Basically. With today's patch, they changed the Open ruleset so you can go one tier down without getting 'chickened' so level 12+ can can come back into the level 1-11 areas but only the Open ruleset was stated. Otherwise in the Core rule set, you turn into a chicken if you go into the RvR areas once you have exceeded the max level for the Tier. |

This AddOn might do that for you, I haven't tried it yet though.
I just grabbed the DL for MoveTip. The general instructions for installing are for WoW. Does it need the same path as in the WoW instructions? (Interface/Addons/XYZ?) |

An informational post like this one especially with release (for headstart) only a couple days off, they need the info out more than they need non-Eldars to know they are testing...woo. Big secret there ;P |

Thank you, I did not know that. Something I figured out very quickly. I remapped 'Nearest' to TAB and 'Next target' to F. Has worked well for me. |

The stuttering is an issue and has been acknowledged as a 'we're fixing that now' issue. One small workaround is to not look at the skyline when you run. You can still look up (not at your feet) but not show th sky. That has helped me.
I've only had 2 (as I recall) CTDs but I do get this annoying 'black screen' for 5-10 seconds at times and then the game recovers and I get to see all the models re-drawing themselves. Sometimes if I fast enough after logging out I see a warning about a video driver not working which 'has recovered'. (And before anyone says it, yes I have the current nVidia driver installed. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the 64 bit driver) All in all, there are definitely some 'stuff' to fix but I'm happy. Looking forward to seeing what the 8AM uptime this AM brings for fixes. |

A small negative statement from a large fan based on site can have a negative impact on sales, Even if it's retracted later. It's called mudslinging (see the current US election status for more info) The review is 'hopeful' with negative overtones so it can't get hauled in for liable but I suspect collusion somewhere. Or the writer is a fanboi carefully wrapped in a 'non-biased writer wrapper'. |

I'm not complaining, mind you. Just saying that these 'pre-built' scenario groups (they join as a group) have something of an advantage to the 'lone' wolf factor of Order. All in all, I think it's too early to tell. Chaos people are sneaky underhanded evil smelling yuckies. They always find a way to 'work' the system. |

The flight masters are in the first warcamp which varies in distance from the start point. In general though, you can get to them around level 5. If you know where they are and have an alt or a friend send you a couple silvers, you can leg it, and make it at level 1-2. |

The other AH is in Altdoft of course. I've found one lair while roaming around but it wasn't opened up yet. As well as the instances under the cities. I don't mind the crafting. It's generally easy to do and can be done on the fly if you have the mats. I'm most curious about the Talismans. I've found many good gear items that have 1 or more slots for talismans but wouldn't wear them because green items' stats offset the armor bonus. Oh well. We'll see at release. |

IB is made to be a tank. They and the SM are the only true tanks on the Order side. They directly balance the Orc tank and the Chaos tank. There is a distinct balance but it's across the lines versus on the same side. |

While I've seen a number of bugs and reported them, most were very minor. Quest descriptions, map errors, and a few little wording issues. In general I see a lot of folks who say 'I've Beta tested a lot of games so I know what I'm doing...etc' who may or may not actually take ownership for issues on their own end of the game. Sure, it's very easy to say 'This game Sucks! I can't run it because of bugs!' The problem lies with the majority of folks who are running it and NOT having the issues that make the game unplayable. When that happens, folks need to check closer to home and take ownership of the issues that are stemming from their computer, ISP, lack of knowledge etc. Sure, you might have the rare PC configuration that makes stuff crash and that sucks but for the most part, unless you really don't meet the requirements of the game, most issues can be worked out if you use the tools.
(Also, just posting that the game sucks really isn't going to help you or hurt others if that is your intent. Asking about an issue is often the best way to find a 'fix' for stuff. Even PC professionals do it...probably more than the general users!)

You might try making a 'clean' admin account, reinstall the game on that, shut off all background programs (esp the anti virus) and try running it from there. |

And after level 10 you can start throwing points into your Masteries which create a new line of speialization. Will other use the same, sure but it does change playstyle a good bit. I'm loving the game. Can't get enough. Heres to hoping the folks who want to love it find the thing that makes the love happen. |

I hope (if there's a huge one out there) that they filter the patching by CEs versus Standard versus New Buyers so that everyone (this pertains more to CEs/standards) doesn't have to wait as long. We'll see come the weekend, I suppose.

As someone pointed out, strategy and good teamwork do tend to win the day. Sure if you have a level 11 in a scenario and you are facing level 2, 3 and 4 characters, you're going to roll them. If it's one on one and even levels, depends on how you play. If you have a tank who is full toughness going against primarily physical players, they are going to withstand the onslaught. Then add a BW into the mix and they are going to take a hell of a lot more damage. They don't have the 'extra' stat points to help mitigate. RPs were made with the shield/50% damage reduction so they could stand there while tanks and beating the crap out of them and still keep the BWs and the SWs alive. If the opposing team doesn't fight 'strategically' to help offset specific areas of difficulty, people are going to die. A perfect example is when a team i was on was generally mixed with very little high DPS got into a scenario with a hell of a lot of reasonably equipped tanks. The tanks just waded in and beat the snot out of us. One or two kept killing the healers while the other couple continued to pop on the guy holding the artifact (Mordenkainen's scenario). Folks were tending to target the guys attacking the artifact holder. While good in theory, with the healers dead there was no respite from the attacks. If the healers were alive and had stayed back a bit, they could have kept the artifact holder alive (longer at any rate) and what DPS we did have could have plinked away at the tanks.

Mine went through. The servers went down for maintenance about 45 minutes ago (8AM EST). The 'note' section on the launcher says they are expected up around 10:30AM EDT. Perhaps once they come back up your error will go away. |
