Anyways, I'd all depend on where in the books they'd decide to place the mmo. Like right down to the chapter would be a win/fail outcome.

Also, this is in all sense, the closest to a WoT game yet, http://www.wotmud.org/ It is text based, but its a very good MUD.

well i brought the game to a friends and copied out his WoW folder, I could log on and play except for the 1 char that I wanted to. Halfway through the loading screen it would crash. I ran repair... About 12 times give or take 2 and it finally finished. Anyways, then I couldn't go on any character so I reran it. Now I'm dling the patch 2.3. I hope it works.

Thanks for the reply, they have a test you can run... Everything failed. Except I don't know what to do now. The one sticky post just says test this with this program... Probably means I have to get a new hardware part... But why the hell does other stuff work -_-

Does anyone know any fixes to this installation error? I've been looking for a few days and nothings come up that will fix it. I'd give more info, but I'm posting on 4 diff sites.

EDIT: ok removing one of my stupid RAM sticks fixed it. everything worked and WoW runs on 512mb. So mad, going to go yell at the people who sold me it.

although i completely agree with you on pretty much all of your points, especially gear. DOWN WITH GEAR BASED BS.

well there's a gun somewhere in my house, ammo somewhere as well. Secure that up, with a few days of food, and head to the nearest gun shop. Probably no one there, or w/e just shoot whoevers there, etc. get a bunch of guns and ammo. steal (or use the one I have) a car and load up on fuel (get some fuel tanks) and then head to the nearest costco.

most likely would head to friends/family's houses as well, get a caravan going. probably after getting some extra guns for them, but you know, you could be really into that 'all for one/one fer all' crap and get them first.

obviously then the zombies would start coming, but I'd be ready.

there's this one part of the mission, you cross a bridge full of grunts/elites/jackals. you gota kill em all and sometimes a banshee comes. then you move into the mountain and there's some elites/grunts/jackals and maybe some hunters. then there's another bridge but all the grunts are sleepin so you kill more grunts/elites/jackals and maybe a golden sword guy who kills you in one hit.

that's called grinding, and it was damned fun. ok i think this is the wrong thread, but its 2AM and i can see for miles n miles...

there is absolutely nothing that you could take from the simpsons to make an mmo. there's nothing there.

u know, this is a pretty stupid idea.

my definition of an mmorpg would be:

anyone can go anywhere at any time with as many people as there are.

should be one server, (instances can be useful, but over used in most games), persistant world (you change it, it happens), and any number of people can be anywhere.

i just played the bioshock demo today, barely heard of it before then.

that would be a good survival horror mmo lol. although... hard to translate etc...

1 i've never exploited

2 never used a bot or 3rd party program (unless bots on wc3 count, which i only use to chat, so doesn't really do anything) even if i had a  guarantee, it'd bee too much work anyways

3 not really, if i need to use something to get to a max level, the games not worth it.

high fantasy, but with none of that magic crap or screwed up races. damn make ASoIaF into mmo, or WoT.
