Two games come to my mind: Istaria (former known as Horizons) and Champions Online.

I will preorder too.

Not sure if I'll get the CE. I would like to, but I can't rely on our (french) mail delivery services or retailers here, and I want to be sure I get into the game the day it goes gold. So I guess I'll get a digital version, prolly with Steam.

Speaking for myself, I was a Creature Handler.

I used to love exploring, find new species to tame, and also as a ranger to set up camps in the wilderness where adventurers would come in by after seeing the campfire, to relax and speak. And the occasional trip to sell tamed pets to other players, etc.

I've seen games where classes would receive huge bat nerfs. But how come a company can decide to completely remove what was the core essence of my toon, and... fun.

So, I quit.

Too bad, SWG was one of the few games where social interactions were based on cooperating for mutual interests. We had a whole town, shops, personal vehicles and guards, etc.

Too bad they cancelled the development of their Sci-Fi MMO in order to concentrate on WAR.

Playing in an uchrony where the Roman Empire runs the universe would have been really fun. We had very few informations on the game mechanics, but I always hoped it would have been DAoC 2 in space.

I like all those different clothes; just hope there also will be a lot of customization with dyes, separate armor parts, etc. And most of all: face/body customization. (Right now, nothing beats CoH/CoV, but it isn't about armors...).

yep, same classes you see in every game. I have high hopes for this game let's hope they do something to make it unique.

Guess we could call it the D&D syndrome.

And what actual games would look like if board RPGs like D&D never existed in the 80s?
