I've started playing VCO when Beta day 1 started (22-december) until last week-end, so that's almost 2 months. I decided I'll post my review about the good and the bad.
Good:
- It's free. No initial fee, no monthly fee. Free to play.
- The graphic are well done. Even when zooming closely it's really nice. Except when sailing in high sea, where it's more cartoon-like.
- Open pvp on land and sea.
- Fighting professions, Resource professions, Crafting professions.
- Different kind of boats available depending of the type of player (warship, explorer, merchant).
Now the bad:
- Free game means many accounts per player, which at the end ruins the game.
- if pvp, then game is not free. Items for real cash are needed to be able to compete against other players, like insta heals items.
- Game is being translated from Korean to English, but badly. Many mistake in dialogue, sometimes hard to understand what it means.
- Lots of quests bugged.
- In game support is not helping at all.
- Skill system limited, only able to choose 3 skills per profesion.
- Only 2 classes: male, female
- Many afk players leveling Sea skills and land skills.
- Lots of lagg as soon as 20-30 players in one zone. Like Athens starter city which is annoying for new players.
- Ability for players controling a city to repeatidelly expell other players from many cities, so preventing even someone to do quests in those cities.
As a summary I would say it's a nice game to play considering it's free.
