What would be nice is if they BALANCED THE DAMN CLASSES.

If they had done that 2 months ago me and my entire guild of 25+ members would still be playing.

See what Mythic fails to mention is their C&C balance team is run by mostly order devs and they care VERY LITTLE about destructions input.

Before that giant patch came in destruction was already gimped and nerfed.

Certain classes were so poorly nerfed that they were beyond unplayable in pvp.

Ask any witchelf or marauder how bad their class was.

And then the new patches came out and they nerfed those nerfed classes even MORE!!

meanwhile certain order mirror classes got buffs *cough* witch hunter *cough*.

They nerfed witchelf to the point where certain abilities did 40-45% LESS DAMAGE then previously. AND THEY WERE ALREADY GIMPED. they were the SECOND least played destruction class. and for a reason.

even their DIRECT mirror abilities didn't stack up to witch hunter mirror abilities.

Now Witchelf has an entire mastery tree that is not usable in pvp because it does almost HALF the damage it used to do before the patch.

and this is all great if i want to play my witchhunter alt but my main char and guild was DESTRO.

They have lost the majority of their subscribers due to bad class balances and they will continue to do so till someone grows up and learns to balance the game properly.

Well It's part of the ncsoft thing isn't it?

then you should be able to just buy ncsoft game cards and use that.

it's simple why they are asking.  They want to accept all races and age groups to get a survey of what kinds of ages and races this game generally appeals to.

Let's be honest here. not to sound sound racist. But most of my black friends who play games are more into halo, left4dead, and other action games then they are into things like Everquest and World of Warcraft.

I mean, even age wise how many 40+ year old games do you know that really got into games like Grand Theft Auto series?

This is not to say ALL people in those groups are like that but nevertheless games hit and appeal to certain demographics and it's important to find out what different kinds of games like these which are non-traditional mmos because you want to know who your target audience is going to be and who you really want to market a game for.

You don't see those 50 Cent games coming in marketing to elderly men and women in there 60's +.

I don't remember the first computer of my house but i remember it used big casette tapes and i used to try to put them in our stereo to see if it would play anything X-).

But I do remember we have one of the original apple computers back when steve woz was still building them out of his garage.

As far as I can tell the SWG team has been a revolving door: losing devs, community managers and producers almost as quickly as it has lost players.  Why do all these messages from departing staff paint such a picture of unparalleled awesomeness?  Imo, it's another example of being disconnected from the reality of SWG's many (and continuing) struggles.  Does anyone actually believe this stuff?

sounds like they got a pretty bad system in place.

if they are gonna go that far i dont know why they dont just use everquest 2s pvp server system. level range for attacking players.

would circumvent the murderpoint system and just not let you attack players 10+ levels below or above you if it seems to be such a big issue of grieving.

I will say this though. i remember i tried open pvp on launch and got killed with the instagrief campers everywhere i turned.

drove me nuts and quit quickly.

if i recall correctly when he showed up AOC was having ads for being a sponsor and spreading the good word for free gametime.

there was also before they did that they had hired a bunch of reps to go and defend the game but that quickly back fired as the backlash turned into what kind of horrible game must it be that they hire a bunch of goons so they dropped that off and turned it into the free gametime.

they really were the first to start the hiring people to go on boards and defend the game thing. a few other mmo companies have since adopted it as well unfortunately.

WHY OH WHY is EA in charge of the support?

i've been getting shmucked around for a week+ now by ea support over the issue of my gamecard that i bought time not being applied to my game account.

MY ACCOUNT IS NOW GOING TO EXPIRE AND ITS BEEN 4 COUNT IT 4 DAYS AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM THE EA SUPPORT REP.

THIS IS HOGWASH!

fixed it for you.

the actual sieges start at tier 2 once you hit level 11....

the lower level is smaller simple pvp and rvr because they dont want to throw you to the dogs.

and if you cant level past 13 in two weeks then... my god.

i made it to level 13 in two days.

if you like pvp focus on rvr and buy a combat plus tactic from the renown trainer and gain mad xp.

obvious attempt at trying to start a flame war.

way to go.

no talisman trainer in the empire chapter 2 camp.

have to go to the capital city or one of the other race battlegrounds and visit a trainer there.

sounds like it may be your firewall blocking access to the server ports.

or it could be your isp.

if your using a Netgear router than it may be shutting off access to critical ports.

Was my biggest issue till i bought a linksys router.

everything is working fine from my end.

got everything going just fine.

was anybody else disappointed by the writing in this article.
