From the early days of the Galactic Empire Dark Forces have always ruled and twisted in agony against the paths of the weak Jedi. Obscuri Lateris comes from the early days of SWG and was born on Star Sider. We are a guild that is reborn to play The Old Republic. We are PvE based and will play on the side of the Empire as our main focus. Our core requirements are as followed:

*Maturity-Age 18 and over is a requirement.

*North American Based for time zones- but all are welcome to join us.
 
*PvE with some PvP if you choose. We never rule out any play style. In fact we are into all aspects of the game.

*We use Mumble!  But it will not be  required to join our Galactic Cult. But note that it does help to build bonds and makes for good PvP or Raids.
 
* Our main focus is the Dark Side and Imperial. No one has an issue if you want to play a republic character as an alt, RP character, or second account.

* Casual or hardcore play times are very welcome. We are into operations!

* We are on Sith Wyrm.

Eve is a space game all about space ships, and a awful lot of eve players don't want this to change, I don't want this to change.

There is a bucket load of MMO's out there were you can dress up your character and take them for a walk, and thank God, eve is not one of them.

The implementation of Incarna was a disaster, not the idea of avatars or WIS itself. Had they not implemented the store, forced players into their avatars and actually introduced avatars as an actual functioning part of the game as opposed to the pointless gimmick it currently is, who knows, it may have been a hit.

I hope that they will release a lot of the content they planned for WiS such as the cantinas, corp offices,  and the Sec Wars. They should release bit by bit on their test server, get the feedback,and go from there. I also wanted the players to craft "everything" that has to do with the WiS.  Players should be able to craft and sell all these items for avatars. Just a thought.

Spaceships is the main focus but hell, a science game where you terraform a planet or even garden a bioshspere on an asteroid with an avatar game is every Eve Online.  I guess I still want to be Uncle Owen.

Eve still has the possibility to be even more amazing piece by piece. They certainly have the talent and technology.

For me I like the new site better. It was time for a change after all these many years. And it really shows the additions to the game over the years.

Operations

Karagga’s Palace

- Fixed an issue that caused assigned loot bags in Karagga’s Palace to distribute items with class inappropriate stats.

PvP

Ilum

- Players can no longer enter the opposing faction’s safe base area, thus preventing players from continually "camping" the other faction's base.
- Turrets inside faction bases were not intended to be destroyed and are now immune to damage.
- The population cap for instances of Ilum has been reduced to improve performance.
- Implemented optimizations to improve performance on Ilum.

Miscellaneous Bug Fixes

- Loading screens no longer appear when other players spawn nearby

Unless you've been living under a rock, chances are you've heard of SOPA and PIPA. The Stop Online Piracy Act and PROTECT IP Act are two radical pieces of copyright legislation currently being pushed through the US government. Although the stated intent of the new legislation is to provide companies with additional tools with which to combat piracy, the bill's loose wording has raised some serious alarm bells. Opponents to the proposed law say it would give corporations the ability to shut down any almost any website under the guise of protecting copyright infringement.

I can honestly see how this entire situation is a non-issue to a lot of people, and I don't think it will cause serious damage to the game overall.  People do need to realize though that for others, this is a serious issue.   A lot people do build and buy new systems to get ready for that one game coming out they want to enjoy in its full glory (I actually know of a few personally who did so with this game in mind).   For me it was Battlefield 3 and Skyrim.  Given the massive popularity with TOR, I am sure there are probably a lot of people who do feel burned by this, and I think that their outrage is justified.

The game was never really meant to be a graphical juggernaught I don't think.   Pretty much every game uses promotional screenshots that are super hi rez to promote them that end up being completely unrealistic.   I don't think the forum lawyers really have a case here.  It is perplexing though that these textures apparently do or did exist and now they are completely missing.  This is 2012 after all, and I think it's fair to say that people have a right to expect to have these textures in any gme they buy, and to have the decision to use them or not based on their system.

I  am really enjoyng SWTOR so I signed up for 6 months. 

Personally I dont care how many are playing. I am here for myself to enjoy it with my guild. I do love the UK though!
