Was there any word on when American servers would be up? |

The one thing I CAN guarantee about the Darkfall launch.

So the Jan 22nd launch... is that for Europe and the US launch will be later? I saw that it said we are welcome to play, but does that mean on European servers? |

Not for sure... will Dark Elves get an archer/ranger type you think? They have a tank, melee dps, sorcerer, and that last is blank.... any ideas? |

AMD x2 6400+ (190 dollars): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103228
Intel e6750 (190 dollars): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115029
From the benchmarks I've read 6750 is 10-15% faster in a lot of categories. Plus, Intels can overclock higher and produce less heat.
IMO go with the q6600 quad core for like 90 dollars more. So sexy.
Edit: And if you want to see what benchmarks I'm reading, here's just 1 example... read all the pages, gaming, sys mark, rendering and other work applications, overall, etc: http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-362-1.htm
The e6750 beats the x2 6400 either by a little or 8-20%, not to mention you see it consumes less power and produces less heat meaning it can overclock more and increase the performance gap a lot further.... all for the same price. No reason to buy the same price but totally lesser cpu unless you are upgrading a computer and are forced to use an AMD socket mobo... |

The Intel Core2Duo's ROCK AMD really hard. All the new Intel processors are a lot faster than any AMD processor out right now. If you're building a new computer now go for Intel, anything else is crazy. Same price for a lot of extra performance. |

I'm really hoping to get in soon, I am going crazy. |

Poll: Which melee DPS will be feared the most?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 12/01/07 11:22:13 AM
I can't decide on a DPS class =( It's between the Marauder, Witch Elf, and Choppa. I know it's impossible and won't happen in the game, but I wanna know which one is going to be the "best." Marauder sounds the most appealing to me, but I'm worried his mutations are random and uncontrollable, and I want something dependable with high DPS, that plays the same under most conditions.

Will WAR support SLI at launch?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/20/07 11:08:33 AM
I already have 4gb of nice ram.
I'm leaning towards the new revision of GTS which will be better or equal to the Ultras. Just still can't decide on going with 2 or not. I want to avoid headaches with errors and setting it up and it not working, but at the same time, I'd like that extra kick of performance. |

My plan is to buy an EVGA video card and use their Step Up program. Basically you can "step up" and get the next best video card if something new comes out within 3 months of your purchase, and all you have to do is pay the difference. It's a really nice deal. |

Will WAR support SLI at launch?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/20/07 12:46:28 AM
I am building in mid January when the new line of Intel quad cores come out. I am planning on getting the new 8800 GTS revision, or possible 2. I guess I will just have to wait for benchmarks to come out to see just how much a single g92 8800 gts will stack up against an Ultra, let alone 2. |

Will WAR support SLI at launch?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/19/07 10:27:16 AM
Well, I'm not buying 2 cards JUST for this game. I've played MMOs long enough to realize they don't push the envelope of system requirements that much (except Vanguard, which raped my computer...). I do want to play Crysis, and a rig that can play Crysis on Very High with good framerate is my main goal.
I just find myself in the situation that I have like 600-800 to spend on video cards and I figure I can get 2 cards that will give better performance than 1. Also, MMOs like Aion that look really beautiful could probably benefit. I just want some MMO to come out lol, I NEED to level something.... |

Will WAR support SLI at launch?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/16/07 10:47:54 AM
Umm... well I've read benchmarks, the Ultra is about 8-10% better than a GTX, and 2 GT can pretty much destroy a single GTX. That means SLI 8800GT will be able to beat an Ultra, and with the new revision of 8800GTS coming out in December, it'll probably be even better. I just don't know how much of a headache it'll be with an SLI board and trying to configure them. Anybody have experience with SLI and setting it up? |

Will WAR support SLI at launch?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/15/07 11:13:07 PM
Have devs talked about it and confirmed it, or is it just pretty much assumed that most new games will take advantage of it?
And do any of you have opinions on if I should go SLI 8800GT or single 8800 Ultra? Any of you have 680i mobos and maybe even 8800gt's? I'd like to get feedback on if going SLI is worth it, as I've heard the mobos and actual sli itself can be troublesome. |

Will WAR support SLI at launch?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/15/07 10:47:51 PM
Hey all. I'm building a computer in January, and I can't decide between getting an SLI mobo and having 2x 8800GT or getting a P35 mobo and 1 8800 Ultra. I know SLI would probably perform better, but P35 mobo and 1 video card would probably give less headaches, and not all games support SLI. Those that do though will notice it's better. So has there been anything said about WAR supporting SLI? |

Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: Launch Moved: A Talk With Mark Jacobs
News Discussion « General Discussion 11/02/07 10:25:59 AM
While I'm all for releasing polished products, I'm very disheartened because this game set to release about now, and then the developers PROMISED to get it out by early 08'. I would rather play through a slightly less polished game and have changes implemented slowly that way I can get my character started. I just hope I get into Beta soon.... =/ |

Do you really need a working link to see the video to tell you that a witch elf with 2 swords is melee DPS (and have them tell you what melee DPS means). Unless you didn't know what a tank was, there wasn't much new info in this newsletter anyways.. |

I have a 4400 x2 dual core, a 7950 gt 512mb, and 2gb of RAM. I don't think I get the FPS I should be, I only get like 60-80 in Counter-Strike:Source with an FPS config on. Vanguard was real choppy and laggy, which I think might have just been because Vanguard was poorly programmed. But yeah, I think it might be my motherboard, it's like 3 or 4 years old now and is the only thing that hasn't been upgraded. =/ I can't figure it out. |

Korean grinders, why do people play them?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 8/12/07 12:51:35 PM
I think for most people, or at least me, they are a way to tide us over until the next big MMO comes out. I am a UO/FFXI/WOW/Vanguard vet (or refugee? lol) and now me and my friends are waiting for Warhammer, but early 2008 still seems like a long way for us so sometimes it's just fun to kill a little time with other perhaps less stellar games. But to give credit, the "asian grinders" do provide a decent amount of character customization. I'm playing Tantra online now, and the leveling is REALLY fast (seriously, I got to level 25 in 1 1/2 hours) and every level there are lots of stat points and skill points to put in. It really keeps things interesting because it's fun to divvy up stats to your character. |
