I recently came back to WOW (about 3 weeks ago) and decided to try a RPPVP server, so I transfered one of my guys to The Venture CO... While the community appeared to be a bit more mature (with the exception of cases of Barren Fever) trying to get a group after I hit 50 was insane...Hell I was in 4 groups that didn't even make it to the damn instance before they fell apart. 

So after that 25 dollar failed expierement I decided to do alittle more digging around to find another server.  I looked at the younger servers first and went to the forums to check stuff out. Long story short people were complaining about either H/A ratio's or that everyone appears to be leaving the server.  So by mistake I checked my first server(Illidan) that I played on when the game first launched and people were making comments complaining about to many people were rolling on that server.. I logged in 5 mins later and all I can say is that I was amazed about how many low levels their are running around.  For the amount of high levels they have in the game there is nearly as many low levels.  Anyways give Illidan a try I can almost promise you that you will stay there once you log in.

When im running back to the boring same old mission grind of City of Villians instead of playing a brand spanking new MMO....... you have problems with your game.

They forgot to add that Darfall is Vaporware...

But seriously when or if they finally do come out with Darkfall It just might be the most complete MMO ever made. However I cannot help but to be turned off by the animations and outof date graphics. I also do not for a second believe that a team this size and with its limited finicial backing will be able to make servers that will be able to support 10k players each server, noway in hell.

Personally I think Darkfall will be a step above Shadowbane, but not that major of a step.. I see it pulling a DarknLight in the dissapointment arena. Well ok, maybe not that bad but pretty close.

If somone could just pump some money into this game, it would actually be a huge success I believe.

I was like you as well I hated having to grind out for Rep (to get that good gear) as well and since I was not a guild type person that ruled out getting any good gear from some of the top end instances so I left.

I played Planetside(agian)  for a while after while but left when those idiots decided to raise the monthly fee..Then I went to COX and recently left after I got tired of the inspiration (pill popping) pvp.

I recently decided to go back to WOW after much debate and I cannot tell you how pissed I am at myself for not going back sooner. Not only has Blizzard lessoned the pvp grind by a hell of a alot. But they seemed to have actually listened to thier damn community (how many MMO developers can actually say that) and have made all types of changes to their game since I last played.. PVP grind is nowhere near as bad as it was since you are no longer competing agianst other characters(rank system) in order to be able to get certain gear.. Now all you have to do is get honor points (by killing the enemy) and that instances token (or whatever you call it) to buy PVP gear. 

I went back last week on my level 49 and within 2 days I already had him decked out in some pretty decent pvp trinkets/rings and other gear.

Anyways all I can say is that I tried to ther MMO's (EQ2, and LOTR beta) and compared to the old WOW they sucked then.. They cannot even compete with what WOW is now. I know people will come on here and spout the crap about how WOW is for kids (like trix) and what ever nonsense.. But the simple point of the matter is that its the best selling MMO of all time for a reason.

People are migrating over to 2 servers (Virtue and Freedom) since their servers are indeed dying.. So why most of you might think that this game is alive and kicking, understand that that is because everyone is going to the same 2 servers...

Try starting a toon on one of the other less populated server and have fun trying to find groups constantly. We won't even talk about pvp on those servers, which im sure most of you carebears couldn't be happier about.

You know about 3 weeks prior to me getting into the Fileplanet beta I read a quote were someone said "Its not what I expected"... I had no idea untill about 1 hour into the game that that dude was dead on..

Lets just say that if they took what 6 years to make this game, 5 of those years was spent at watching Pr0n. When I rather play something as old as Planetside or hell even COX rather then your brand new freash MMO, you have problems...

To say they dropped the ball on this game would be a HUGE understatement.

I have to disagree with you. Tabula Rasa takes alot of skill. But it isn't all shooting skill.

I will agree however, I would like more shooting skill. But there is no way now to make a game like that. In Battlefield 2, you can have x max amount of people in the game. But in TR, there might be 20 in a area, and it jump to 200+ in a matter of  minutes. Hopefully in years to come, you can have something like that, but right now, it isn't possible.

I don't know planetside supports 200+ fights and does it pretty well and that game is 4 years old.

Yeah that excuse of not being able to have X amount of people in one area in a MMOFPS game doesn't hold water anymore.. Neocron 1+2, Endless Ages, WW2 online, and Planetside all proved that theory to be wrong.

The Devs just didn't want to try it in TR for one crazy reason or another. What I find funny is that since they didn't try the FPS idea out you would think that they would have made other aspects of the game better... But to be honest Tabula Rasa is average at best, it felt like Vanguard all over agian (as far as will it fail or not).

They spent like 20 years (ok not that many but damn close) on making this game and all I could think about while I played it was wtf were they doing for 19 of those years cause if this is all they have to show so far these Developers SUCK.

Correct me if im wrong but you can gain skill ups for smiting ore.. So if I wanted to Powerlevel my toon and had lots of money, I would probably check the AH for ore buy it then smite it to gain PL my mining even faster...

So that being said, I would sell everthing as ore.

First of all I have to say that all the post replying to you are positive yet in the poll most of the people said no.. Just goes to show you how many tried troll/haters there are out there..

As for is it worth it to give it another shot, hell yes!

I left about a year and a half ago and recently came back last week... After playing most of these tired MMO's to my left I can honestly say that WOW is head and shoulders above the rest.. Also they seemed to have listened to thier community (you hear that other MMO's) alot of the things people were bitching about a year and a half ago have been corrected (auto matic grouping in BG's, lack of world pvp with a meaning, etc)..I could go on and on about the changes but I have go log in lol

Anyways if you think about joining a server look up some of the RPPVP servers, so far the community on them is 100 times better then the leet kiddies you find on the regular servers..

Nothing like a guy swallowing a bunch of inspirations (outside buffs that you can buy from a vendor) and then comming up and 2 shotting you.. WEEEEE!!!  now thats fun right there boy.

Keep in mind this is comming from someone who has the highest rep pvp you can possible have in that game on a level 30 toon to boot.  And I still think COX pvp is garbage, might as well be playing RF online potion pop.

If EQ2 was actually a better game then WOW then more people would be playing it then would be playing WOW...Who cares taht Blizzard had a huge fan base, if they released a crappy game like EQ2 with crappy combat or god forbid a game like Vanguard then all the rep in the world would not have kept people comming back or joining the game.

BTW name one other MMO that has come out that had a OPEN book closed beta process that WOW had.. I can think of none, they all claim they want to keep their unique features away from competion but we all know why they really do it.. They do not want their beta testers bashing the game to death and letting people know how much it sucks... Blizzard knew they had a hit and a damn good game on thier hands thats why they didn't care about beta testers telling their expierences.

Seriously, im just getting sick of people trying to bash WOW and say this game is better or that game is better then it.  Atleast you people can try to compare games that are actually fun and not clunky pieces of crap with horrible combat.

I might have had my problems with WOW in the past which has caused me to leave and try out other MMO's.. The the more I play other MMO's (EQ2, DAOC, City of Heros/Villians, GW, SWG, DnD online, LOTR (beta) Tabula Rasa (beta), Face of Mankind, EVE) the more I want to go back to WOW.. I think that alone speaks volumes, and its just another reason why WOW is the number 1 selling MMO in history.  You people can come on here and spew that crap about how WOW is so Noob friendly and it has silly looking Graphics but its number 1 why the MMO you play struggles to stay afloat.

Why is it retarded?  If they released the Blood Elves alone then Alliance would not have gotten a class so yes people would have been mad.  But both sides can play the DeathKnight so I don't see a problem with it.

And when they finally do release the other Hero classes and then DK's start complaining about how their class is not balanced to the other hero classes don't wonder about that either. 

Blizzard should release all the Hero classes at one time not one at a time, they are just setting themselfs up for failure. But hell comming from the people that brought us the "Honor System" (/laff) it doesn't suprise me.
