you seem to have been mislead there is only one diffrence btween blue-ray and HD-DVD and that is the storage size all the other features are built into the players. you can infact place 1080p Mpeg 2 video on a cd you just wont get much in the way of runtime.

 

 

As for a B-R drive  for the 360 this will only  be a bonus to  360  owners as it will be a cheaper way to obtain blue ray  than buying a new player. 

You seem to be misinformed. Why not learn something instead of making yourself sound like a bestbuy tech who just graduated from the 1hr DVD course. Bluerays sound and video are on the DVD not built into the players. The players themselves are not 100% utilizing the capability of the Blueray technology, AKA the data on the disks. You got the movie and the sound, but blueray also has the ability to switch between scenes to alternate endings and different view angles with the push of a button. Plus the utilization of mass effects that are still not fully functional on the blueray players today. So while Directors are adding these things, expect the technology to start to use these things as players get better.

And who the heck asked about how you could place mpeg2 video to a cd? Didn't you mean to a DVD.

What you guys do not know is that her and Tiger been friends for over 12yrs now and play golf together and do other things together. She made a comment but it was not racist and not ill intended. People need to stop processing things and making them sound bad. Tiger had said she was not making racist comments at him and he said thats ok. Just an update.  It appears that this actually might be a WoW issue, or at least part of the explanation.  There are about 30 pages divided between 2 threads on the WoW tech support forums of people complaining about the exact same issue I have after this last patch.  It seems that whenever large packets of data are being sent to the modem, it causes it to lose connection. I would say a majority of the people with this problem also have the same AT&T DSL that I have and a good number have similar or same model modems, though there are a lot of people with cable internet.

 

Question is, is there something I can do on my end to fix this? I ask this because it not only happens in WoW but when I use say UTorrent which requires a lot of connections or even Call of Duty 4, which with the latest patch after a few refreshes of the server menu it terminates my internet connection (this is also documented on their forums). Is there a way to allow my modem to receive more connections without causing it to lose connection?

RAM is about the only reason I would use Vista 64 as my main OS. It's not going to be compatible with a lot of applications and hardware that will work on Vista 32. Although this may change in the future.

Use the 32bit for everyday stuff and 64bit for the current games that work with vista 64.

Thats nothing. Japan has created a super thin display that is as thick as a dime. Its called an organic display. The picture is crystal clear and unlike conventional LCD screens you can BEND this one and fold it up and it will not break.

But the limiting factor is size, at only 8 inches for the biggest one they got is over $20,000 US. Though I see these high tech displays in about 15yrs in our homes. Imagine a 60 inch wide-screen you can wrap in a circle and play games like crysis with over 230 degrees of view. But they still will be pretty expensive.

Also the quality with these dime thin displays is that they have the quality of a 1080p HDTV or CRT. Which is amazing also. They showed off there one 6 inch display where a tiny fiber optic cable was on the right corner and no back or sides, just this thin display they bent and rolled up with a video playing in HD format.

I hope not. If Smed thinks so he is mistaken. How far can you drag on the EQ series with diminishing returns. Since EQ2 launched it became nothing but a balancing act. What will they show in EQ3 that they couldn't already do in EQ2? Bet it will be the same game engine and same old thing. What will the story be? Oh that Qeynos is no longer there after another 500 years? Come on, if they even thought about an EQ3 it would be Vapor before it got into stage 1 beta.

 I believe this is a consumer who got a new graphics card and installed it himself. With many the times these people have no idea they needed to plug the new video card into the PSU. Mind you without the power pluged into the card it will not work and you get the same problems issued here most times. This is the 2nd biggest thing we see on Nvidia forums for noobs first time upgrading there new PC's with better video cards.

I just played xcom-ufo defense tonight for a few. Forgot I had it. I played the original series years ago and to me this would make one of the most creative MMO's ever if Hasbro and Mythos could ever get together and do it. I don't even know if Mythos still exists and I know Hasbro has the rights to this game series now.

Think it would be very fun to play aliens vs humans. If you picked the alien as your character you would be given every type to choose from. With aliens trying to evade our cities and what not it would be very cool to play it as a 3d game in a large MMO type atmosphere.

Who else thinks this would be a cool MMO? The possibilities are endless with this kind of game. I know at least the crafting part would be awesome. With people building parts for ships and weapons. Having the ability to create your own base for use as your guild.

This would make for a really fun PVP game indeed!!

Faq has requirements for a game to be listed (along with how to suggest a game).
Then there is also the sticky in site suggestions forum, (same forum has a "Shaiya online forum/listing"-thread that has further explanations from Taera & Stradden).

Anything that has to be seated in an electrical contact system can easily be disturbed. The fact that you make such an ignorant statement about electronics makes me wonder if you've actually dealt with anything in regards to them. So, please, don't play this 1-up bunk with me. Reseating any hardware in its electrical connector is a good idea when there seems to be no contact by the OS.

My whole remarks where spot on. You didn't even go through the other possibilities like I did. All you suggested was reseating the card but thats a given for most. I went through the whole process in detail to get him the best help possible to a fix. Now to who is ignorant? Mine was a miss quote on something I thought you said, but the other info I supplied was exactly what he would of got if you were such an expert.

These forums are in bad enough shape and now we see posts that belong on places like  battle.net forums. Seriously guys, way to lower the standard that much more.

Just because this is a strictly MMORPG site doesn't mean they have to stay with MMO game only forums. I am glad they have off-topic and general forums. Without them this site would pretty much be dead for allot of us. Talking about other things with other players is fun.

To get most games that do not work you must play around and add things to the CFG files etc. I am not sure about SB on Mac cause I don't have it on MAC but check the net and google how to get games working on MAC.
