ZOMFG the same exact thing is happening to me !! but its been happening for about a year, one of my local friends told me this was happening to him as well. so wierd. i have no idea why this happens

edit: i just looked at the clock a few seconds ago and it said '6:11 PM' . . . .

Your message was edited at 3:11 PM. Run, they're after you.

People who see these " strange occurrences" see them because they're looking for them. Not supernatural or freaky at all, unless you become obsessed enough to write about them in forums.

But it is so weird. How do you explain then everytime I look at the clock it is the 11 minute on everytime I look? I look maybe only 3 times a day at the clock and see that everytime. If my mind was looking for that then I would agree if when I looked for the number but not out of the blue hours later when I look at the time and it always shows for example 6:11 3:11 11:11 9:11.....................

This all started about a week ago and every day at least 3 times a day when I look at my digital clock it has the minute of 11..Either 9:11 11:11 2:11 3:11 4:11 6:11 etc. etc.

I don't get it. I am perfectly sane and have been undergoing some medical issues lately but that's all. I been dizzy and lightheaded for 2months now and seeing a neurologist about my head issues. I am worried about this because every time I look at the time it is got the minutes in 11.

Also my digital is not near where I can subconsciously see the time and say to my brain look at the time now it is 3:11. It is driving me a little nuts trying to figure it out because there is no way I should see the minutes at 11 every time I look at the time. At least 3 times a day when I look. Freaking me out man lol.

Anyone else had this problem before?

A side note.....the differance in visual quality between 360 and PC might be small TODAY....but what about a year from now, when new graphics cards are available?

360 users will be enjoying the same graphics until the next x-box generation....years from now.

PCs are constantly evolving, and we don't have to wait years to enjoy the benefits of that.

Umm hate to tell you this but a graphics card is a rendering device. The actual graphics and textures are built with the game engine, something you might want to look into. When you create a game and the games engine that you make the games textures and what not, you only can go so far with polygons. The more polygons and textures the more quality the game looks (realism). The higher the graphical power you need to render those textures etc.

So improving on a graphics card does not make the games look better. This just allows you to render more of the games textures etc. at higher quality which nearing the games limits on quality when it was built. Essentially giving you what graphics the game was built on that is maxed out to be. So a game like crysis for example, if you could get the max quality settings on that game then any future graphics cards coming out will not make the games visual graphics any better, you just get better FPS.

What people fail to understand here and know nothing about is that graphics in games are nearing their theoretical limits. An example here in this forum of some screens on some consoles etc. Crysis and Farcry2 are both good example of what the limitations will be for many years to come. If your a computer science geek with some knowledge of graphics then you no doubtingly know that for 10+ yrs from now the current games can only improve up to crysis or farcry 2. Technology does not improve that much to give us realism to that of CG or life like pictures to make games on.

Your looking at another 20+ yrs before we see CG quality or life like graphics. I assure you that any console created past xbox360 or PS3 in terms of hardware updates will be able to produce the same quality graphics of any modern advanced game like crysis or farcry2.

Well if you watched Shrek3 you can see hes not all that strong. I mean a Ogre should of broke those chains easy and other things. Popeye would of done that plus picked up a house or something and bashed his enemy. But Popeye needs his spinach, if you said who would win if popeye had spinach near him then Popeye would win. But without it the Ogre could just sit on him.

We are already starting to see the PC advantages emerge again.  Games like crysis will very quickly become the norm instead of the exception and increases in the Physics capabilities of PC Games will bring them far and beyond their Console brethren.   Increases in the hardware of the common PC will bring genres like MMOs and FPS games up as well by allowing them to have larger and larger numbers of players occupying a single playing field.  This will also allow the PC to move well beyond the abilities of the Console game.

There is no way a single game like crysis will make millions of people go and spend upwards of $2300 to build a PC capable of playing these types of games. The market is very small for these eye candy games and not every gamer can afford a PC this powerful to play them. So that argument is flawed. It is still the main reason 10million players are still playing WOW, because the system specs to play that game are really low and more then 80% of all computers in the homes are over 5yrs old. Only a handful are capable of playing the new games and even smaller portion are capable of playing crysis with medium to medium high settings.

The idea that games get better and more eye candy doesn't mean people will go out and buy new hardware or new top end PC's every 3yrs to play these new titles. Mind you the price to do so right now is about $2300 to play crysis with minimal problems. Let me get my crystal ball out and see how the future is in prices on hardware..........Wait I think the answer is the prices on hardware will continue to be the same or higher as newer hardware comes out. That's how it has always been for years now.

This is why this argument doesn't work and why a console system that will be built cheap and can do everything the PC can almost do will be the norm in the future and keep the PC sales down. Look as the 360, it is essentially a PC, now when MS starts building their future console with core 2 duo processors or better hardware I think that they could play a game like crysis with all settings maxed with no lag because what you fail to forget is a console has fewer IO's and less operations needed to do other things between the GPU CPU and memory. It is a system that simply plays games unlike a PC that works much harder and needs more powerful hardware to run the best games. So if MS did have a crysis title per say, it probably could play that game full settings once it was optimized.

You completely missed the point.  My point was that a game like crysis will be the norm in another year or two and a PC that can run Crysis will be the PC that sells for around 800-1000 dollars.

By that time we still won't be seeing a new console for probably another 3 years.  So you will get three years of games where the baseline is Crysis on PC and Crysis level of quality is still unattainable on a Console.

Now of course MS might release a new Xbox before then but then you are missing your Price advantage if they release a new console every 3-4 years instead of the 5-7 years that has been the norm.  (and there is talk that Sony wants the PS3 to last even longer up to 10 years)

So wait, a game like Farcry and Doom3 or any those titles that are very graphical heavy and still need a great PC to play today after what 4-6yrs after launch needs to be played for that period of time without getting bored of them? What I am saying is that these games are molded around the current hardware available not the other way around. So these games will continue to be very costly to run 3yrs down the road after launch because that's how computer hardware is.

You do not see drastic performance changes and value in the hardware in that short of time. We only began to see DDR2 sales go down a year ago while older PC's using DDR are more expensive to operate. Hardware is a funny thing, a 8800gt that costs over $300 today will still be near that price 2yrs from now, it is how it is. Newer hardware coming out gets more expensive not cheaper and sales rarely go down enough to make building a PC powerful enough to play a game like crysis today barely and then play a new title 3yrs later with low settings without upgrading.

The fact is if a console is introduced 3yrs from now that is as powerful as a PC today that can play crysis near high settings will operate a similar eye candy game then with max settings because the way a console operates vs a PC, then it makes the PC almost obsolete if you only game. You can make a console play a game like crysis and all it's eye candy 3yrs from now and go 10yrs down the road with that same game graphics and not be underestimated by a PC. Because a game like crysis you can only go so far in graphical performance and realism before you get to a point where anything after that doesn't really matter in a visual experience. Crytek knows this, and like everyone else in the industry knows once a game like crysis was introduced it was rather a safe bet to say that is as good as it gets for years to come. What can get better but hardly worth mentioning is physics because they are done nicely now.

You can't take the grand canyon and make it anymore beautiful or magnificent.

Well combined they have estimates in the 600mill year. Regardless of how accurate some sources are or not, the real thing that is interesting here is that the gold sales are mostly over seas. No taxes!!

My only question is, are the sales and profits government controlled? Are China and other Asian countries having the strict sales of gold and accounts or is it controlled by individuals who can spend the money anyway they want. It would be hard to believe if China didn't run it's own gold farms. But then again that number of total gold sales per year of 600 mill is not all one person or unit. It is many thousands of individuals selling and so it is like porn industry, that number of Billions profit per year in porn industry is not one company. So what we might not ever know is what is the biggest gold seller income per year and where does that money go.

When we do finally have information to release, we hope it will have been worth the wait.

Thanks for your interest!

This is a refreshing answer. An honest dev... who'd have thunk in these days of fictional release guesstimates?

I'll have to take a look at this game.

Yes, honest and to the point. Not only will this game be good based on what I seen and screens but look at the engine. They sold the engine to some really top game companies now to produce some great titles. If other top game companies see this game engine as the best then we should be in for a treat.

While in this case the individual violated NDA, it does raise the question of under what circumstances, if any, you should be restricted from digital downloads that you paid for.

I know Steam has some clause or other that says they can take away your access to any and all games you buy through Steam for whatever reason they want.

For what it's worth, while I have no problem with them banning him from Frontlines, and so forth, yanking his license on D2D is taking things a bit far.

Access to his paid for games is tied to his account. Account deleted, so are the games. Anyone with a bit of forethought would realize this fact before buying digital downloads from anywhere. If IGN were to suddenly go out of business, those games are lost. If Steam were to suddenly go out of business, those games are lost that require activation to play ( cracks not withstanding). If he didn't have the sense to make copies of the games he bought, that's his lapse in judgement, not the distributor. If he breaks the terms of his contract with the distributor, that's not the distributors' problem either.

On a positive note, he can no longer ever say NDAs don't mean shit.

Yup, that is all true and when you sign the NDA you click yes by agreeing to the rules of the NDA. It is there for a reason and if the developers can't trust gamers to test a game then they will enforce the NDA to it's fullest. Last time I seen this happen was during WOW beta when a player broke NDA and had his IP baned from ever playing the game, but you can get a new IP, not sure how that turned out.

Here is what I know and believe will happen in the near future. Consoles will begin to offer solid Internet connections to do web surfing (unrestricted) and play games without needing any game cd. Companies like MS are already began research and development of such a thing and if it ever comes out might make people use the game console as the PC. Imagine surfing the web with no limitations, playing any game you want on the console even older titles by simply clicking the game you want to play. Of course the fee for this yearly would give MS billions more in revenue *sigh*, well lets hope they fix Vistas problems so I can build the best PC next year to play Farcry2. We know xbox live started all this for them but taking it to the level of being able to play ever game that is made for this future console over the internet through the console would be the biggest thing since Atari.

I still think that a PC will always offer benefits consoles can not. But if MS has it there way the near future will bring the PC to their console and try to limit PC sales.

Whats up with all the pirate themed games now following POTBS. There can't be any reason to launch this game because it is about the same as Voyage, also with the hype and attention POTBS has, I doubt these people making this genre will ever have a successful launch unless it is 100% free and as good as POTBS.

Every MMO needs a tutorial. I don't care who or what people say. Without the tutorial I find that playing a game that I never played before can be somewhat transitional in time that could of been spent telling it's player what is what and how things work. Tutorials are an advantage to the players as well. Veteran players who see new players who never did the tutorial tend to ask many questions in OOC or channels when the answers are all there in the tutorials. So tutorials help tremendously, it is up to the players who are new to these games to use them. The benefits of tutorials also shows the players how much the game company cares about its players.

Hmm maybe because WOW is still fun and many of the countries outside of the USA have poorer economies thus they have cheaper older computers and WOW runs so well on old POS computers. Plus many people find more value and fun in WOW then the other games which take a greater deal of money to get running decently. Remember that many foreigners are not spoiled by all these other games. Not everyone is a MMORPG fanatics like most of us here on this website.

Thank you for respecting the ruleset of the designated RP server by advertising it as non-RP on your whim.
Antonia Bayle WAS a great RP server before the hordes of non RP people decided it was the In-thing of the season.
Blah...

Well...it was not on my whim, and I am sorry that people have been saying on here over and over that it IS RP, but not forced...That is not a non-RP server, that is a choice server....

No one should be forced to do anything on the servers, so by showing YOUR attitude, it shows why people may be less than likely to even play the game...

Is THAT how you wish to present the community?

I think not. I for one respect the RP'ers, and if approached, will follow their idioms...and if someone else does not, I do not need to speak to them, just like you do not.

If you have an issue with someone...then /ignore works quite well.

So, really..I prefer the fact that people are willing to join the game, and are willing to play, and I feel AB has the best community (barring a choice few "hardcore" rules people)

Cheers!

I am sorry but if your playing on a RP server you must RP. Forced? Yes it should be and many other games enforce the RP policy even EQ2 does on RP servers. You can't just ignore people when you play a RP server strictly speaking if you want to RP. That is why there are RP servers that follow the RP policy and amendments set forth by the RP community and Devs.

I know a few games where if you are caught doing things against this policy you are given a warning then other strict things like bans can occur.

If you picked a RP server then expect the RP and don't be so ignorant on the facts that the RP servers have for policies and what not.

Now it does become a forced grouping and raiding game towards the end, but don't confuse that with being hardcore, as there is nothing challenging about raiding.

And the bell rings loudly!

Raiding isn't challenging? You either must of never played EQ2 raiding in end game content or your speculating based on what others have told you. Lots of people brag when they are in the top raid guilds on EQ2, many will tell their friends who are not raiders in the game about content they will never see based on how raiding is in EQ2.

The main thing with EQ2 is that it is mostly hardcore to enjoy all the real game. When you even solo as a player many of the quests are group quests or partial raids X2 for stuff that will yield you better then average gear. I would say 80% of all quests are group oriented if you want to get better quest gear in the level 40-50's range. Solo players who expect the better gear and more fun will have a hard time playing EQ2.

I agree. This was my main reasons for leaving EQ2 after we had finished all end content in EOF expansion. With armors being all the same look and feel. The point is EQ2 has so many armors just the same look but different colors maybe and for hardcore raiders we liked our styles of different armors and weapons in other games like WOW or EQ1. This game is lacking so badly in it's AVATAR appearances and feel.

It isn't cool to spend long hours acquiring new armors that look the same as crafted in appearance or low level dropped armors. We need more immersion in the appearances of EQ2 AVATARS for the better part of over a year ago now. The game was fun but this was most upsetting to those of us who love to look all cool in our supposedly high end raid gear.

So, no, I don't care if people are RPing child sex in a virtual world.

However, if people sexually abuse children in the *real* world: those people, if convicted, should be hung from their necks until dead. Why? Because *real* children are involved.

I've met women who like to RP (online) that they're being raped. In fact, some of them like RPing that they're being very violently raped. They get off on it. But would they want that to happen to them *for real*? Hell no (at least, I've never had one of them tell me that they would, and it would creep me out if they did.)

If no real children are harmed, then The Law should have no say in the matter. In order to make real child porn, real children are abused. Not so with the virtual aspects. That's the line I draw.

Your so wrong in your thought process. People do care and the ones like you who say they don't care have no idea of the processes that go on between doing something in a fantasy world vs real.

Look, if your doing this kind of stuff in a game your ideas are basically that. You think something up in a game this alarming then you must have real life situations or problems involved in this ideas.

Because the idea expressed in this game was related to an actual real life scenarios it is considered just that. It wasn't like a virtual fantasy of naked night elves running around kissing people it was actual child prostitution which any real grown parent can look at this and see how wrong it is. Anyone thinking up something so horrible in a game should be investigated for illegal child porn activities.

Nobody has a right to express their sick thoughts like these in a game, I don't care how much of a role play game it is. It should not be allowed and their needs to be further probes and investigations into these things when they happen in online games. We already monitor the chat rooms around the world because of sick perverted child molesters who try and pick up children in these chat rooms, what is the difference in a game now? These predators are always trying new ways at which they can do their sick stuff online.

I agree this is something they should investigate further. If they are doing this in a game they must have illegal content on their computers. Haha that would be sweet if they did a to catch a predator on this game lol.
