Is there such a server like this planned for release?

Is it like FFA PvP?

So another carebear hack and slash?

Main MMO I am interested in at this time is WAR, but thats months away so I am taking my time on it.

AoC is another game I have an eye on but interest is not as much compared for my feeling for WAR.

After testing soem great disasters (Ryl, Dark & Light, Mourning) and soem real premature releases (Vanguard) I think I am just going to watch and see from now.

Not worth wasting my time and energy to get disappointed yet again.

Good thing my schedule will start to get busier in a few months and will give me enough time to just watch the show and see if its worth the ride when I have more time for my hobbies :D

In short, sick of the hype then the delivery is not the same.

So just going to take care of IRL stuff and just play the wait and see game.

if you can't find one of these work orders then let me know as that may lead to an undrlying issue that I can't see since everythign is conencted correctly from my end.

I will repeat what I have said before I guess:

• 1st we are told we have to craft at certain outposts.
• Then we are told there are specific recipes that are "suppose" to drop them.
• Then we are told the ONLY way to find out if the 50lv Upgradeable Boots/Shirts drop is broken and undependable (VGPlayers.com).
• Then we are told the ONLY people that can tell us can't and won't tell us the official answer!
• Then we have exposed that ALL Outposts have the recipes that are listed.
• Then the person that gave us such info suddenly decided to no longer post on the next business day while taking a jab at me!
• That same person ALSO stated to us that the code in the Internal, Test and Live servers are the SAME and NO reason it shouldn't drop!

Repeating myself again.

EVERY and ALL Outpost has the recipes listed that is "Suppose" to drop those Upgradeable 50lv Crafter Shirt/Boots yet NO ONE has EVER received them and YET THEY are trying to tell us that the TEST/LIVE/Internal Servers has the same code pertaining to this!
They keep insinuating that somehow it is the Players Fault and NOT the Coding.
(1st We are NOT crafting at the right spot, then the right recipes, then we find out ALL Outposts have the recipes required to get said items yet they don't drop.)

This is just 1 example of a few things that the Player Base has been yelling and screaming to the Devs about yet they are ignored and chastised.

Each and EVERY time the Player Community are just given run around answers and BS that would pacify the sheeps.

A short clarification

"Ok I will clear up some of the speculation here before I leave.

1. SOE is not silencing me; please consider why you think SOE would silence a developer who is responding to his community. Regardless of how much you may dislike them they are not out to make you angry.

2. This has nothing to do with any hostility. Any of you who have been here or in beta I have put up with hostility much worse then puffy or Finnster can dish out. Generally the most aggressive posters have turned out to be the most passionate when it comes to Vanguards crafting system and the vision I put forth. I have had differences with plenty of people who have come and gone on this forum and at no point has it made me want to stop. I love to debate, have healthy discussions and I also like long walks on the park if anyone was interested =). I understand that the anonymity of a message board allows us to be very irrational about our response when the consequences of our actions are at most having to create a new non banned account. I accept that heated responses come with the territory and I expect all of you to not be surprised when you get them back.

3. This is a decision I have mulled over several times as the boards are important to me because (despite what some people may think) I love this community and I read issues and check on issues as much as I can. I gladly spend large chunks of my day looking into things outside of my work schedule because people scream that they need to be looked into. If you don't believe I care I cannot prove to you otherwise and I am not obligated to do so. I am still looking into the lvl 50 crafting gear issue (if I did not think it was a bug I would not be spending anytime on it Finn, Kilim, puffy, and anyone else who thinks I am dismissing it) I am also looking into various other issues that are reported as bugs here. I have a significant amount of work that needs to be done and I am sure you would all rather have me focusing on getting work done and bugs resolved.

Either way like I said there are several work related and personal reasons why this is happening and as I said a few months ago Jansan will more then likely be taking over as crafting lead at some point. But please do not expect him to have the level of communication I have had.

That thread is linked in my original post so why "wouldn't I be adding it?" when I made sure to link it in my OP?
I think I made it easy enough so others can find and read the threads themselves, hence I am not hiding anything.

Why you think I named the thread the way I did it.

• Dev Exposed = Silius caught in a lie
• Forum Nazis = VanguardCrafters.com Mod/Admin censoring me.
• Player Gone = Kilim quit Vanguard.

I think I pretty much posted the reasons about each part?

If you reread the threads again, You can see that I was able to prove to Silius and everyone that what he is feeding us are all BS.
There are other players in there that has also posted and shown the other BS they have feeded the player community including this one.

Up until before he made his guilt trip gbye post, ALL I was ever doing was posting feedback so we can figure out what is the problem and that I have NOT made ANY hostile post prior to that as can be seen on my post history!.
I only started getting hostile AFTER he made that gbye post.
It doesn't take to be a psychologist why he even mentioned my name.
Why he took my posting as hostile instead of an honest player feedback, I don't know, I was surprised as well why he took it that way.
All I did was check EVERYTHING he told us and posted my feedback on it showing that the info that he has given us are flawed.

If you would buy into his BS even more on his "Final Reply" then ... you may as well buy the other BS he was feeding everyone.

All they had to do was say something like: Sorry we made a mistake but they NEVER do that and their track record has proven that.

I was enjoying Vanguard for a few until I started getting teh same treatment as Farlan so I just recently quit it.

So decided to look at the 1 game that made me feel that pissed off and funny its still around.

The site is NOT for subscribers ONLY.
I was emotional when I did say I canceled my account and actually had a bunch of other players trying to convince me to not leave.
There are a few others that say they are canceling tehir account or have canceled their account and NOT given teh same treatment as I in that site!
But of course the events that transpired convinced me that it is in fact time to go.
I don't see a Rule in that site that one can no longer post when you stop playing.
What if I get bored again and decides to play Vanguard again? or some of my friends cools me off to let things go and play teh game again?

The Mods there in their Official forum also shut me down for showing Facts and exposing them for what they are!
Many of the "Fanbois" acted like "Sheep" and attacked my well documented post.
Now we all know the truth about that game and where are the "Sheep" in that game now?
Many of them finally realized after the same issues/events personally happens to them.

Some people are easy to attack others until the same incident/event happens to them. Then a different song is played by those exact same people!

Sad part, I got treated worst in VanguardCrafters.com than I did with Dark & Light!
Now think of that as a comparison.

I personally hope that Vanguard gets its issues together.
Too much pride is breaking it and losing people that actually loved the game.
I did enjoy it to the last minute and see alot of potential in it .... but potential can go only so far if its not implemented. (I know I said this about a few other games ...)

As for VanguardCrafters.com, I sure hope they chill out some.
It has a hub of great info in it.
But how certain things are being handled are just atrocious and needs to be calmed down.
I know many people that love the info in it but hate how things are moderated, me included.
maybe they will learn that having an iron fist is not always a good thing to have.

I have Beta tested and tried various MMOs since I discovered them. Was fun for a bit but didn't take me in when it came out.

You state that it is nothing but BS and him "insisting nothing is broken".  If you opened your eyes a little more and don't read into that what you want to see, it is pretty clear he thinks it should be working, asks people to test it and admits he doesn't know why it might not be working properly.  Pretty much the whole reason for discussing with the community is to figure these things out.  1,000s of players will always figure out more than a small team of developers.

Also, he might be forbidden by company policy to state any discoveries that have been made in the game, let alone giving you what server and more information that it was made on (so that you can most likely hound that player for details).  That is pretty common for game companies.

If the OP had started a post in the general forums or posted in the post specifically for complaining (like mod asked for) they would likely still be able to post now.

I'm wodering Kilim.  With all the work you did verifying that the recipes were available at each outpost, did you also do enough crafting at each of these outposts to verify that the items do no drop?  I was under the impression that those items were  rare crafting drops.

Yes.

I have crafted at various outposts doing more than 100+ Recipes at a time. I tend to do ONLY Batches WO from 1-50. MANY other crafters have also reported crafting at those variosu locatiosn without a single drop. That is what started the thread because the Officials are treating the player base like idiots even though they have been posting their data and feedback for the Devs to check! . (Which is not the 1st time)

Also, the items that are NOT dropping are marked Uncommon/Blue Items.

Their are Ultra-rare/Orange marked Recipes that drop from Batches WO and I have had over 50+ of those drop in my crafting career in VG.

To be honest, at this time, getting recipes is easier than getting those 2 items that are "suppose" to be dropable in the live servers.

I did my homework like I always do before I make any posts like this.

Yeah you called them out and yeah they found out they were wrong and then went
into damage control mode.  Damage control generally means silencing the person
who knows what's really going on. 


With the state the game was released in, and the total lack of quality control, it should
come as no surprise that there would be problems like this waiting to surface.  With
literally hundreds of fixes going in at every patch, it is not surprising (at least to me)
that such and such a recipe or ingredient does not drop.   In my mind, this is just
another indicator that even six months after release, the game is still not ready for
primetime.  There is a lot more fixing that needs to happen before this puppy is 
in a presentable state.

I am sure others can fill in other examples when the Players has been stating an issue has been there yet teh Devs are stating that they are working as intended.

T5 Thatch finally got fixed AFTER months of the player base stating it is broken and the Devs stating its working properly, then when they fixed it, they did NOT state anything that they was wrong or thanking the community for bringing up the problem to be fixed! 

This game is so reminding me of Dark & Light every day now :(

The ONLY difference here is that in DnL, the Devs/Alchemic Dream/CSR did NOT take a jab at me on their goodbye post ...

1st:

ALL I did was EXPOSE the lies he was giving us.

If you have read that thread thoroughly he stated to us:

1st we are told we have to craft at certain outposts.
Then we are told there are specific recipes that are "suppose" to drop them.
Then we are told the ONLY way to find out if the 50lv Upgradeable Boots/Shirts drop is broken and undependable (VGPlayers.com).
Then we are told the ONLY people that can tell us can't and won't tell us the official answer!
Then we have exposed that ALL Outposts have the recipes that are listed.
Then the person that gave us such info suddenly decided to no longer post on the next business day!

That same person ALSO stated to us that the code in the Internal, Test and Live servers are the SAME and NO reason it shouldn't drop!

I guess digging the truth, providing proof and then showing it to everyone will be considered criticization and /sarcasm ... or whatever.

I consider it feedback to help them realize that maybe they really need to check their coding .... again.

FYI: This is NOT the 1st time they denied soemthing is wrong even though the player base have been stating for months soemthing is wrong. Then when they get to fixing the problem, they tell no one about it and pretend it NEVER existed!

So I have been supportive of Vanguard for a while even though of its bugs and such.
There is nothing else really to play at this time so killing time with it.
Started to get bored in the months that has passed and was debating to quit the game and I think what happened recently just nailed the coffin for me.

Silius is the Lead Crafting Dev for Vanguard.
There was a discussion about how come a certain item never drops and yet he insists that it is NOT broken.
Somehow he insinuates that the players are the ones that are having the problem and not the game having its bugs.

We asked if ANY of the items has been discovered in the live servers and he stated he cannot divulge that info.
But he was kind enough to state that ONLY specific locations have it by using specific recipes.

So what does Kilim do?
He went to EACH location and cross checked each recipe in those locations.
What did Kilim find?
EACH location has the recipes that are needed.
So IF EACH location has the Recipes, that doesn't make it droppable from ONLY specific locations.

(IF you are not catching what I am trying to say here, I can reply with a more blatant post)

Wouldn't you know it, the next business day that is available, Silius decided its time to STOP posting in public forums and will ONLY post in the SoE Official forums.
The best part, he took a jab at Kilim in his guilt trip goodbye post.

Story don't end there.
I always loved VanguardCrafters.com for its info located in it.
But always hated how the mods act in there. (They act so holier than though with a power trip, reminds me of a certain forum mod company ... <cough >Alchemic Dream</cough> )
Because of me being upset, I posted my toughts on the issue.
They decided to delete a few of my posts and put me in the "Retired" usergroup, preventing me from posting there again.

That pretty much nailed it for me that vanguard is no longer for me.

Dev that treats its player community as idiots and an Affiliate website that acts as Forum Nazis.

I haven't met people like this since I tried Dark & Light!
I guess next time, I should just shut up and not state and post any truth in the matter so i will be liked.
