About the OP saying planetside is ranged, yeah it is ranged so are going to be Archers and Mages.... and about melee i have seen games implement melee perfectly knife works like a charm in counter strike... i have even seen mods implementing melee combat and it was okay...

It is one of their main features lol if by now it isnt working they would already announced something the game is in beta....

And ppl say this game isnt bringing anything new to the table u must be using drugs...

If they can make a flawless game with the features they promised this game is going to be the greatest mmorpg ever released...

Btw there are games already with real time combat and they havent been that bad IE Neocron or Planetside..

Or look at counter strike or battlefield with a ping of 150 u can still aim and hit almost anybody...

they just gotta have a netcode like the one in counter strike the game compensates lag it better dont be something like Quake3

PvP in WAR actually has some meaning... lol

PvP in WoW in the other hand is just a meaningless feature... it is just there...

thats neocron it is a great game it is pretty old but lots of ppl played it...  try neocron if u dot mind pre 2004 graphics it is the best mmofps ever made (not that there is too many lol) i enjoyed a lot that game

and there is planetside but there isnt too many roleplaying elements in that game

btw huxley also isnt a mmorpg it is more a mmofps it is almost exactly like planetside...

btw i understand your point first person real time combat is the best thing but i guess it is something pretty dificult to implement and developers are lazy asses that go the easy way old EQ boring and proben formula grind grind grind...

im waiting for age of conan personally.. i really hope they dont screw it, they are on the way to make the best mmorpg ever

Just some referal points but it is totally legit and it is something well known in the poker community that there is sites like this, they recieve money from the poker rooms for refering players and they share that income by giving free bankrolls

Well i dont think this is prohibited here im going to put a page that gives u a free bankroll to play poker online... this is for ppl who wants to start playing poker and make some money

Well it is a really tough call, i really hope BOTH games are amazing... hey ill suck playing 2 games at the same time but ill have a blast playing them...

Both games look amazing and got amazing ideas on them but i dont know i played AO and... they screwed it badly when it went gold... it seems to me that Mythic have a higher budget and more experience hard things to implement like RvR will be easy for them because they already did it one time...

Another point everybody is forgetting is that Funcom likes to release lots and lots of expansions even free ones... thats pretty nice..

Im playing Vanguard im enjoying and not amazed by it and i never expected to be... it is that simple ppl should now what they are buying...

The game is with the best mmorpgs out there right now and that isnt much because all the mmorpgs out right now are just OKAY... nothing amazing

Now Age of Conan and Warhammer Online those 2 games i expect to get amazed by those 2 if i dont ill be disappointed...

This is what I was referring to as well.  I fully expect that someone who spends twice the amount of time will advance faster, have better gear, have more abilities.  That is absolutely understandable.  However, will the advantages from the gear be so overwhelming that it can not be countered by skill to a point.  WoW raiding is a perfect example, the gear discrepancy for the people who could/would/liked-to join giant raids and run the same raid night after night had overly significant advantages due to that gear in the PvP settings IMO.  One of the reasons my account has not been on for a significant time now.   It absolutely should take me longer to get to the top tier if I am playing half as much as the next guy, but when I get there I shouldn't be so overmathched that regardless of how much skill or understanding I have of my abilities, my chances are slim due to gear descrepancy.
