If you would have read my previous post, you would have seen that i am indeed using the ''right click'' block future, and yes, its not hard to do at all= i have EVEN posted it with bold letters and a thin line under to make it more visble.

So; I am not saying that its bothering me so much at all;

what i am trying to do is to make a statement as such that gold farming is indeed getting a little too rampant in this game, and that i sympatize with the OP.

I used to play Lineage II, but i was never bothered with the amount of ''private tells'' that i am getting now from Aion. During my time playing that game, i was only accosionally bothered with a ''gold spam'' on the general chat channels and the ilk, (i am speaking of MY experience, not others)

but i did not used to get a private gold-spam tell once every 5-10 mins.

So my point is that Aions in game gold spam seems to be more intense than my previous experiences with other games.

I mean, the game is so new, and from the rumors i heard, the gold sellers were spamming the chat&private channels with sales advertisements eversince the game was released such a short while ago. (Especially the EU servers). Lol, day-one gold sales! Maybe they made the gold pre-release/early start,

or maybe they dont have any gold to sell to begin with,

the important thing is the ''spam and blocking''.

Goldsellers are advertising their activities regularly on both general chat and via private tells. One click and they are blocked.

*ALAS, i am even getting tired of ''blocking'' those people as the frequency of their ''tells'' is increasing daily :D heheh. Is there an AION TRIAL?

Coz if those are not trial accounts used to sell gold, i dont see  why the devs wont ban the whole account the ''gold seller - character name'' belongs to,

AND pretty soon, the gold sellers will be loosing more money than they are making, right? (every ban=gold seller has to buy a new game)

And thus the issue would be solved...... But ofcourse for this to work, the trial offers must be suspended - IF THERE ARE ANY to begin with,

Well, i kinda like this game too, personally i would give it a 7.0 for now, and thats not a bad grade (in my opinion) although my only real gripe is with the que times.

But as someone else has allready pointed,  the OP did sound like a statement from an employee of publishing company/developers of the game,  heheh.. errr,, if so, advising ''addiction'' doesnt sound so healthy.. :D where is your sense of corporate responsibility?

Just an update.

I have finally been able to play for about 6 hours straight, starting at twelve a clock straight last night,,, (had to wake up with only 4.5 hours of sleept today, not too pleasent)

and to my suprise, the game was not so bad at all,,, i only reached lv 11 so far, (levelled my lv 4 war to glad) though, so it could definetly get much better or much worse, it is yet to be seen.

I would honestly give this game a preliminery 7 out of 10 for now. (thats not such a bad grade in my book:D )

ALAS,

I am disappointed in the wait lines STILL..

WHy?

Because i tried to login today at 19.pm this afternoon, and yes, it might be a peak hour,

But since its only a weekday (and not friday or weekend) and since they added some new servers as well as limited the player shops (private stores whattamacallit) ,

i was thinking that the line to wait would be about 40mins or something,,,

instead im still getting 3-4 hour wait times.

SURE, if it says 3hrs35 minutes, i get to wait NO MORE than 2.30 or 3 hours of wait time, but its still too much, IMHO.

I wonder.............could the publishing/responsible company honestly not predict at all that so many gamers would be playing Aion at release........?

Anyways, at least now instead of being kicked out of the game alltogether, i can now wait in line,,,, err,, its better than nothing, right?

ALL EU [eng] servers are so full that you cannot even join the queue anymore you just get a server is full message.

Aion is a nice game (played OB) but be warned you will face multi-hour login queues until NCSoft decide to add more servers (all servers are full unless you play midweek during working hours), evenigns or weekends are a big nono. This is not a new problem either, server queues were a big problem in Open Beta and are have been getting worst on daily basis.

I couldnt agree with you more. This post by the company, which i too had allready read, is totally, absolutely pointless gibberish. It is almost the DUMBEST post i have ever seen in my life:D

I AM OK WAITING HOUR/S IN LINE TO PLAY!! + I do other stuff in the meantime while waiting.

BUT NOW IT HAS GOTTEN MUCH WORSE!!

**NOW I CANNOT EVEN WAIT IN LINE ANYMORE: ** =Probably the server cap has been reached: so im being told that ''server is too full right now'' or something along that line, AND i am NOT EVEN* put into the waiting que!!

dammit!! First there were lines to wait, its ok.

Than there were longer lines to wait, its ok too.

NOW THE LINES ARE GONE ALLTOGETHER , but not* because they solved the overpopulation issue,,

I used to play Autoassault, yeah it wasnt such a great game, i know, but still..... and they brought it down.

Than i used the promotion they gave (when bringing AA down) to play Tabula rasa, heck i had even both the collectos of it, and they brought that game down as well.

Both times, i never complained or got pissed off.

But i swear, swear, aion going from longer and longer que times to NOT ALLOWED INTO THE GAME AT ALL: was the final drop of shit i could take. Screw u NC!

BUT PLEASE listen to this: I HAVE ALLREADY GOT 5 LV 3-5 CHARACTERS ON 5 DIFFERENT SERVERS ALLREADY!!

I AM FREAKING TIRED OF CREATING NEW CHARACTERS ALL THE TIME ON ALL THE SERVERS, just coz they are qued/now capped.

I pick a server that i can play on, i create a char on it, and than next time i try to log in, BANG, its capped too:(

FINALLY: To summarize: Waiting in que wasnt so cool (ofcourse) BUT it was allright,,

NOT being able to play the game AT ALL (as if i had not* PAID for the game or as if i was a pirate/or trying to play on some god-damned private server) is a biyatch!

This is my freaking game! i Shelled 60 bucks for it and gone through all the registration/adding credit card info etc etc..

at least have the decency to to let us in the freaking line,

coz i can not be bothered to try to login ever 3-5 minutes to see if our god, all mighty aion-game would let me que or not.

Heheh, i think that todays games, and especially MMOs are really being played by gamers EVEN BEFORE they are released- Heck! Even before they are created! As the author of the article pointed out, ppl are getting burned out of a MMO before they have a chance to play coz they have allready played the game so many hours in their heads. And when the game is finally released, the real/actual game cannot compete with the dream that they had in their minds :D

The gamers folly? Or the MMO industries? Personally i think we players might be at some ''fault'' but the greatest responsibility lies with the MMO company nonetheless. I appriciate the need for hype in the name of marketing and such, but i humbly believe that sometimes this is taken to the extremes by the companies. (Ex; releasing lotsa info 3 yrs before the release of a game:D That information is bound to get changed (at least to some degree) eventually=disappointment/broken promises and the opportunity for such an extremly early(mostly/generally unhealthy hype)

At least i know that there are quite some of us experiencing these login issues, so it very likely will be fixed soon. :) Since no login=no gaming=no subscription hehehh.

Also, i logged in this morning, like 14pm. and wait was just a MINUTE.,, i was so pleasently suprised!! I created a char, but than had to log off to answer the door (it was a friend dropping by to discuss something). Than i had a little late launch,

i was back by 15:30pm

BUT THIS TIME, when i tried to log-in, the wait time was 50+ minutes (more on other servers, actually - instead of the 1 min wait time just a cople hours ago) uhuhuh,,

So i guess wer back to square one ? :D

AND THE ''FUNNY'' THING IS!!=

The more i cant log-in, the more i feel like i have an ''unfinished business'', thus the more i wanna be able to login to finish that ''business'' - clearly the lack of servers must be a NCsoft Marketing campaign to make their games more popular :D :D

i wont die if i dont play the game today, tomorrow, or a few more weeks until they address the server overcrowding issues (however they see fit), and it was rather expected that the servers would be crowded like that during launch.

ALAS, i feel like i should also add that i have this urge to play this shiny brand new game of mine(that i bled 60euros for), and waiting for ever in line is still boring and disappointing, no matter how you look at it. 

Wish NC would have had a more accurate prediction of the population they would have booming on their hands and planned accordingly, but i guess wishes dont make the world go'round! :D Money does! And they got mine, and yours, so at least (FOR NOW) one side of the bargainers is happy.

Well, TBH i am a little disappointed regarding the mounted combat issue,, *but i still think that L2 is a pretty cool game (especially with the latest additions), so i guess ill be back soon anyways.

Although bumping this thread might be futile as i dont think many people would have the answer to my last question........................................................................(about if there is mounted combat, and if its in general a decent idea to fight while mounted, or peophaps it totally nerfs your character and thus not a worthwhile idea at all)

From what i understand from your answers, it is indeed very feasible to be able to get a mount in Lineage 2 now.

YET, there is one last thing that is really bugging me:D

A.K.A=Mounted Combat.

IF we take the wolf, for examle;

i understand that i can raise it as my pet, and eventually it even becomes useful during combat as my pet (DD perhaps), attacking the enemies together with my character....

BUT what about mounted combat?

If i finally raise my pets so that i can ride them, WHEN RIDING them, (mounted) can i STILL ATTACK mobs&monsters etc...=?

Is it possible=?

Or maybe there is no mounted combat, OR EVEN IF there IS; its NOT a good idea to fight while you are mounted?

Bought 12 black tesla boxes, thinking that i AT LEAST ONE* of em would pop the mount that i was dreaming of (nothing special, just a mercury raider that MOST people i meet seem to HATE  coz  of its looks, but i wanted it coz it was different than the standart horse&mount stuff).

U buy those 12 boxes for about 12000 gold on the item mall, which costs 100$ United States Dollars.... (packed together, otherwise it would be 120 dollars)

INSTEAD; I got lots and lots of loot such as vials, and crystals to upgrade my mercenaries etc....

*BUT i really didnt want em, all i wanted was a mount:(

So i tried to trade em in for a mount like the *armored mounts or stuff, but people seem to  want hard cash for their mounts, OR trading their mounts for YET better mounts,,, so not much luck for me here.....

IN THE END; i got the mount i wanted WITH THE HELP OF SOME PLAYERS through some other means and lots of trading... err...

BUT THE BUTTOM LINE IS:

You might get what u want at first, or at twentieth OR  MORE tries,,,

Its RANDOM, ITS LUCK **ITS GAMBLING!!**

AND  i learned my lesson, from now on im never ever gonna spend cash on online gambling again,,, because the worst part is FOR SOME PEOPLE IT CAN GET ADDICTIVE!! (Seriously, thats not good)

THIS IS THE *BEST FREE-TO-PLAY GAME I EVER PLAYED,

with an AWESOME  COMMUNITY of players that really help you all the way whenever you need help and give you lots of presents :D

Just be warned about the item mall GAMBLING,

and remember, ur not guaranteed to win what you want even if you pay *200 dollars for a single item in hopes of getting it....

Finally: the game is also offering services for cash such as permanent inventory extansions etc,, that u buy for ONCE and can use forever,, AND there is no gambling involved here, no luck necessary, just buy and enjoy, so its not all that bad:D

im not totally new to L2, as i have several lowbie characters,

and even though its been at least a year since i last played this game, i have been following it a little bit online, and i think the game keeps getting better and better,

so im thinking of coming back to the game.

JUST ONE QUESTION;

Back in the olden days when i had first started playing, i remember the dragons werent even out yet, than they were released, ALAS it was nigh impossible for an average gamer like me to get one... (I MIGHT BE WRONG, but it felt that way back than.....)

HAS THIS CHANGED AT ALL?

I hear the implementations of new mounts such as rideable wolves (Fenrir?) and armored horses...?

Is it extremly hard to get em`?

Can i buy a wolf pup, raise it all the way to mount size by feeding it and just ride on it, exploring the world and fighting on it?? (im not mentioning huge dragons for myself as it would be too hardcore BUT MAYBE as a casual gamer i could get another mount to ride&fight on?? ?? )

Coz if i could get such a mount, it would be a dream come through!!

Than i would play all the way from newbe areas to more advanced levels without hesitation in this beautiful game, always thinking ofthe mount that im gonna get, and when i finally get it, its likely that i would play this game for years to come!! (unless i die, or internet turns into skynet and destroyes mankind or something,....:D )

I just found out that i couldnt try darkfall out for myself even if i wanted to, since they offer no ''trial periods'' or what so ever..

So i hope asking here fist wasnt such a bad idea after all.

I COULD  try to install this game and find out on my own whats so special about DARKFALL, but i simply lack the time and wilfullness to do so,... downloading, installing, creating an account, costomizing options, creating a character and playing maybe for days or even weeks to find out what is so great about darkfall.

So i am asking here to fellow gamers.

I HEARD SO MUCH HYPE ABOUT THIS GAME, and i hear this games name on online sites quite often as randomly.

Well, when i did play almost a year ago, it didnt have the racial mounts either. BUT i heard somewhere that the mount-system of the game  was designed with the possibility of mounted combat in mind.... so maybe its released or perhaps there is an estimated release date for such an update?
