From what ive heard and seen the Necro class has be very easy to level quickly, causing a steady ammount of damage with summoned creatures and spells yet taking little damage. DPS is hard to state considering nothing really matters untill higher levels which no one knows about yet. I would say that Necro has more steady damage like i said though, probibly not having many Strong attacks that can cause large ammounts of damage with a slow cooldown rate on its spells. If  your looking to get killing blows i dont think Necro is the class to be.

I think AoC has great character development and a great combat system. With its good ideas on Seige and Raids the PvP doesnt look bad either. It has the potential to be an outstanding game. It looks like alot will have to do with your guild and working in groups which will also make a great community inside the game. I dont see this game failing at all.

WoW wont die simply because people are too dumb to realize that they are going to make it a money sucking game......

EQ is the best example of this, Constantly coming out with new expantions and making people buy them to continue to play. Putting in things that can just be patched in but insted making people pay for it.

WoW has such a big fanbase that they can now do this too. Burining Crusade and The Frozen Lich King or w/e its called(coming out). I stopped playing WoW after I played my friends 60, now 70, character. I realized that there is nothing left to do after 70 accept get gear, sit by a BG master and pvp. Dont get me wrong PvP is the only thing i honestly look for in a MMORPG because i like compitition, but i just dont like capping out and having nothing else to do.

Some people like this and because they are constantly raising the level cap and adding stuff yet making people pay for it, they will continue for years.

I can only hope that WAR takes over.

I am almost positive someone else posted this like a day ago but I agree.

Make AC free for maybe 2-3 months then add a 5.99 subscription. I think that alot of old players would play for the 2-3 months and with the boost of community that they would resub. After maybe 4-6 months of 5.99 then bump back up to 12.99.

I highly doubt this would happen because with all the new games coming out and LOTRo Turbine has alot of things to occupy them. Besides the fact that LOTRo is their first sucsess seince purchasing the AC franchise they probibly wont look back now and I gaurantee AC is the last thing on their minds. Because of the LOTR sucsess I dont see AC being up in the next year - year and half.

For every class getting nerfed another class is unnerfed. I dont play currently but it sounds like you are using a dominant class that pwns all and they need to nerf it some.

Well if we are going for real old school, Caveman with big stick pretty much dominated everyone that tried to raid SE

I actually recall someone having an AC1 server and it was workable but he was forced to have it closed down because info on it got out and Turbine threatened to sue.

So I think if you make a AC2 server, keep it to friends.

1. It depends, if you start now you will probibly want to start on Darktide(pvp) Frostfell or harvestgain.

2. I kind of disagree with the top 2 post I think AC has the best combat system out of any game out there. You can dodge while your casting unlike other mmorpgs, It takes more skill then it does grinding to get the best new attack. 

3. Its grinding but you can macro, uncontrolled macro is not allowed but alot of people do it anyway, Find a good spot were mobs spawn, turn on macro and wala, in a day or 2 you can be 100+, with a good patron and clan you can find good hunting spots and macro with clan members, its easy to hit 275 in a month or 2.

Id have to say though play darktide, its alot more fun, leveling is slower because alot of the good leveling spots are either camped or raided by other clans but once you hit 140+ with some good tinked armor and a weeping weapon you can hand with higher levels, example I have a 128 mage, 1v1 I can beat most mages up to 275, the game is amazing its pure skill based so Id say try it out.

If you do let me know becuase if you start out knowing nothing you wil get bored.

Thanks guys for the info, I didnt know alot about the game and i am really a PvP player, Oldschool AC and oldschool DAoC and I am hoping that WAR can take me off the Old good PvP games and into a next gen PvP game. Its just that alot of recent games have been really over hyped by myself and i am sure other players as well.

Ok I have a question and Im not flaming so please dont just respond wildly, but actually respond with back up details and such.

Ok I have not realy read alot on this game and I have only recently looked into it but to me the game looks like WoW.

The game has RvR, kind of like WoWs Horde vs Alliance. The game is based on PvP which I like but so is WoW pretty much. The classes look pretty cool but I dont want another WoW game were you quest non stop and get stupid rewards like 2 gold.

I played LOTRo and Ive already gotten somewhat bored at level 15, WoW I got extreamly bored at level 27 and leveled my friends 48 for a little but It was the same exact quests as level 27 with different monsters.

I think personally the game looks OK because Warhammer the board game was cool where you paint your own peices and such. I just dont understand why the game is so hyped. LOTRo still is hyped and I think now it is a WoW copy.

Off topic but I personally think that PvP games like this need to give you XP for killing other players. More XP infact than you get from killing monsters. It takes more skill to fight someone with an actual brain that knows when to do what then it does to kill a monster that sits there. Asheron's Call started this but you get like 1,400 xp for a kill and you can get 1,000,000 from a random monster. So I think you should get more XP from killing a player your level or higher then you get from grinding on a Mob of monsters that spawn in one spot and you  can cast a few AOE spells or use a few AOE attacks and get a butt load of xp.

I never really liked WoW. When I pked on my friends 60 toon its was ok at best. I dont like battle grounds but raiding towns was fun. I just dont think its that great of a game and I hate that 90% of the newer games are trying to copy it. I really like games were you can grind for mass XP in a short ammount of time. AC for example, you grind, you pk, you grind, you go on a few quests, you grind. All the new games have skill trees and such, AC you can just pump XP into a skill and make it better. Someone on Harvestgain maxed a char to 275 in like 27 hours of play time with the help of an entire clan but still.

WoW does have its perks but the quests are all the same, kill x monster x ammount of times, loot x ammount of items. Then when you get past one area you are like YES im gonna get something new, you spend most of your money on new items and go onto a different area. First quest you get, kill x monster x amount of times, and you think to your self, wait didnt I just do this?

AC should go free to play. After 3-4 months maybe 5 dollars a month then after another 2-3 maybe up to 10.

If AC went free everyone would come back so it would be worth the 3 month free play.

There is not longer auto attack which i think there was back in the day it was soo long ago that i played.

Pretty much any long range class rapes because your shots come how fast you click. But if you get up close with a jedi you are still done for. Now you can start as a Jedi which I think is completly stupid I remeber when you needed holograms or w/e or max out 3 different random classes to become a jedi so there werent alot around now you can start as one which is just dumb.

That is not 100 percent true Squal'zell. Take Asheron's Call for example. They had a level cap of 126, but while you still hunted you were gaining xp and had a hidden level. So you really couldnt tell what level you were without AC Decal. Example is my monarch Morlok was really level 212 but when you IDed him it said 126.

I have not read anything on GW but I would highly doubt them going from the lowest level cap in any mmo that I have ever seen (20) to an endless level cap which I have never seen either. Maybe they have a PvP rank that never ends but I dont see them allowing a player to play non stop and be unstopable.

Yes I would but I liked SWG alot better when a Jedi class was RARE!!!!  Now you can start out to become a jedi that is so stupid. I just got a 14 day freetrail to see how the game is now compaired to when I had only seen 1 jedi in the game and I was maxed out in like 2 professions.
