He is exactly right and most of you been saying the same thing but when Blizzard says it then you have a problem. Please,Please... Stop the it copied this and that because EVERY! game copies something and the only reason you hate WoW because it's the thing to do... Why not hate on really crappy games.. Darkfall and everything else that came out in the last year.

NOT talking about a revolutionary new cross server dungeon implementation in patch 3.3 but resorting to OLD HAT and very silly  arguments of WHO invented WHAT and at which time...of GAMES already dead .... YEARS ago.

The only thing lacking in the article is references to Mac Donalds and Britney Spears.

The article didn't even cite the MOST important introduced factor in WOW since the clustered BG's and ladder based PvP system: the cross server dungeons.

I love when people start arguing about a game that they can stop playing at anytime so if you are complaining and still playing... You are a FOOL!. I still play the game and yes they borrowed features from other games and improved on them but feel free to go play EQ,DAOC or even UO because we all know they didn't screw those up. HA..

It's called PvP and I'm so tired of hearing about ganking...... It's easy don't play on a PvP server and realize that I'm your enemy not your friend that's why it's called Alliance vs Horde. The only people that complain about being ganked are the people that get ganked before they can do it someone else. PERIOD!

Exactly..... I'm so tired of hearing that people don't have the time to invest to get good items. Well.. I suggest playing a single player game or not playing at all because I work 12 hours a day and play for 2-4 a day and I still have time to enjoy what I can. The problem is that the casual complainer wants everything to be easy so they can be equal but that's no different than the guy working 4 hours wanting the same pay as me, does that sound right? NO!.

This is an old debate and we all know the outcome these days with MMOs let's make is easy because people are cry babies and don't want a challenge but in the meantime the casuals stay on the forums 24/7. I quit WoW a while back because the end game is pointless and after you have the best gear what's the point to keep playing? More gear? The new expansion is just a new carrot that has more levels to do and the blacksmithing is still pointless and pvp is for what? No goals.

No targeting, first-person view, character collision and hit boxes also means tactical manoeuvres and training in groups becomes very important. You cannot have archers or mages randomly sending in projectiles or AOE's into the midst of battle as they risk hitting their own. Furthermore it's possible to really use the environment by taking advantage of line-of sight, choke points, terrain height etc.

That sounds like Darkfall and that's where I see a problem... When a player stood in front of another player to get you flagged was a big problem or when hunting with a group and accidentally hitting a group member. I hope they pull it off but this has been tried this way and failed because of those issues but we'll see. I would of rather them made a 2d UO style of game honestly.

I swear play the game first before making comparisons to COH because it plays nothing like that. DAOC original? Sorry.. far from it. I think the game for you two would be Darkfall with all it's originality and it also plays like nothing else. HA!

I remember the days when you just rerolled and experienced the other side.... I can see that the "I don't have to time to play" crowd is getting what they want but in the meantime they live on the WoW forum 24/7. I predict that premade characters will be sold soon.

I have been playing since beta and the game has improved in some areas and some parts haven't but to anyone that says you can't enjoy the game before 80 is a fool.  That's the problem with players these days it's all about rushing to brag but if you take your time you would realize that the low bg's are fun and there are many dungeons to run and quests to do so TAKE YOUR TIME!. Oh... Also don't let the WoW haters make your decision for you because those are the same people that cry when a twink kills them or they jump on the "This game is going to kill WoW" Bandwagon and we all see how the great almighty Darkfall went.. So basically play any game taking your time and enjoy it and being a level 80 doesn't make you a experienced player or even a good WoW player. P.S. They are replaying the game if you haven't noticed, LOL!

We wouldn't want anyone have to wait or work towards something that would only make people think or be patient. I say give all the players everything at level 1 and then they can go do............? This is exactly why I left WoW it has become a joke and the next expansion should be the game plays itself so you can go play something else. Casuals...

Sure isn't Darkfall....... I decided to leave the MMOs alone till something good comes out so at the moment it is Mount & Blade,Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls. I would go back to the crap UO has turned out to be now than Darkfall.

Give me a GOOD MMO first and I'll go back to being hardcore but at the moment I wouldn't waste my time playing these cookie cutter level based MMOs. The truth is if it wasn't for the hardcore gamers then the MMO market wouldn't be around because the casual player jumps ship when a new game comes out. I still don't understand the whole I don't have the time to play that much... Well... I suggest playing a single player game and stop complaining because I have a life outside of games and still have time to play.

I wish they would understand that making things easy doesn't make it fun.

That's the problem..... Why wait 6 months? The game should atleast have content and be playable/fun from the start. I remember playing EQ,UO,DAOC and many other games that needed to be tweaked and polished but they had content and were fun from the start so don't try to compare them to this.  Anyways... I know I'm done posting about DF because really what's the point the game is released and any intelligent person can see what they have on their hands.

Also sorry Darkfall is not for you. And your comment about UO fans not liking DF is a joke. Every single UO friend I have kept in contact with that was in beta liked the game (4), and the others want to play.

I don't know how many UO friends you have but I know about 15 UO players that tested and learned about no housing and they went back to UO. To the OP nice post and I think everyone on these forums including me  need to apologize for something said.

I just don't get why everyone wants to bash this game and its lack of content when most other mainstream MMO's weren't feature complete on release either......

What about putting something into the game before release? Can we say empty? I say the lack of common sense or desperation for a new mmo is reason behind the beer goggles.

I will be doing the same thing as far as gaming goes, WoW off and on and then some UO classic while waitng for Empire Total War and MLB The Show 09. Almost everyone beta loves the game??? Are you in beta? I suggest reading the beta forums and playing pass the goblin camp and then you would know how this is a massive fail.........
