the past 5 years has been WAR. Technically, I stayed subbed for 3 months, but I only played for 2. I'm thinking of buying GW2 before its reviewed also. |

Lord of the Rings Online: Big Numbers Since Conversion

I'm really surprised and discouraged. I was really hoping players wouldn't be amused by killing pigs, bears and wolves nonstop. |

Which game do you think will be more successful? GW2, or ToR?

I'm gonna say the both do extremely well. |

I can't help but see a correlation of people lacking reading comprehension skills to their lack of writing skills. I just saw a thread that made me think of this of this topic. The thread was named "more people joined left". There are so many examples of people not using any punctuation let alone being able to communicate a thought in writing. Please don't mistake me for a forum nazi, or implying that I have great writing skills - I do not. I'm no stickler for grammar, but damn there is some level of grammar skills needed to communicate. Too many people are lacking it. |
