It's very possible that ArenaNet isn't a publicly traded company, which means they don't have stock.

The original Planetside, and all of the Guild Wars series. This next year is gonna be great for me!

well spawn points were just as important in ps1. The AMS was a crucial part of the game. I kinda do wish they would only slightly reduce the hp and inventory space of infantry though.

Tribes ascend and univerese is being developed by Hi res studios, the same people who released Global agenda with the standard UT3 hit detection and hitscan weapons, they're not the same developer as the original tribes. Dont put any faith in them, they're pants on head retarded.

As for Planetside Next, SOE purchased the Unreal 3 engine back in 06, while its highly unlikly they started on it back then, more likly 2008-2009, but Planetside is like no other MMO, it requires no real content, just some weapons, tanks, afew maps and players to fight it out. The development cycle should be rather fast, the only hard part is changing the UT3 netcode to support a large amount of players, but hey, they did it 8 years ago, im sure they can do it again.

Yea they have the brand new forgelight engine. But I still agree that making a few maps, weapons, and vehicles shouldn't take very long. I will expect something Q1 2012

Great article! Besides the things you mentioned about gameplay I REALLY hope SOE spends a decent amount on advertising. I know I will be doing my part by telling all my friends and people at work to play.

Seriously....what is the point of playing or even buying the game if you want to be at the cap immediately!?  I'm surprised that no MMO company has yet offered the option for say $50-$100 get an instant lvl cap! {Course you'd get the cap but no money or gear either...}   If any does it first I'd say Blizzard will since they have so many other paid options now, and heck even race change is coming soon!

 

Hi... I'm Guildwars. I offered instant level 20 PvP only character with max gear, with the ability to unlock skills and upgrades through PvP currency called Balthazar faction. But no.... no game has ever offered instant level cap....
