Not to sound mean, but you don't know the reason that im trying to pvp. I NORMALLY AM A PVE PLAYER (unless I have lots of time on my hands and playing EVE online, than im a pvp player :D ), and the pve portion of TSW is the part that I spent the wast majority of my time on.

ARMOR! SWEET, SWEET PVP ARMOR! In a (rather) recent(ish) update, they have made it so that if you earn an armor outfit as a reward in PVP, you can now also use it in PVE,,,, and im just such a sucker for armor :D

AND ALSO, I have only been pvping for a day, NOT FOR MONTHS OR YEARS, so yeah... with all due respect, I can't imagine that your philosophy applies in this particular case :)

Well, it has been a few hours or so since pvp's been unavailable for me, and still no dice.

I love the idea that has been suggested above, by the way.

Instead of letting me find out by SURPRISE (I don't think its mentioned much anywhere)

1-Give me a warning that ur gonna ban me from pvp for a while EVEN THOUGH I NEVER ENTERED A PVP SITUATION WITH MY ALT.

2-LET *ME* nominate a character for pvp, so that all other characters are disabled for pvp for at least 48 (+) hours, THAT WAY, i cant trick anyone, but at the same time, i know what im getting into.

IMHO, the current system really sucks, and i still have no reply to my petition...

And i was just about to re-subscribe to the game, lol :D

Im back to TSW after a rather long break.

I joined multiple  pvp matches yesterday without any problems.

I even joined one more match today - this morning, before the pvp got disabled for me.

How? ...........I THINK=

Its about me switching characters for a little while.

After doing my last pvp match this morning, I switch to one of my alt characters (SAME FACTION) to test out a few different weapon/skill combinations on him,

BUT THAN, I switched to my second alt character, THIS TIME FROM A DIFFERENT FACTION, and tried a few more weapon&skill combinations on him,.

I NEVER JOINED PVP WITH ANY ONE OF THESE ALT-TOONs.

After deciding on which skills to pick, I was back on my main character again, ready for another round of PVP.

BUT UNLIKE  yesterday/ this morning, no matter how many times I press the ''Sign-Up'' button, NOTHING HAPPENS.

Meaning; I can't even join a queue for the game anymore. ...........Than, I asked for help in-game, but to no-avail.

I sent a petition, but no reply yet.

ALSO, I SWITCHED BACK TO MY ALT FROM THE OPPOSING FACTION, AND I COULD JOIN PVP ON HIM!!

So (SINCE HE IS JUST a worthless ''test character'')  I deleted him immediately, I EVEN deleted my other toon from the same faction as me, restarted my computer / game many times in the process.

STILL, my main character cannot join pvp queues......

ANY advice would be helpful. If you have questions for me, dont hesitate to ask. Thank you for your time:)

How big is the world in this game ? (MAYBE compared to wow, aion, or whatever you might wanna pick to compare, hell, could even be a single-player game, for all I care)........Or at least, how big do you feel that the game-world is as you are playing in it (subjective understanding/experience of it, phenomenology :D )

ALSO, HOW VARIED is the game world=? All just a ''European Landscape'' (Forests and green valleys), OR are there also deserts, mountains,barren wastelends, ice and snow covered areas, etcatera?

Well, I studied western esotericism (along with systematic theology, hemeneutics etc) at university, and lemme tell you, this game is actually so rich in esoteric lore (well, for a game :D ), its astounding!

I have been killing pigs for the last 4-5 years and their population still seems to be the same. Every new zone added seems to be bringing more Pigs to kill... The real danger to these lands are not the Orcs goblins etc..it is the PIGS!

I would like to thank the developers for adding new pigs at every new zone, I keep paying $30-40 per expansion so I can have even higher level pigs to kill at different zones. I have to go now and kill even more pigs. I would like to suggest that developers release another expansion $50 called "Rise of the pigs". They really dont have to do much, all they have to do is just level up the pigs 5 more levels, change the color of the skin a little bit and rename the mob from "Rohan Pig" to "Super Pig"....you know, like they do at every expansion :)

Lol, I used to play this game when it was released. Back than you REALLY couldn't take a step outside of the starter areas (lv 8-9?) without really, really needing a group. 

And now, with mostly any job, you can reach endgame SOLO (without requiring group) in less than a week if ur hard-core?

Really? (NOT CRITICIZING YOU GUYS, JUST ASKING). For someone like me, who played the game so many years ago, it is very hard to imagine that :D

Im asking, coz just like the OP, I effing love grouping but I don't have all the time in the world to play games. In fact, despite my love for MMOs, my time free-time is very limited these days. And I remember back in the day, sometimes we could wait up to 40-60 minutes to get a group rolling. Now an approximetly an hour a day is my TOTAL amount of time to play games, uhuh;(

I actually like the game (lotsa vehicles and running over bugs, some very cool looking vanity armor, a decent choice of weapons, interesting storyline (for an mmo), a combat system that is somewhat  more engaging than just standing in front of an enemy and pressing 1-5 (basically) etc etc.

Now, what this game needs is more content, IMO (as the latest patch seems to have fixed lots of bugs according to my friends playing the game). But to be honest - personally; I have so little time to play games each day, I recon I won't be running of content anytime soon. Just my 2 cents.

Its about zombies (as the title says), its 3D, its most likely played from a third person perspective,  ITS ABOUT DRIVING A VEHICLE across a zombie-infested world, killing things (NO, Im not talking about the game Zombie Driver! :D ) BUT if I remember correctly, you can ALSO get off your vehicle.

it was PROBABLY (BUT NOT SURELY) released by a ''minor'' company, maybe a russian development team? So, the game was never well-known to begin with. It was probably released after 2008, SO iT COULD BE anywhere between 2008-2010, BUT IM NOT SURE about that, either ;(

You could upgrade your vehicle to some degree, and LASTLY; the game had very artistic, ''non-realistic'', I mean sort of ''cartoonish'' graphics with some very ''wierd'' characters with funky personalities like the old lucas arts adventure games.

The game had gotten very little publicity (as I mentioned above) when It was released, BUT I STILL HAD MANAGED to scraunge some reviews and youtube clips about it back than, before it disappeared off my radar a few years ago.

Generally, the game was criticized for its repetitive nature.

PLEASE help me find this game, and dont make me put a picture of it on milk boxes, cos I dont have a name or a picture, yet :D

I checked the link out - the one you sent me, and yeah, you were right on money,  ITS EXACTLY the problem that IM HAVING.

ALSO, just like the guy on that vid explains, setting my monitor to 60 hz at the nvidia control panel doesnt help, either, as its still recognized as a 120hz screen by the game/system.

The person in that video gives a very clear, and definite explanation about what can be done do circumvent this... bug... that some players (yeah including me) are having, which is much appriciated. And thank YOU for letting me know about it here, as well.

I have a flat-screen TV (60Hz) next to my computer, I tried the game on it, and right on it works rather flawlessly, but I still somehow prefer to play on my computer screen, so I guess I'll either have play it on TV until they patch the game or download&run the recommended programme on my computer. And right now im leaning towards the latter option....

An initial impressions sort of review by Totalbiscuit, AND (almost) THE FIRST THINGS he says in the video (0:30) is how it crashes on 120 hz monitors. FURTHERMORE, he says the-120hz bug has been in the game SINCE ALPHA and they STILL haven't fixed it yet by today.

So yeah, initially on my OP, I didnt say that anyone-else was having the issue besides me,,,, but apperantly some people ARE experiencing it, after all (As Doogiehowser pointed out).

2.) Not everyone is having the problem of crashing.  I've been playing the game perfectly fine, no crashes whatsoever for the past 8 hours.  Not a single problem at all.

 

So far, the launch of the game seems fantastic compared to what others have put out.  Trion has had previous experience with their MMO's and know how to handle things now.  It is going down fine, and if you are one of the unlucky with many problems, then try doing a fresh install by deleting any and all traces of defiance completely from your computer, especially if you were in the beta and had the old beta files.  Everything is fine on my end, and couldn't be enjoying it more.

 And I love idiotic replies like yours, too!

1-I KNOW, just googling; ''what does shtako mean'' immediately gives you the answer. I wasnt being serious when I was writing that shtako at the beginning of my post.

2-I never said that everyone have been having such an issue, IN FACT, I was constantly reminding the reader of my OWN previous experiences with MMO's, even. If you still couldnt get the cue that the whole post was subjective, well..........

3-I dont have all sorts of issues ''a.k.a'' many problems, I just cant access the settings, otherwise the game seems to be working fine, hence the ''This is not the end of the world'' add-on on my original post.

Holy moly! You actually got my number on this one, m8! :) Its true, I do have a 120hz monitor. Thank you for the reply. I will try to change the setting to 60 hz (from Nvidia control panel) and try the game again, just in case. If it helps any, Ill let you know.

What the hell is shtako anyways? Did I even spell it right?

Anyhow, the point is I usually NEVER-EVER complain about an MMO at launch, just check my profile and previous posts if you want any proof. I know that some problems during launch ARE expected.

And like many of u here, I have been playing MMO's for a long time, as well (since about 2k-2001 in my case - something like that).

But the thing with this game is that I cant even access the settings, ANY SETTINGS - even from the main menu (the initial screen that appears when you run the game) AND FURTHERMORE, the settings (in its entirity) are UNAVAILABLE, even during gameplay sessisons (once you create a charcter and login with him/her into the gameworld).

How come the settings are unavailable, in what manner, you say? Well, pressing settings from the main menu CRASHES the game. FURTHERMORE, pressing ESC during gameplay crashes the game in its entirity, as well.

To be honest, I WAS expecting problems at launch (as stated above), BUT IMHO this is a little too much! I mean, I have seen some pretty crappy launches in my time, AND THIS ISN'T the worst of them, but...still.... c'mon!! The goddam ESC crashes the game, lol! Now this is original, and never happened before! :D

PS! THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD, but I was expecting better from TRION (whatchamacallit) as I have previously played RIFT, and was impressed by that game all-around (Gameplay, customer support, etc you name it).

Oh, well. Hope they fix it soon. (Thats right, pressing the esc button shouldnt shtako ur computer).
