Why is it that corporations have decided that no one but them should be allowed to have a domain name? A fan site is something a corporation should be happy to see.

Okay, so the big boys didn't care to create a fan site as good as someone else and that someone else has done well enough at it to even turn a buck... isn't that like saying that people can't collect and trade Barbie Dolls? Oh wait, no that would be more like the buying and trading of accounts... another retarded position of the gaming MMO industry. I guess it would be more like saying there could be no fan sites talking about Barbie Dolls or any other product on the market.

Honestly, what products other than MMO's have so many restrictions placed on the consumers? If I buy a car, I can upgrade it, use the hell out of it, sell it, trade it...  ... and the same goes for guns, ammo, knives, and in some states women... but MMO companies have become so greedy and controlling that it has become pretty disgusting in my humble opinion.

They want you to grind your life away to play their pathetic games, then they release an expansion to make you grind more, and if that doesn't work they release another expansion and add twice the content to draw you back.... to grind more.

I found this article only because I was curious about Warhammer online after not playing it for over a year... I see i still don't care to play it.

I like mmos.... because you get to PvP. It is to me a lot more interesting to pit your wits and skill against another person because you never know for certain how that other person may play.

I think something that I miss most is having self sustaining communities and player owned cities, bases that could be destroyed, those pesky choke points Raph Koster seemed to think was needed in MMORPGs in order to allow people to run into each other. Those things are the RPG part of the MMO and laughed at or scorned by a lot of PvPers, but without them people don't have community loyalties that bind them within a game and they don't stick around.

One thing that seems to be more and more numerous are these MMOs that seem to think you need to stand in one spot and be real still to cast some stupid spell at someone else who has to run to you, away from you, or stand real still so they can cast some stupid spell. What I am getting at is that I kinda miss seeing huge running battles where you may not be able to run but if you did you could still fight.

Now I know there are plenty of games that have a commando or hunter or something that can run and fight, but I wish all the characters could.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy games like Half-Life 2 and CSS that don't make me pay every month and I have to admit that World of Warcraft has the best finished product to log into and level up in an MMO environment, but thats all. I don't want to just level up and keep buying endless expansions to keep leveling more.

I would be quite happy to stay in a game and keep paying with multiple accounts if I could find an MMO that had the finished.... well lets just say the unbuggy look and feel of WoW but with real communities and running open world PvP.

Make non PvP instanced based servers if you like, but real open world all out PvP with player owned cities, running battles, player city owned faction bases that can be destroyed.....

It has been years now. I still miss the old pre patch 9 Star Wars Galaxies. I still can't play what is called SWG now. I still float in and out of WoW for nor reason other than boredom.

And I still can't seem to find a PvPmmoRPG that wants to take the time to just add in the ability for gamers to create and utilize self sustaining communities within the game beyond guilds. Well an attempt was made with Conan but instanced and buggy, I can't get into it.

Are there any games that are even in concept at this point that takes these things into consideration?

I got to cancel my sub from the SWG launcher "my account" logged into station , hit accoutn subs and the option was there to cancel / re-sub (ha! not likely)

I was perma banned long ago from the forums so maybe thats why I am having difficulty. Im no 13 yr old, I am just tired of paying when I haven't been playing for months.

I have an account running there still, I have tried it for several months and everyone on my server moved to Bloodfin. Now only about 2 to 5 are PvPing in restuss on Kauri server with any regularity and so I decided to nisubscribe but when I go to my account management page and then go to the area listed as the place to view, change, or cancel accounts, there is no option to end, cancel, unsubscribe, or otherwise stop payment for my account. I have sent several e-mails to SOE without recieving a reply as of yet.

I had no trouble getting into the monthly scheduled payment but getting out means I have to stop payment thru my credit card company or does anyone know of some "hidden" link to unsubscribe from SOE?

I know I know, some of you told me so. I went and tried and in the end I only hope that the next time Torres and Smedley take their $100k+  vehicles in for an oil change that the manufacturure hands them back a Ford Pinto in exchange and tells them its all part of the license agreement so that they can get a taste of how much they have retarded and regressed Star Wars Galaxies into the lump of poodoo it is and has been since the Combat Dumbdown went into effect.
