You guys who want to play on high with minimal video lag then turn down the particle affects to low. The particle affects hurt the video card more then anything else. Also maybe turn off or lower to X2 or X4 AA. Details and other stuff you can tweak and get to very high with the same card.

I can't wait to start building my own maps for this using the new crysis editor.

Also to the guy at the top when you said you need to aim more and conserve ammo, have you ever played Farcry? It is essentially the same thing.

OMG such memories, I almost had a tear form. The day I got my box on launch day and seen this brought back so many memories. It was like waiting in line for Star Wars type of memories lol.

Indeed. You may be bored of fantasy, but trust me - theres many that still arent. Fantasy is just my thing, thats the reason I did not like CoX at all. EVE is one of the best games, but I dont play it because I prefer having swords and magic and an avatar.

I however still am happy to hear this.

Oh and ... Elders Scroll = Oblivion :S You listed them as 2 separate games ^^

LOL I did.  And yeah to me I played all these and they would seem like the same game released as we got now like EQ2 Vanguard etc. Not much they can add to these to keep it that different. Oblivion was meant to be a single player game, so was Morrowind.

Mac is nice for a lot of things but if your a gamer you need a PC. There is good vs bad on both but to play games your going to have to bite microsoft's monopolistic ways. MS caters to game companies who put all that support into that OS, Mac is left to making deals to keep some Mac users happy. How long did it take for a Mac WOW release? Wasn't that a long wait?

Just get a PC so your choices are endless.

Well perhaps because Krakatoa was the one that is most documented since it is newer. I always heard of this eruption.

If you are trying to only compare AoC in-game video to DF in-game video, should have said -

"Darkfall has the better looking in game video compared to AoC"

The "ever created" part really, really throws a lot of people off.

Not to mention I did manage to use my creative processes to pull a lot of AOC fanbois in.

Just because those people who are active subscribers who post on the VG official forums doesn't mean that other players who have canceled subs have invalid opinions.

Those posting on the official forums are still active members for whatever reason. While people who played it and bash the game are voicing their opinions on other forums. The validity of having a opinion while subscribed is a little biased, just because they are paying customers means they like the game obviously.

It will be fun to watch the threads on other forums about kids or people in general who have no idea what type of PC you need to play this, and then spouting off about how crappy crysis is because it is choppy to them or can't run.

I am sure to expect tons of these threads soon. Something like, OMG Crysis won't run on my P3 ati 9800 PRO!!! WTF

Read my thread title. I was comparing the video releases for both games. AOC videos look like crap to me and if you go to the other AOC video thread everyone pretty much is saying the same thing.

This video however is the best looking video released between the two. Both these games are very similar in concept and idea but at least I found this video to have more depth in it and great response to it's fluidity. If your playing this video you can see how well it works with the surrounding foliage and grass with flowers.

If I said Darkfall has the best looking game ever created, then you could accuse me of being a pot head or something. But right now I was comparing the two games and how at least for me this video looks the best between the two games released video series.

Ibuypower is the best when it comes to having a solid PC with options that you can pick and keeping price down. Alienware is for the retard geeks with lots of money and not wanting to build their own. Your mostly paying for the name there.

Well yes UO is still fun but coming into the game this late could be a bit unsettling for a player who might not like 2d above graphics, however; they just updated to 3d look but still.

In UO I had over 5million and in EQ2 over 400 plat. In every game I played I was able to sustain and gather large funds. So my question was to see why it matters making money anyway since every game you can pretty much get a ton of in game currency if you work at it.

I don't think out of the 15 major titles I played that I ever had trouble with in game funds. In WOW I had over 8000 gold before I quit. I played my normal hours like normal people who worked and still managed better then most. Making in game currency comes easy to me once I figure out the market and needs.

I have a DVR in 3 rooms and in my bedroom. The problem with it is that they are so loud when they spool up and start doing who knows what in the middle of the night or all through the morning hours. The hard drives in these things are so damn loud! 

Trying to sleep and then the thing powering up and the HD going crazy is so annoying. The cable company has said they all do that and it is normal. So I asked why are you using such loud HD in the DVR units then. They said cost, and the guy also told me he and his wife have the same problem when they go to bed their DVR is incredibly loud when it spools up.

I guess my rant is that a DVR is best out of a sleeping room lol.

Anyone else have this problem?

Your best bet is either UO or EQ2 for crafting to make money from it quick and easy. Or you can try EVE.

this is the most exciting game on MMORPG.COM !  There isn't a sim game out there that has this much drama !  Hell, somoene should make an MMO about making an MMO.  You have to do quests to build a team of developers and artists, slay the evil epic copywrite infringement lawyers, cross open lands of unkown code, and battle the never ending army of forum flamers to finally get your game into the bargin bin at the dollar store !
