NO THANKS to death penalties in WAR.

Why? Because I want it to be my RPG fix I can have anytime I want just like the way I play FPS games. For the very same reason, instant pure fun killing. If I'd have to worry about dying all the time I'd not have time to focus on doing fun stuff. And many fun things can result in death.

Give it all ya want about the community of pure carebears but that is so lame that even lemon feels groovy.

I'm surprised ya'll even talk about strategic abilities in games like WoW. I would agree that games like Guild Wars require both that AND skill to succeed but come on... WoW is just like most other games you just play your class "the right way" and everything goes like it should go

Oh god... you'r example of "skills" came from WoW? I'd try Guild Wars at least.

yes you can still pure heal in WAR, but you will be most effective not healing all the time, but also debuffing and what not. Also in WAR you can have 1 hostile and 1 friendly target. So you can still cast negative spells in with heals/buffs  and not have to lose targets.

What on earth are you all expecting? It seems most people just "join the hype wave" and take every word for granted that are being tossed around without taking any energy or effort to actually look it all up themselves!

Take a electronic drill and drill this into your brains: THIS WILL PROBABLY BE "SIMILAR TO WOW" and if you don't think that's obvious you are running blind on hope.

I bet many want to kick my rear for saying the caps locked sentence up there, but FACE IT, the combat is pretty classic from what we've seen and really, is that such a grudge? Do we need to try to hide it all the time or are we gonna come clean soon that this will be simple to get into? Just like WoW. And while this might be the step ahead in difficulty it's still THAT.

I am still 100% behind this game but it's just so frustrating that people has to be such twats over the internet and almost making MMORPG's into religions running around screaming their game is the ONLY game there is and everything else is for "slow people who just don't get it".

I bought Nightfall today and is installing it as I write this message.

I played original Guild Wars way back when it came but got tired because I like soloing to be honest and now with Nightfall I can make heroes to help me with that!

Ok I love grouping too but only with people I know IRL that is the most fun since I don't like grouping with random people. So it's gonna be a blast now when this game now has all I want!

TBH the game is called GUILD WARS and if you want a group get a guild!

3) It seems mythic hates the therm "healer" and want to call their "healers" DPS dealers aswell. I keep thinking Warrior/Monk from Guild Wars all the time but I don't know how it will turn out in the end if "healers" end up standing at the back healing all the time though.

4) You are going to have to use what you have seen since players can't reveal much of that information because of the game still being under strict NDA rules.

5) Dunno. But I really DON'T picture characters having a little picnic after a battle to regain health and power  though

Hmm ok but with my experience what offers the most dissapoints the most. WAR doesn't offer much new but it promotes little done well

Just the amount of people coming here to bach WoW shows it's success!

If you haven't tried WoW, do it, everyone must have tried it at least. It's one of the most polished and simple MMORPG's you probably ever will play.

And in all seriousness, can people please come to their sences and stop being so negative everywhere. And can all fanboys stop being so freneticly annoying and deluded (at many times) and just calm down so we can have more fun forums instead of constantly beating old dead horses trying to figure out which game beats which when it all just comes down to opinions and personal preferences.

You don't NEED to come here to BASH WoW (because every sane person on this planet knows the game is good)

You don't NEED to come here to DEFEND WoW (because of the same reason as previously stated)

I want the advantage but not the raid type hours to suit. I don't mind a few hours for a chance but the way Caroline koh puts it, its going to be a long stretch..

Well, sad thing you have to be such a power gamer with a constant urge to get the best gear that you can't - maby - try to enjoy the raids instead. This is not your cup of tea then I suspect.

All I'm thinking about is public beta!

Is there any way to do it? The Launcher music is driving me more than insane and I feel like canceling the update download because it's so consistently annoying to listen to and it overlaps any other sound I have on at the moment.

All it matters for us is the quality of the end game, regardless of which one it is.

 

Tell your friends that they are doing a piss poor job running around spreading useless gossips, when they should be in the beta forums of each respective game assisting both teams deliver a good game.

MMORPG's have become religions today. People are willing to kill for them. And people sure forget more and more about having pure fun.
