I heard of someone that had to spend 200 hours standing in town being bored, because they killed too much.  2moons would throw yer butt in prison for such an offense tho. Anyway, to play over a month and never get so much as a scratch, I'd say that is just fine. In 2moons, you'd be PK'ed soon as you hit the Parka Temple map. Even if you were a lowbie just up there exploring about. If they could kill you in the starting 'castle' maps or the one right after it... You bet they would.

It is called thinning the herd, you kill people and break their will. This gets rid of the whiners and the brats. Yes sir, we don't need weaklings in the MMO universe. If you aren't willing to die, get up and continue on... Then you won't be useful to anyone at all.

I miss the old days when that was fun..I was ganked so much I got frustrated, but found others to help find the ganker and kill him/her. THATS FUN!

Crying about it only gets these PvP aspects nerfed so hard you can watch TV and PvP at the same time nowadays! So sad it came to this.

1) Whatever alpha footage you've seen doesn't compare to the current version of the game.  It is MUCH better.  Feels very good.  I would even say seeing a vid of someone filming the screen at gamesday doesn't give quite the same feel as watching and playing live.

2) Movement is fluid, fast, and fun.  Something I worried about in the alpha vids.  Like WoW, but the major different of course being collision detection.  More on that later.

3) No CC.  There really weren't any abilities like fear that make you lose control of your character.  I thought this was a big plus.  Even snares didn't last too long.

4) There are something like 130 instanced PvP scenarios planned.  These things are massive and VERY well done.  Lots of territory, great terrain the graphic.  The terrain was also very strategic and thought out (high ground, chokepoints).  I was very impressed.

5) People have A LOT of HP.  I beat on a caster with my hammerer for 30 seconds just to kill him.  I like this, no getting two shot.  More room for strategy.

6) You have three types of resources: ability points, morale, and tactics.  Tactics can be switched in and out and are passive abilities that specialize you character.  Want to deal more damage, use a crit doubling tactic.  Want more control, use one that makes your stuns last longer.  Ability points regenerate slowly over time and are your main resource.  You use all your spells and skills with these.  You can also sprint and move faster but it eats them up.  Lastly moral.  Moral builds up by doing damage and killing people.  You can choose a moral skill that will activate at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%.  Moral abilities are your bigest badest abilities.  This also seems to be the bar support types need to pay attention too.  I saw a runepriest that just stood still healing like a WoW paladin.  Never got any moral and his heals were real weak.

7) The bright wizard does A LOT of damage.  Developers confirmed he will be a straight up DPS machine.  Magic seems to be the only thing that can get through armor and kill a tank class (who still have a lot of HP).  I watched an engineer try to shoot a tank and it was like firing a BB gun into a concrete wall.  On the flip side ranged physical DPS seemed to do well against a bright wizard (squig herder pwned him).

8) The engineer can build turrents that fire on their own, sweet.  Land mines too.

9) Order won every single match up.  I don't know if this is an initial imbalance, or a deliberate attempt to balance the races a bit (orks are a lot more popular then dwarves in beta).

10) Tanks can taunt in PvP.  The black orc can even through his allys 30 yards behind him to protect him.  If you posistion correctly (use a chokepoint or a line) then you can do pretty well.  In the open field though I found getting to the casters in the back easy.

11) Q+A was fun.  Paul is as funny and full of life as on the podcasts.  The crowd was amazing and enthusiastic.  Q+A was sometimes informative and sometimes not.  They aren't really allowed to answer anything that specific about balance.  Either because they aren't allowed to (marketing) or they don't know (still debating, game 8 months out).  Jeff was the real nitty gritty MMO knowledge guy, Paul was real vague on certain stuff.

12) Might be forgetting something, ask a question if you want.  Overall, AWESOME.
